I think the tragedy in this is that the security forces no longer even bother to consider the effect of such a recorded display on the pysche of the people and nation. I have had the misfortune to be present when some robbers (caught during a gunfight with the police) were executed. First they were shot for sport (in knees, ankles, shoulders etc), left for a couple of hours groaning and screaming in pain then gathered together and automatic fire sent them across the divide. I was visiting the head of SARS (a university coursemate) and when he said coldly "waste them", I knew what it meant but didn't expect something so cold and merciless.

Jos, Boko Haram etc, are a tragedy but this video and others like it just worsens issues. Next time, the rioters would know what to expect if caught and would also, show no mercy or sense of restraint. It is the same that makes robbers go after policemen and kill them simply because they expect the same mercilessness.

They go through hell; navy trainees are held under water for upwards of 90 seconds, parachute trainees jump over and over out of planes under controlled conditions (because of when it won't be controlled), soldiers struggle through multiple "obstacle courses" . When they fail, they go through not only a repeat but also punishment which is meant to be a pointer to what you will face if you made that failure on the battlefield. Would you then say its because the US military hates and wants to kill its trainees or because thats how you help people (and strengthen them) to keep their lives when the enemy is shooting live rounds?

I say thats what training, discipline and the pain of upbringing is all about - protecting you, teaching you values and helping you find the inner strength that makes you a man, not a snivelling nose-picking immature idiot who believes adulthood is about displaying a mannerless irritating belligerence all over NL. Those who brought up "bingo" left it to its own devices and DeepSight has succintly shown what we think of what you turned out as.

I personally do not subscribe to corporeal punishment for children but believe they ought not be cuddled till they become another copy of our pal. I train my children using a "reward for good" and "denial for punishment" based system. But I know my father did the best he understood and sincerely believed was right for me and I turned out prosperous, truly educated, mature and balanced though I rebelled "big time" then.

However, two things also come to mind - [1] JTB denied he was Elijah and [2] Elijah appeared at the transfiguration! Does re-incarnation support Elijah being JTB and still being a separate entity at the same time? Are we now to expect JTB to come back and redress that "sin" of lying by stating he truly is Elijah?

Would you say that having 3 First class graduands from a University in its history means everyone actually gets 1st class degrees but don't just know it? But you say those miracles were actually not miracle but normal.

Now, life started with one man and one woman or is this not what the grail message teaches? Each of them re-incarnating would mean only two people being on earth till date and those would neccesarily come only after the first two were gone since multiple simultaneous instances of the same person is not a premise in re-incarnation. How come the human race is increasing population-wise. Would you then say Creation by the Creator is an on-going process and that the Bible lies when it says all creation stopped after man was created? So when does it stop or do we face an infinity of creation and re-incarnation? There are 6 Billion of earth now but in the last 6, 000 years, much more than 6 Billion have come and gone? What happened to the excess? If you believe re-incarnation is real, you must have some solid information on how it works so please tell me - Caligula the emperor - when did/does he come back and as what?  Using what criteria? Or a baby that died at birth? Or a Muslim in the 18th Century who was illiterate? Or an Atheist? And then my father who is late? What criteria is used to decide when he will come and as what? It would be nice we get an idea of the workings of these things from those of you who are sure of it all because sincerely, it all doesn't make sense to me and I do know claims are cheap. I need you to show some proof rather than make claims.

I obviously wasn't referring to child abuse parentage. Do you get the idea from my posts that I was abused? Religion-wise, my father woke up sundays and we drove around. We entered whatever church caught our fancy and I remember a white garment church where they took brooms to us cos we walked in with our shoes. One person says God is impartial and thus CANNOT bring some back to life therefore it is wrong that men die once!

All this based on your own definition of impartiality, your attempt to put God into a box (where He cannot do some things you decide) and all because Jesus raised someone back to life! Could you please then discuss Elijah and Enoch? And let us know your own TRUE knowledge of what actually happened to them since they did not die according to the Bible and that would again make God 'partial"?

Those who call themselves Christians here should remember to "Be slow to speak" and that "Pride goeth before a fall". Why not read the entire thread before you jump head first? And if you ran to speak/write, and now find your knee slowing entering your mouth, be a Christian and apologise or just keep quiet. This is pride showing. All of you jumped in to defend Jehovah from Maven without realising our lawyer was simply playing mind games. And since when did Jehovah start requiring help from you anyway?

I notice something DeepSight - You seem to search for "seemingly" high profile believers on NL (or maybe its just the ones who write good english), open a thread with a flamboyant title and then throw everything including lies and misquotes in an attempt to embarrass and belittle. Once your supposed (in your mind) "opponent" shows that he/she seems to know what they're saying, you take off, re-arm then attack another.

Yet you say you've spent years searching for truth and its not all just a game. Then STOP using court-room antics IF TRULY YOU WANT TRUTH. Consider (truly) the evidence rather than trying to create it. Stick to one definition or issue before saying "Haha, I found another, oya face this!" Thats why you avoid straight forward information and prefer to deduce and intepret.
