abagoro: Someone blocked my post without just cause. Each Igbo group has a unique tradition of origin from the others while some are linked, others are not. So,you avoided to address the part that says "Owerri and Okigwe areas" formed the core of Igboland ? You read that rubbish posted here and your integrity wouldn't let you correct it ? I always know that you have a motive! |

Abagworo: There was no "Igboukwu". It is a recent change of name from Igbo Nkwo. However just like I stated earlier Igbo has always existed as a lingual group. If you have been able to read many past books on Aboh which was the 1st Igbo town to have contacts with the Europeans, they believed they were Igbos by extension but still did not believe in actually being connected to the interior Igbos. It is same with almost every Igbo group. The Ngwa for example have never denied beingI haven't read any book on Aboh's early contact with the whites but one thing I will advice you is to stop from doing is to keep away from trying to distort, bastardize nor revising the Nri history. You are a shameless man! You think you have got the guts to come and re-write the Nri history? Ever since I met you on this forum all you have been doing is trying so laboriously to revise the revered Nri culture and history and maybe find a way to elevate your Isu dreams. You have claimed "Onicha" spoke Isu language,Ogwashiukwu are Isu decendants,Isu is the oldest Igbo dialect,Igboukwu is Isu,Aboh are Isu and most recently, "Igboukwu" was a recent change of name from "Igbonkwo" ! Do you go to bed and wake up with these conjectures Why don't you create a thread and educate us on the Isu culture, like the slave selling! Nonsense! |
This is what happens when you allow hatred to becloud your sense of reasoning; Sorry mudafuka! I know you are a real wet a..sss because you run your mouth so danm much...biitch a..ss nigguh. You think you can beat somebody you have seen before! I had confidence in you, while thinking you are a TRUE BLOOD but you don't worth a shiit. Hommie comes here throwing weak tantrums..A true blood never starts a fight...f..uck off BITTYEND! |

AjanleKoko: @OP,Thanks brother;I am currently going through this with white people. Its been very challenging but I will apply these advice you gave. |
Andre Uweh: In some Western Igbo areas, there are titles reserved for great women. These women title holders break kola nut, wear red hats and sits with Obis in their cabinet. It is very common in Ubulu Ukwu and Iselu Ukwu areas. We have "Igba odu/Ichi Iyom" for women folks in Omanbala but they don't wear the REVERED Nze na Ozo hat for men folks, rather they wore the ivory on their legs, forearms, necks, wrist with the famous "akwaocha". Even, you can't do that in Onicha Ado. Anyway, omenani ndi dili fa. |
These are all the pictures I can find online about the event, if anyone has more. Please do not hesitate to post it. Nri-priest, I hope this proves to you that Asaba people do not hate their Igbo origin and are proud to be Igbo. Asaba people hating Igbo is nothing but a fallacy created on NL in an effort to cause disunity. If I recall my memory, you and someone else said something in line of that last month and that has been nibbling at me for a while now. You should never believe it. I do apologize by the way, if you think I'm putting you on blast.
Nwanne, haba! I never said so;I was just paraphrasing the words of Stella Damascus and if I can remember vividly I never said Ahaba rejected their Igboness.Moreso,I know the history of Ahaba and the areas they originated from in Omanbala. But wait a minute..Do Ahaba women wear the red hat Alu emeee..lol |
Ru...ru..ru...rude boys. |
ChinenyeN: Pazienza, I'm not sure what role our aside has to play in this thread, but nonetheless I will answer. The Ngwa do not trace origin beyond the present locality.Seriously? You are smarter than this, dude. What's the population of Ngwa and how long have they existed? Aren't they suppose to have migrated from Mbaise area? Why do most old men from Ngwa think so? I see why Obiagu calls you "100yrs old man"! This is just like me saying "Umuoji originated from their current location with our current population in mind. |
ChinenyeN: After reading Odumchi and Mbatuku's posts, I believe we may need to take a step back and agree on how we're using the terms [un]related. For me, it's face value. I can, for instance, say that Ngwa and Nike are really unrelated. Ngwa doesn't recognize Nike and vice versa. There is no relationship between Ngwa and communities in Anambra. I could go on, but I'm sure you all get my point. That is my understanding and use of the terms [un]related."Unrelated" is your keyword but Ngwa has the concept of "ala/ani","days of the week","chi","offor/ovo" and so fort. Your brother Mbatuku said Igbo is a "figment of whitemans imagination". And I want to know why they were places like "Igboukwu","Igbuzor","Aro Okigbo" and names like Igbokwe,Njibaigbo,Okadigbo,Okigbo before the arrival of whitemen. Each and everytime an Igbo discussions comes up you instantly muscle your mind toward finding the difference between Ngwa and other Igbo groups instead of examining how they are related. Or,is Ngwa not Igbo? |
I pray the north discovers oil in large quantity and maybe, just maybe they will leave the south alone and manage their resources to their satisfaction. These same ppl has ruled this country for 36yrs with nothing to show for it. Their elites are bunch of selfish and the most foolish set of leaders. The ppl I pity are the masses who are very ignorant of their leaders motives. They have been enslaved with islam and made to think knowing the quaran is all they need and that it will solve all their problems. Thanks to the arabs. I pray that God sends a leader that will flush all these foreign religions(christanity and islam) out and bring back our traditional religions with some reforms. |
I have had enough;Nonsense! Try materialistic! |
So,what your point,exactly?? |
