Meyan: Not a problem, just having a discussion about fashion. And like I said, I see these modern designs across Nigeria and West Africa. So I don’t see how it is peculiar to one tribe or nation for that matter.
Please dear, stop wasting your time on Ileke! Just peruse through her post history and come back....She is a disgusting yoruba tribalist who hates the Igbo with all her might....she claims yoruba invented the EARTH!
CultureRe: Modern Traditional Attire Of Nigeria by NRIPRIEST(m): 11:17am On Sep 30, 2012
exotik: @ Ileke-IdI

who said yorubas started the headtie? just because the popular word for headtie in Nigeria is “Gele” does not mean the yoruba started it.
yorubas should stop claiming ish. just like they wanted to make us believe that they started the "Agbada" whereas they stole that ish from the hausas and fulanis. yorubas didnt start the headtie, finito. other tribes have their names for headtie.
Is it only "gele" that you see. Look at all the contemporary African attires she is claiming yoruba invented. Silly nuthead!
Why did Obi not complain about the deportation of gainfully employed Anambras from Abia but will shamefully not only protest deportation of jobless hooligans but also write petition to Gej demanding intervention?

Whose interest should a governor push....lawfull citizens denied livelihoods or lawless criminals denied opportunities?

Obi need to get his prioprities right and act like a governor, not like a local govt chairman. ....he needs to grow up!
Abia never deported anybody. Non indigens were relieved of there posts with the state government. There is a difference!

PointB: In which way did he hate on Obi? I don't understand why some of you make a mountain out of mole hill. Obi has done well for Anambra, so has Sullivan for Enugu, and Rochas, even though relatively new on the job, is doing quite well. Let's learn to keep some of our pettiness at home.

The focus here is Abia state, a Chime or Rochas in Abia, is a thousand time better than the current situation, I believe that's what Afam implied. Let's not derail the thread!
I dont mean to deviate from the topic but this shiit brain afam has being attacking Peter Obi eventhough he is the most achieving governor in the se. He is a bigot! Believe me when i said this....My convictions are usually correct.

Who is insecure ? My friend,go sit your punk ass down, jare! You are talking about Abia in reference to other Igbo states. You can try to conceal your hatred toward some specific Igbo but I can see right through you,BIGOT!

Whenever something good is being discussed about igbo states, you will be the first to pass your hatred.you are always spear heading problems when issues about ndi igbo is discussed.the other time you started a rift between imo and anambra.you don carry your wahala come here! @Afam don't let this dude spoil your thread! This is a very important topic where matured minds are to comment. Daalu nu!

afam4eva: We all know the calamity that has befallen Abia state since this republic and it even got worse since Theodoore Orji assumed the governorship seat in Abia state. many of us hoped that after his first term Ndi-Abia will realize their mistakes and vote for someone else but unfortunately for progressives in Igboland and Nigeria, that was not to be as this man was returned unopposed and is on a mission to return Abia state to the stone age. I noticed that one reason why orji was returned is because there was no popular candidate that contested for that seat and the gubernatorial race just looked like a one way street with no fierce opposition whatsoever. Anyways, we have no choice but to wait for him to finish his tenure. But why we do so, we should suggest names that we think will be useful in 2015. Who do we want to be the contenders come 2015. We have to do this in order to save Abia from it's current situation. We need at least a leader in mould of Chime or Okorocha in Abia. never again will Abia be taken for granted. Ndi Abia and Ndi Igbo stand up and be counted as the catalyst that will forge a positive front for Abia state.
Afam, what is wrong with? Did you just calll Rochas and Sullivan "vissionary leaders" ? Well, you are dead wrong ! Abia state need a "Peter Obi" who will bring a holistic approach in developiing Abia state. Abia doesnt need a governor that just want to plant flowers, build mall and just keeps it focue on the main city. How many industries have Rochas and Sullivan brought to Imo and Enugu, respectivelly, since they become governors ? How many jobs have they created? How many skills acquisition program have they openned ? How deep did they go in openning inner state towns in their states. Look,Chime and Rochas are like amature where Peter Obi is standing and they will never come close the his intimidating achievements in Anambra. Stop hating on Obi.

Does any sane person go to war without seeking outside support and alliances? But your flat headed Igbo ppl think war is like the primitive wrestling you fight in Alayibo

Ask Benjamin Adekunle what he turned your ppl into. Better thank Obasanjo for saving you from Adekunles wrath
We stood our ground and fought nigeria and the western world put together for a brutal 30months without food....mudafucka I am proud that my ppl didn't chicken out. We stood our ground and fought nigeria and their western allies for a bloody 30months! Benin conquered lagos, named it Eko and colonized you.Fulani defeated the ilorin empire and islamized you. MiracleChild: This Is very interesting.

I support Gov Fashola in everything he does. I come from a state where i cant even go spend a weekend anymore because kidnapping, killings and daytime robbery are the order of the day.where there are no infrastructural developments ,where the government is so corrupt and their major aim in office is to fill their bank accounts and that of their families. bearing in mind that we are one of the riches states in Nigeria.I have settled in Lagos and i am happy to be here.i live like i live abroad and everything works.

The people of Lagos have taken great steps to put their house in order. The people defended their votes and ensured proper leader are elected. the government worked for the people. and Lagos has been a good host. Any Guest that choose to reward by his host behaving badly should be "returned" cos its just not right.Instead of complaining other states should put their house in order so their people should be happy to live there. if not anything you see you should take it.cos nobody will stand by and see their hard work being destroyed by others and i don't expect Lagosians to condone rubbish.
Look at what this dumb head wrote. No wonder your husband is beating you like a drum. Weak biitch !

They need to thank fashola that let Igbo become commissioner in lagos and all ungrateful people still using that dirty mouth to talk trash . Can any igbo state allow yoruba to take any public office in Igbo land ?
You obviously havent travel out of your little cave before; A yoruba man held a public office long before Fashola appointed Nwabueze...ofenmanu mumu.

Or tell them that I opened a thread on NL and asked the question and was told that I am a Lagosian since I was
a) born in Lagos
or b)migrated to Lagos when I was a child
or c) I own many 46.6% of Lagos

PoliticsRe: Who Is A Lagosian? by NRIPRIEST(m): 2:27pm On Sep 26, 2012
safarigirl: 90% of those in Lagos are NOT of Lagos ancestry. All you other south westerners who feel that you're Lagosians need to visit the nearest Babalawo. If na to speak Yoruba, i know thousands of Igbos that chew the language. True Lagosians tend to bear English last names, and most of Yorubaland do not acknowledge them as true Yorubas. Now the same set of deprived m0fos want to claim it as Yorubaland, when they contributed nothing but touts, paedophiles and rap!sts to the city. Only the whites, and indigenes of Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, and other tribes, mostly Igbos, Efiks and Ibibios made Lagos. After those states, the rest of Yoruba land can sink for all I care, starting with Ibadan, the disgrace of Yoruba land.
Ole girl, you dey vexooo! Beautiful face though.

Everyday we blame the accidents that happen on our road on the government for their inability to fix our bad roads, I wonder whose faults it is that the drivers to whom we put our safety in their hands are all doped up while drivinig a public transportation vehicle. We have a long way to go in this country. Most of these drivers dont even know their responsibility as a public transport driver. Anyway,we have to make example of these block heads.

Yes,we all know Chino and his debasing posts towards other Igbo but does that justify Olodosteins insultive post toward Anambra? Now,what make Olodostein different from Chino ? Not much. I have dealt with lots of Imo folks who showed me both hate and jealousy but thats not enough for me to come here and start attacking Imolites. If we say we are civilised lets behave like we are.

Seriouslly,I dont know what to say.... Okija made a very faint joke and they capitalized on it to attack Anambra, hence provoking Chino. Ike gwulu sef. I think some of these guys has always wanted to attack Anambra and that Okijas comment solidified their quest.
But, to be honest,I will brutally attack any soul that there speak ill of Anambra!

Olodostein: As the other posted stated.... Imolites are not noted for hideous crimes. Of course, crimes are everywhere, but meet any other tribe and ask the set of Igbo's they like to do things with and come back and tell me the answer...

A contented man is a rich man. I don't need to sell my soul for money to prove my masculinity.

Rochas is too soft for my liking..... If i were him, I would deal thoroughly with anyone trying to sabotage my government including forces from Anambra folks. I know your ppl inside out but I choose to keep quiet because an attack to Imo is an attack on the Igbo. Asokata eze anya ekpulu nkata n'isi gwia okwu. Welu ile gi guo eze gi onu. Onye oku na agba bie adiro achu oke.

21century minds are talking of sustainable development.... You are exalting dumped and old technology that was pushing mother nature and mankind to extinction. Be careful of that or you won't be able to drink the water from your tap, breath the air in your environs or eat the food from your polluted soil because of an unhealthy love of money...

Imolites are educated, futuristic and environmentally sensitive....... We don't sell our souls for money because we got conscience..... Any imolite who does that, learnt it from our neighbour AAAAAA.
