This is because there are more vulnerable smaller fulani settlements in many parts of Taraba. Hardly do you find such in Benue and parts of Plateau. So the fulanis usually attack Benue people from hidden forest camps bases and from neighbouring Nasarawa forests.

There is a Numan confederacy and no, Numan, Lamurde, Guyuk, Shelleng & Demsa are overwhelmingly christians. Muslims are not up to 10% in these places, hence they produce only christian leaders! There are no fulani district heads or traditional rulers in these 5 LGAs. The Hamma Bachama, a first class traditional ruler is their king over there!

Don't forget that even Batta people very close to Yola in Girei are not under fulani rule. They have their own first class chief!

Yes, majority of Adamawa is under fulani, except for the Numan confederacy which covers 5 LGAs.
Numan, Demsa, Lamurde, Guyuk and Shelleng. These places mostly populated by Bachama people were never conquered by fulanis and have never been under fulani rule, even since during the colonial period where many unconquered northern tribes were fraudulently forced under emirates through the indirect rule system. This is the reason why half or even more of Adamawa state people are christians and are not muslims.

Michika people for instance who are 80% Christians or more used to be under fulani rule of Mubi emirate, but some years ago, they chased away the fulani district head in their LGA and replaced him with an indigenous ruler. Same thing with the Sayawa people of Bauchi state who chased away the fulani ruler in their town and broke out of Bauchi emirate. Till today, no muslim can stay in that town in Bauchi state.

You must understand that the hausa fulanis received education and awarenesss earlier than the other northern minority tribes and were able to connive with the British people who used them to place the northern minorities under their rule. (Even those of them who were never conquered). Many of them have realised this and have broken out of fulani rule e. g Southern Kaduna. Many are still ignorant and powerless.

Stop saying rubbish. Benue is closer to Hausa Fulani land than Delta. The fulanis have a very strong base in neighbouring Nasarawa & Taraba from which they attack Benue.

If you think the comfort in western world is everything in life...then until you get there. Many westerners with their so called advanced society live miserable life. I am not even from the south, but I believe in a united south to lead this country, simply because Yorubas and Igbos have proven to be more progressive than Hausa fulanis who want to keep on ruling this country and leave us backwards.

However I have discovered that the core-north would rather sow division among the yorubas and Igbos to ensure a divided south. Also make no mistakes, the yoruba muslims and some north central (Kogi & Kwara) muslims are being used as agents to ensure this continued division of the south.

The problem now is that the leadership of yoruba land is now in the hands of yoruba muslims, who will always prefer to allign with their fellow hausa fulani muslims than with the rest of the christian south.

This was exactly what Late Gideon Orkar saw and made him to attempt a coup that will cut off Hausa fulani people from Nigeria and merge them with Niger republic. Nigeria would have been far better of without Hausa Fulani people.

One thing some of you don't know is that Benue/Kogi and the entire South is being eyed by the fulanis due to the all year round green grass growing guinea savannah which is the perfect vegetation for the fattening of their cows. Once you cross Nasarawa up north, the climate and vegetation does not favour grass growth.

I am an indigene of the north central and let me tell you, If this action is not reversed instantly and all the fleeing fulani herdsmen from Benue, Taraba with anti grazing laws start settling in Kabba in masses. This may finally be the undoin of Okun people.... because these fulanis will invite their people from Mali, Niger, Chad to settle and graze Okun land en masse, and they may use this as a means to penetrate other parts of yoruba land. Once the fulanis have a base against you, you are in trouble........ Every attack against Benue is launched from fulani strongholds in neighbouring Nasarawa state.
