Kobojunkie: This man needs to do some shutting up and cleaning up of his image first. Na so so El Rufai this and El Rufai that we dey read month after month. He was part of the same leading party at one time, and PDP was no good even then. So the last many want to hear is him preaching to them now of what they have always known of PDP.Yes, he was! But you used past tense! For some reason, he left of his own violition and we all know the easier path would have been to stay and be getting cash, contracts and goodwill! The greatest testimony a man can give is "the things I did, I do no more"! So yes, he was part (?) of the problem before but at least he has "repented"! Would you rather he goes back to PDP, gets a parastatal and starts sodomizing Nigeria again? Opposition is part of governance and at least, all he said above makes sense! |
@Beaf: Senate was consulted but they are only being told (officially) now? ![]() You just keep on & on in error, sinking deeper in mire yet believing you pass muster! |
@poj: Sun-Tzu, Tolstoy, Machiavelli and human history etc made me interested in psychology - fascinating field and one that Beaf would be well served to consider! The greatest empires built on wisdom, power and even divine "arrangement" ALL fell! So it puzzles me when such as Beaf feel its all about today alone! I remember how Buhari was dreaded whist he ruled - same man now is the one that the sons of those who trembled before him, now insult randomly! The next few years will teach a lot of us wisdom because we have refused to learn from those that came before us! Babylon, Greece, the Persians, Rome, the Roman Church, Buhari etc! I read, learnt and remember! It is only in that sense that I am a psychologist! |
Beaf: MAULAGIn psychology classes, this would be called a "defense mechanism" - DENIAL! For if it is MAULAG, why is he prostrate before the senate now to save his face? You and him both suffer from Delusions of Grandeur. As Yorubas would say "omo oju ori Ola ri" |
@Beaf: As at today, and without parliamentary backing, is it UNILAG or MAULAG? That is the question! The answer to that may teach you to be a bit less strident in your assertions and understand that not always is the president right! Because I keep wondering - what happens to him (and you) if the Senate says no? Egg in face, ehn? |
By going to the Senate for permission, GEJ has admitted he didn't hav e the right to change the name! In effect, his action transcended his powers as visitor! It also admits that, regardless of the noise we have heard here about him (as govt) owning the university, he doesn't own it! It says a lot about his state of mind when decisions are taken without due consideration for legality (except in arrears as in this case) and the rule of law! Finally, I have ONE question - what if the senate refuses him this? I wonder what his army of paid NL supporters would then say |
I honestly do NOT believe this tragedy was due to Mrs Jonathan in anyway! If the airspace was indeed closed (which I doubt it would be to an aircraft in distress), that would definitely NOT be her fault but that of over-zealous security agents! I think GEJ and Madam GEJ have something to learn from this - circumspection! All the excessive noise, sirens, lack of respect for others. Etc have to be re-considered! If she was not in lagos, nobody would be able to infer they are at fault! Here is wisdom - protect urself by doing right |
That was "Richie Boi's" thread titled "we lost a sister etc". Very sad thread! Will search for it now but there should be a better source for when the plane left Abujat |
^^ Impeachment is somewhat extreme! But it is true that eye-witnesses say the plane kept circling and that foreign media were first to report the story even though it happened in the lap of Lagos! |
Could you please help confirm this vehicle wasn't a rebuilt lemon? Thanks 1hgcm56706a072100 Nlbomb@gmail.com |
It remains a suspicion (albeit not unlikely) that there exists a faction of "boko haram" being sponsored by government! But even if we can deny that on basis of zero proof aside supposition, we need to ask - how come salaries are not being paid? Even the military had not been paid now and some civil servants are owed 2 months + salaries! What is government doing with money? And why is every corruption case being swept under the carpet? |
Hi, Pls where are you in Lagos & how bad was it? Any idea what's happening in other parts of Lagos? About getting on the expressway to come to Lagos |
Boko Haram, according to the NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, is PDP Sylva, A PDP governor, said he would mobilise boko haram to Bayelsa State The only person being tried for sponsoring terrorism is a serving PDP senator Those who promised Nigeria "hell" if they lost out in the run-up to the elections are ALL PDP! Vice President Sambo has also being linked to PDP Monsignor Presido himself has openly said he is eating with & surrounded by boko haram sponsors! ![]() Yet ethnicity, religion, sentiments against the north and inordinately high level of idiocy & myopia has many people here blaming the exact opposite of PDP for boko haram! I pray you all reap the fruits of this from PDP! |
What tribalism will cause in this country will be past reason! So, now that the Igbos, Yorubas & allegedly the Hausas, have supported GEJ against the northern oligarchy, the thanks they get is being told that it is only ijaws that could do it? I think the statement serves those who supported GEJ right though - make una dey follow am while his boys call you buffons to your faces! |
Are you serious that a Zoologist stated there are "different human species"? |
And what were the anti-pro-subsidy protests? Paid thugs and hungry people selling their futures for a bowl of broth, wasn't it? Did you notice that those who were pro-removal are regretting and screaming under the weight of the backlash of inflation, amplified poverty etc? And what corruption has been cancelled by a government that has finally institutionalized corruption to the point that even the USA has stated officially that its all noise and no substance? In a world where diplomacy is normalcy, the USA going so far should tell you your "hero" is seen as a farcical character, bereft of good intentions or capability to have such |
JomoGbomo2: At least over 24hrs after the clown's pronouncement, the senate still calls it UNILAG. Foolish Beaf.At times I just wonder whether the president advertised for and employed his greatest enemies as advisers! What you have pointed out is the crux of the matter - UNILAG is a "brand" which may mean nothing to GEJ & co but which all alumni see almost as their Glory! You can't take that away from them and expect their happiness! Anyone wants to bet this decision has lost GEJ even more respect, votes etc? As so many have said, if indeed this was not a move at cheap populism which has backfired, a "national hero" should have gotten a "national" honour - Eagle Square, National Stadium Abuja etc or best of all, as a symbol of popular choice in Nigeria, "MKO Villa"to honour the man who deserved it but lost it! |
No point responding to Beaf here - Delafruita has done a beautiful job! All I want to add is that there exists a limit to falsity and misrepresentation and Beaf, you went past that line long ago! For some asinine reason, you believe that some people here "hate" President Jonathan! You are wrong because it is his actions that many are irritated by or despise! What we say is be pro-Nigerians, feel emphathy for those you "claim" voted you in and insist on probity! Then, he will no longer need you or Abati to make excuses for him as his works would shine out for themselves!as it is, the excuses worsen his position |
Sorry to sound critical of GEJ but he should make some people an example - that's the only way peole will be afraid to do these things! sitting and pontificating that he's a victim of the past just keeps worsening his image - he is the only person who can give bite to EFCC! I hold no bried for Salami but this is when such uncompromised judges are needed who would send such perverts to 300 years under the ground at kirikiri! But when such are kicked out because they are honest, justice is perverted and then we all start to shout and cry |
Beaf: I do not recall Obj making a strong impression until his second term. GEJ is already worrying enough status quo people.Strange that you feel because other people were nitwits, you too should be one - for that is what you just said! OBJ failed so GEJ is fine as a failure! Plus your second sentence amazes me - what "status quo" people is GEJ "worrying"? Is it the "cabal" that stole 2.7Trillion or the civil servants that sodomize Nigeria daily? Is the the thug Tompolo or his band of thieves?who exactly please, is GEJ worrying aside the poor man on the street? Look, whether or not you get paid for your activities on NL is not my concern or an issue for me, but try to be more sincere and less expansive with blatant lies and grand-standing. Keeping quiet as you have donw about the USA's broadside against GEJ's govt is more honorable than vague allusions |
All Jonathan needs to do is become pro-people! Its amazing he doesn't see this - that we are a very forgiving nation! If he would stand for Nigerians rather than the "power-brokers" he seems to worship, I wager things would change! But assailed on a daily basis by news of fraud upon fraud, misuse of power and blatant disregard for law & authority by even government, as we are, its no wonder the man keeps getting knocks! I doubt anyone would blame him for bringing us to where we stand but why is he not bringing us out of it? You promised, GEJ, and nobody will trust you when practically every promise you made, you have reneged on! Given so much yet throwing it all away! |
@Kobo: The problem is transportation to the markets! Terrible roads, the normal haulage cost charged by truck operators, inordinately high cost of diesel (much of which is corrupted via mixing with other substances), bribes demanded by polive & security agents, and then the "taxes" imposed by local governments! A truck will spend about an extra million aside value of its load to get to Lagos! Its sad how we are the architects of our own problems! |
Where did he say Pastor Adeboye should retire? That tweet does NOT say so |
The level of vitriol & vexation on NL threads nowadays amazes me! We are in 2012 discussing 2015 and educated people are this angry? Yet someone who says 2015 has to be fair, free AND seen to be so else we court trouble, is being vilified? If the gladiators here were talking over a table, would anyone be surprised to see them come to violence? Yet we expect that lying, cheating, rigging and\or manipulation will result in smiles in 2015? I fear what said year will bring! |
@image123: I am sure you have heard the term "Nation of Islam" before! Humor me but please tell us who made up that nation of Islam and in which setting they exist? |
While youngsters the world over are taking over the world's economy and setting standards, youth here are fighting to become PA's and hired hacks of thugs disguised as politicians in a bid to "oppress" as favoured "boys" of our theiving elite |
![]() Mad BEAF Disease |
![]() This guy has fully lost it! Rabies no good O |
Beaf: ^Your father is also your grandfather! ![]() And you are the only dog here - not even pure bred but a mongrel, in-bred, liar, thief, hypocrite and a stomach worshipping dolt! Why would anyone rage against Pavlov's dog? All we need is whisper GMB & hungry rabid animals start salivating! Sorry but NOTHING, repeat nothing, can ever place your progeny in the same class as GMB. You & yours serve the Iboris of this world (yes I saw the photo of the flat-headed nitwit) and can never rise above the mire to have respectt |
Beaf: You are really stup!d indeed and the cross bred product of rabies and a mad woman. But it is known that you guys are unrefined dogs and baboons who live by lies, rumour and threats of bloodshed. It is your snot-nosed flatheaded bald father that is the product of madness and rabies! Plus he probably forced himself upon his sister from same paternity thus bringing onto earth you sorry shallow loser! Rant! Rant further! Then rant more! But it won't make a difference cos you are an in-bred sodomite! Fela, Atiku and an article written by another likely dolt like those filling your family tree are what we should believe? ![]() And this simply because you wish to "prove" loyalty to your current principal who would be better served listening to so-called enemies rather than bingos like you? No wonder the country is in a sad state when the president has the dregs of society as his support! Go kill yourself if you wish but nobody with half a brain listens to you anymore! Wretch! |
Beaf: Yeah, its a joke isn't it? Everybody knows that all you so called Buhari supporters are after is the continued theft of our oil money. You should go get shots for rabies! According to your post quoted above, Buhari stole 2.8 Billion when Nigeria's budget wasn't even up to 1 billion! From where? You father's village? ![]() Plus you also claim he announced he was resigning and Idiagbon took over? WOW - your madness no get pair! You are dishonest, a liar, obviously a thief, criminally minded, low life and an absolute waste of skin - did God create you or is it possible God actually gave GEJ a chance to design something resulting in your brain? Seems GMB is scaring you all so much now that you've thrown all semblance of decency out the window! Luckily and for those who wish the truth, there exists so much free knowledge out there that proves that whist no one is perfect, GMB still remains one of the best examples of a decent straight forward man! You on the other hand remain a mongrel, pathetic and pitiable! There is a saying that some people are so poor that the only thing they have is money - I doubt such as you has even that with this grovelling before ineptitude! Wretch! |
Myself2: So much for Mr Integrity,I was never fooled by the numerous pretences of the tyrant,he should first explain what happened to that money before going on national TV to shed crocodile tearsWhat money? ![]() Nigeria paid us$50 million NATIONAL debt in 1984 but a minister stole 2.8 BILLION in 1977? This is daft, idiotic, moronic, a sham, ridiculous and a joke! ![]() Does connecting to the web automatically shut down your brains that you can even imagine these things? Its worrisome that some of you are not locked up! |
