I actually wanted to know exact problems that are synonymous with odyssey. I've inquired about sienna from people using it but the response is not too good. They complain of excess fuel consumption and expensive spare parts.
If someone can tell me Odyssey's problems, I'll appreciate that better than giving baseless criticism

the 4cylinder variant is extremely underpowered, don't buy if you will be loading car constantly

the rear suspension aren't load friendly, at full load it's possible to experience rear scraping

the body begins to fall as it age its also an Honda doesn't tolerate bypass.

I tot they have same technology only detailed to meet specific state laws and requirements.... eg the California based exhaust system and the US (other states) based exhaust in the Toyota Camry 02-06.
ULEV and the sort.... same technology only that one is fine tuned to produce lesser emission than the other to meet with state regulations and also to cater for the specific needs of that particular environment. not to hoard technology....

the patent law only prohibits other companies in the same industry from copying the tech..... like what ivm is doing with those Chinese coys.... creating copycats..... they can do better with their imagination.

all xterra are solid but sometimes when we need ground clearance we tend to pick the wrong vehicle. if you are not a farmer who drives to forest and jungle a Nissan Xtrail will do just fine

its acceleration isn't the problem, I think its more of underpowered engine of both the i4 amd V6 only the turbo v6 tried at 210 or so.

a 1mz of same year does 210 naturally also the 3.4L in the 4runner.

the pathfinder is 180hp before the 3.5L 240hp

now with all that weight coupled with engine wear after some months in naija and shikini hp

compared to quest, pathfinder and frontier as miniature as the xterra looks the mpg isn't friendly. most people have met have bad mpg review. that can be attributed to its purely off road design

you know that car has various engine, your gear may not be appropriate for the higher engine picked. though I am not too sure

I love the car, when I even got it, I didn't know how to drive then, I learnt driving with it and mastered it soon enough.

Noo problem whatsoever, no electrical issues, it's very reliable too, but recently, it jerks, I think it now consumes more fuel, using AC with it makes it very weak to ascend hills most times, it would run well for some minutes and drag for few seconds then try to run well again.

I just feel the engine is old already, maybe a good Toks will make me a happy man again.

I discussed with a friend yesterday who uses golf3, u will get engine at itire. he bought his 110k engine and gear with out fixing. yours should be a bit higher

says sleeving a vw engine is a waste of time, he bought a bigger engine variant 1.8L reason he also changed gear. your 1.4L engine may be scarce I know only Skoda has that engine too.
