Anybody that believes in God should believe in science. Science is the tool God uses to continually perfect his creation. Not religion. Not Christianity.

Like all the other works of God, science produces consistent result to a very high probability. Just as u don't need to be a Christian or Muslim to benefit from rain, you don't need to be either or to have any faith to benefit from science. What works for the majority will very likely work for you. Any system that requires having a special faith or visiting a special pastor cannot be of God.

Just like we the creatures of God continually evolve, so does knowledge of science. Forever growing into something more and more practical and beneficial. But relgious knowlede is stagnant, stagnating or even retrogressive. Given the evidence, we know that which is more useful between science and religion.

Though I acknowledge the usefulness of religion in this day and age especially considering the high number of subhumans whose primitive instincts are being suppressed by their devotion to religion (and there is a lot of evidence for these kinds of people among Nairaland Christians), in the long run, science is preferable to religion.

By the way, Funke Adejumo is a hack. The day I started seeing the woman for the clown she is is far back in 2008. She and her husband were still based in Akure then. And one of my friends used to attend her church.
One day my friend came back from church and told me a story the lying woman told them in church. She told them to give freely without grudge because God takes giving seriously. She told them one guy in the church gave grudgingly one Sunday and when he got home after church as he was lying on his bed to sleep the money appeared back on his chest. Apparently that's how God showed him He had rejected the money. The guy came back asking for forgiveness.

The whole congregation including my friend believed the moronic story. No wonder she is brazenly asking for dollars 10 years later.

Your pastor is a cunning man. He has realised that people have started scrutinising fake miracles pastors perform with the so-called power of God and have started noticing there is nothing there. No real power. Only huffing and puffing and fake unverifiable miracles. So he has decided to change tactics.

Wisdom is intangible and there is currently no standard metric by which wisdom, especially spiritual wisdom, can be measured. So he has switched to that. That way he can drop his claim to the elusive power of God and now hold on to equally elusive wisdom of God to lie and deceive more people.

OP I am going to respond to a few of the things u have said.

Nope. No we don't understand this. We only think so. There is no proof for it yet. That's why it is faith.

If this is true, could He also have had other co-eternal beings? I mean it is so convenient to think that only God is eternal.

Nope it doesn't mean that. Even if we agree that God created the universe, that does not mean God has no beginning and ending. For all we care to imagine, God could have been created by another God. God could be another race of celestial beings existing in higher planes and dimensions.

And yes, God could have co-eternal beings. It is just improbable for one being to come out of nowhere and exist of itself. The parameters that allow for such a complex being to exist also means other equally complex beings can also exist within the same space.

So it is more likely there are many Gods than only one God.

There are no spiritual mysteries. Everything created by God can be understood and catalogued given sufficient time. That's the way God wants it. And we must keep increasing in knowledge daily. That is the duty of man. To continually search out the hidden physical mysteries through science and better ourselves and our world by it. Only thieves and rogues talk about spiritual mysteries only they themselves have gleaned from mysterious figures that cannot be shared with the rest of humanity easily

Regardless - the origin of God still remains a mystery! And we have to make Heaven to find that out.

And who says when u get to heaven u will find out the origin of God? How are u sure u ever will? What if u get to heaven and find you are just a manifestation of the God u speak of fumbling for meaning and purpose within the boundaries of eternity?

Every animal that exhibits any form of self consciousness can be said to have a soul in that regards. A sheep that is able to tell itself apart from another sheep also has a soul then.

What I reject completely is the exclusivity of the soul that humans lay claim to. It is either we have no soul and we are just the summation of complex electrical wirings in the brain or all animals have a soul. It cannot be neither.

The robbers, numbering over 40 of them, stormed into the house at the same time via climbing the fence. Na so the dog pick race go hide under motor. The already enraged robbers pulled the dog out and designed its body with machete strikes. The next day the injured animal was a shell of its former self. It didn't make it to the end of the week.

I actually agree with this. I consider such posts to be overly puerile. Then again considering that a certain someone has spent the better part of last week sharing stories about people converting to Christianity, I think this thread is also a good counter to remind everyone that the universe will maintain its balance one way or another.
