shymexx: Making Lagos a separate region means: making the place free for all!! That's unacceptable!!Lagos was developed and built on the hardworking bones of all Nigerians...Eventualy,y'all will lose the grip on Lagos, its getting there. |
shymexx: Why can't you name names, Odenigbo Aroli - scared much??You wish,cuz....It wont make any difference anyway...If you ever come around Houston/Humble please holla...You like talking lotta sh..it over the net. I can see the punkness through you..jackass! |
Lasinoh: At least, you have seen a crack-head. I have not. Prolly partially-aborted by one or more with cross-copulation IKEMBA STYLEEEE. . . .You are a disgrace to the whole member of your family...Time is money. |
zentarr: Why Igbo's may not make it in Nigeria 2015 presidential race. Thoughts of a young igbo man.I dont know wether you are really Igbo but you got so many things wrong in that your amateurish article; Y ou have done nothing but to come here to paint Ndigbo as weak and vulnerable. Yes, we fought the Biafran war and we are very proud of our efforts. I cant help you if you feel besieged but Ndigbo are not in any bondage. Personally, I dont feel we should be jostling too hard for the post of a President because we have more pressing issues to deal with. Ndigbo has wealth that are scatered everywhere in Nigeria but are they safe. I have always tell Ndigbo that they have the economy of Nigerian in their palms but all they need to do is squeeze. We can actually control the policies of this goverment whithout being in goverment. |
Lasinoh: You have resurrected this your DEMI-ILLITERATE HANDLE kwo?Seriously, are you a female ?? You sounded like a crackhead in the street of Cleveland...Tufia!!! Worthless bum!! |
Why is it that Nigerians are so quick to call people illiterate ?? It makes me so sick....I have lived in the states for close to a decade but never heard Americans call people "illiterate". Nigerians are very very ignorant and annoying and Americans know this. I have always had to defend my self as a result of the bad image Nigerians has given us here! Always dressed f..ucked up and looking crazy...Buncha pathetic weirdos! |
Lord Naya: @CHINO IS HIGHTIME YOU LEFT THIS THREAD, ABA AND ONITSHA ARE PART THE BIG CITIES IN AFRICA.FACT. ALSO, I PUT IT TO YOU THAT YOU HAVENT BEEN TO ABA BEFORE OR LIKE ODE AROLI, YOU ARE SHAMELESSLY BLINDED BY YOUR HATRED ELSE YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THERE ARE MANY MEDIUM AND LARGE SCALE INDUSTRIES IN ABA NOT TO TALK OF SMALL SCALE THAT BIAFRA REP DIDNT MENTION. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, THEN GO ON EXILE.I am trying very hard to respect everybody here...keep my name out of your mouth or we will have a bad day here. And what do you know about Onicha...One thing is very common with those of you block heads who are attacking me (Odenigbo Aroli) and Chino. You all never had anything good to say aboiut Anambra even if its good. You all even defend other states and castigate Omanbala even when the real Omanbalas like me and Chino isnt speaking. I can care less but before you write again keep the Odenigbo Nri out of your mouth! |
dominique: Yorubas Hausas Binsi Urogbos weren't taught about greeting abi? Must everything turn into a tribal war?mind you,I never mentioned Hausa,Bini nor Uhrobo...I have live with Hausa,Igbo,Uhrobo,Yoruba and Bini and I know what Iam talking about. |
The Igbo has never been more united than they currently are, thanks to the leadership of Peter Obi who has awaken the spirit of unity through the southeast governors forum which he chairs. Now,our politicians mostly speak with one voice. I know we have a long way to go but we will get there. I like when people underate us. |
INNO18: How do you mean sir?How do i mean? ?? Let me be very clear with you...I dont consider a gay to be mentally complete?? Please go cure yourself!! You are disgracing your folks here!! Stop already because you will never be accepted...better move to san fransisco where you can find your type! |
ochallo: DAYS OF THE WEEK IN YORUBA ( Àwọn Ojọ́ Ilẹ̀ Yorùbá):My friend doesnt you have precolonial days of the week? Stop translating whitemans days of week for the audience. Tell us what was ur days of week before the arrivall of whiteman who introduced monday to sunday. |
Demdem: Good to see healthy competition between the states. As regards flagship schools.Have you ever been happy in your life? Why do you always sound very bitter? Nwanne, you need to slow down. |
This is fantastic; They also need to train the teachers to meet international standard. Most Nigeria teachers arent vibrant. |
van bonattel: Nwanne tell them! What more can I say? You have no integrity and honesty! You initially claimed to be from Anambra but its impossible for you to hide from yourself....it didnt take time for everybody to figure you are indeed from Enugu. You should bury your face in shame.....I have nothing else to tell you but you can keep lieing to yourself. |
centje: my friend get off this post are you sick something...where in the post did the proud igbo mention anambra. Leave people to their views and stop derailing this thread. Please just leave this thread. You must think we are bunch of fools who cant read between the lines. Why the need for him to compare?? You lots must leave Obi alone when you applaud your governor. Do that and watch if I care about Chime and what is happening in Enugu "city". |
Nightshift: What Berlin and Paris are to Germans and the French, so is Enugu to Ndigbo. Nobody is this age can change such a historical narrative. Also, more importantly, it will continue to be a powerhouse where political chess is played. Enugu shall continue to host conferences that impact and shapes the future of Ndigbo. She is an old lady with magnificent hilltops, always smiling with open arms welcoming its children from near and beyond. Enugu bu nnukwu ijele ndigbo; Enugu akwulugo!!Haha....Ijele ko Ijele ni! I dont think you know the mysterious meaning of an Ijele which was invented by the ancient Omanbala through "akwunechenyi" ! Ana azo nwata ndu osi na onwu kia nma! |
Anuofia. I thought for a second there you were threatening fire and brimstone against Enugu and her people, why then do you wanna chicken out so quickly? I reiterate, you are a big fool with no substance. Just enough empty boasts and chest beating to go around. How exactly you want to drive your points home without being able to spell baffles me. I engage only smart peeps worthy of my attention not !diots like you. Now run along retard and come back when you can live up to your threats. And keep Enugu State out of your mouth while at it. Ekwensu kpo kwa gi oku there.
Somethings are left unsaid.....But dont forget i am from Anambra and that alone should send fear down your spine. I dont wanna insult the whole Enugu but just wanted to correct a false impression. What will i achieve by engaging you in e-fight? Dude,go do something meaningful with your life. And if you wanna continue this we should start with the list of projects Chime's government has brought to Enugu and compare them with what Obi has brought to Anambra. Again,Enugu is not the pride of the east and can never be! A state with zero human resources....nonsense! |
I dont know what i have anymore but its does sound African; I was born in Jos,lived in Benin,Lagos and a bit in Anambra and I have lived outside the country for the past eight yrs but foriegn girls say they can listen to me talk all day. I guess it must sound good to them. Even my co-workers say my accent is soo cool some say i sound like Djimon Honsou. One chic said she loves the way i say "oh my God" But I know i sound African. One guy say i sound like Arnold shwazznega.,..imagine! |
ACM10: No need to switch id to make a point. I can see that you are Nri-priest. What do you mean by "simple Omambala dialect"? Why is it difficult for you guys to appreciate the fact that Enugu is the most developed and livable city in the east and therefore "pride of the east"? I appreciate goodworks whenever I sees one. I will be so happy if any other eastern city displaces Enugu from that position. But, it can't be on the threads of nairaland.Every ardent Igbo poster here knows Odenigbo is Nri Priest. I even made it known when i first created the user name. Again, who made Enugu the pride of the east? Who did you arrive at that conclusion? |
^^^Just a few questions: if Enugu is the most beautiful city in the east as you've alluded to......and if we can rightly say a city being 'a thing of pride' can be attributed to anything from aesthetic beauty to industrial superiority to commercial pre-eminence......if we can say all this, how come you feel the title of the thread is misplaced?; you've indirectly contradicted yourself in your last post. Any other city -like Onitsha for instance- could be given the tag 'pride of the east' when the issues of commerce and industry are being discussed, not so?
"and if we can rightly say"; who is "we"? Is beaty equivalent to pride? All of you hypocrites joined hands to condenm Chino whenever he was boasting about Omanbala but you dont see any wrong in the in the title of this thread. This is like somebody stepping into my doorstep while i m having a conversation with my father only to tell me he met some guy on the road whom he believe is my father. Enugu city can be the pride of Enugu state for all i care but definitely not the eastern Nigeria Omanbala is part of! |
PointB: Again I agree with you spyder. Today we have seen the beauty of Enugu and agreed enthusiastically that it is indeed the Pride of the East. This does not in anyway diminish the value of any other SE State. A well structure exposition of any Igbo centric zone can assume any beautiful title they want for their showcase, and get similar response. In the end Igboland is Igboland, and we are one and the same.Bros,I dont really care whether you like it or not but you better steer clear and dont say a word when Chino attacks. You dont speak for anybody here,so stop acting like you are some authority here. How would you like a thread with a title that reads " ANAMBRA THE SUPERIOR IGBO" ![]() |
INNO18: Hmmmn. There's a thread i saw on Enugu, i think the thread is a year or two old, where you criticised sullivan and posted pics of slums in Enugu. Now the same you is praising him? Anyway it's good to know sullivan is working unlike that OTONDO called peter obi.You are a senile bastard if you call Peter Obi an "Otondo"! No governor in the whole Nigeria can stand close to what Peter Obi has achieved in Omanbala! I will urge you to remember that Enugu metropolis was the head quarter of the eastern province during the colonials years, the capital of eastern Nigeria after the independence and the capital of the old Anambra state after the twelve states were created. This already cemented foundation carried Enugu to what little input Chime has added to make it what it is today. Dont forget that Nnamani also did great during his tenure. Now,come to Anambra a state that was created in '91; Onicha was a mere commercial city without a concrete government presence nor planning,Awka was an ancient metal working village and Nnewi was a village built by uneducated traders. Anambra had no true government presence nor planning until Peter Obi got elected. Do you think you can build a state overnight? Peter Obi brought the oil company, innoson motors, sabmiller, the rice mill, best network of roads with bridges scattered all over the state to bring developments and jobs accross the state, restructure in the education sector and so much groundbreaking developments that any governor can only envy. He is not in the business beautifying cities because Anambra has more pressing issues to handle. It will take a minute for us to get where we wish to be but Obi is laying the neccesary foundation for that. Do your research before you start insulting a honest and a forthright man. |
spyder880: Brother Odenigbo, we are one and the same people and any good news about any Igbo state/city will gladden my heart anyday. I have urged my Anambra brothers to open threads to promote our sister state. I have also opened threads to promote Onitsha and Owerri, but as you know, I live in Enugu and only business takes me to other eastern states.I know we are one but I think you are trying to be sleek with the title of this thread; This isnt about openning threads and posting pictures. Or are you asking me to compare the two states? I have problem with the title of this thread. Its not neccesary and is misleading, too. If you think i am wrong, you will have to tell me in details how and when Enugu became the pride of the east. Onye kpatalu nku ahuhu sili ngwele bialia olu! |
afam4eva: You think it should be changed because it's not Anambra okwa ya? Are not all Igbos? Why are you always jealous. Tufiakwa gi.Look,I am not the jealous type and every Igbo here knows I am pro-Igboist but I dont understand the ground on which Enugu become the pride of the east. If you lots dont think something is wrong with the title of this thread then you all better not say a thing when Chino starts bragging about Anambra nor compare her with other state. And by the way, what makes Enugu the pride of the east? Arent you the same chap who thinks Chime and Rochas are better governors than Obi? What a surprise! |
seanet01: You are the ignoramus mr. Man.You have no atom of honesty in you and the worst part is that you arent ashamed of it. Why cant he just advice residents and visitors to obey the traffic laws? SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA! !!! Lmao....chei. |
lekkie073: what tires me with dis ibos is the constant remarks dat they own lagos. ibos are a complete nuisance in lagos. u rent a room to an ibo, he brings in 4 of his so_called village brodas. what does all of them do for a living? the original occupant go dey hustle for ladipo while the 4 squaters all engage in traffic hawking. shameless pplSay something smart, please. Its not a must to comment. |
I understand the governor's primary point but his condescending approach leaves little to be desired. I detest that he has resorted to denigrating the village so as to emphasize his point. He should simply have told any prospective traffic offenders that they would be heavily penalized.
As if traffic offenders are visitors only....The man is uncivilized...Peter Obi will never talk like this. Mr fashola doesnt even know that some villagers are more civilized than some Nigerians in the city. Very ignorant man. |
So Chinenye, arw you saying that Isu is older than Nri just because Orlu claims authochthony? ? I guess they spranged up from the earth! I know what. The first man on earth dropped in Orlu yet there is no evidence of ancient landmark nor ancient culture. And you need to stop trying to link Igboukwu to Isu! They have very different traditions. You can go ahead and keep basing your judgement on hear-say. |
I have read some of the articles written by these shameless man; I should say this man has the most inferiority complex i have ever come accross. And did i hear somebody say he is a historian?? What a shame and disgrace to the college of history he went to. A historian who believe Anioma is an ethnic group! Smh. |
I have Mbaise friends in the states and they are very good people but before i met them i have heard some very degradeful stories about these well educated people. We were adviced not to marry from there nor Owerri and even the Orlu folks share the same sentiments. For me,i like to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong. I dont kniw any bad person from there but i know they are probably the most educated town in Nigeria! |
But this house doesnt cost a fortune...Any rich Nigerian could build that house. |
Kei144: The relatedness among Igbos is very complex. One thing that has become clear is that most (or probably all) Igbos migrated to where they are now from somewhere. Some Igbo groups reached present day Igboland at different times. It wasn't a case of one ancestor or group of ancestors coming to Igboland and then procreating. For example, Nsukka people know very clearly that they came from Igalla. Abakiliki people know very clearly that they are more related with people in Kogi and Benue States than with Igbos. Onitsha and Delta Igbos believe that they came from the Benin Kingdom and Igalla. What has been posted here about Ngwa people could also be true.Nop; All the Igbo groups decended from Eri/Nri but as ppl grow larger and expand they lose some of their original culture, language and some of their neucleus identity. These same ppl recreate, populate and expand from where they settled. They will pick new cultures, create new ones and maybe adopt an identity not original to their starting point. These is the reason why you have Ngwa,Ikwerre,Ika and co. Nri is the oldest Kingdom in the Southern Nigeria and lots of ethnic groups borrowed cultural practices from her.No group in the Southern Nigeria can claim precivilization over Nri. Nri is the only kingdom that never adopted anybody culture but different groups practiced her culture and adopted her inventions. I honestly believe all the Kings in Igboland should pay homage to Eze Nri! |
