Little poetic licence about going on here,
as I am adding a fictitious detail (i.e. nigger) to 1 Peter 4:16 to make it more interesting
and hoping to make a point, as you give the edited version some serious thought or consideration:

Nigger is/was a troublesome word, a slur word, a word used to insult etcetera given to Blacks
Blacks never called themselves niggers,
and on a similar vein, the Apostles, disciples of Jesus, early believers etcetera never called themselves Christians
It was the people at Antioch, out of bewilderment and slighting
who in a contemptuous ridicule and mockery manner, started and/or first called the Apostles, disciples of Jesus, early believers etcetera called Christians

The Apostles, disciples of Jesus, early believers etcetera suffered as Christians (e.g. ridiculed, fed to the lions, burned at stakes etcetera)
and Blacks had some form of discrimination too and suffered as niggers during/in the Slavery and/or Racial Segregation era

Peter knew early believers are likely to have or be subjected to bad or unpleasant experience by a section of the society that calls and/or called them Christians (i.e. a derogatory term)

Atheists dont get it , do they ? How did Christianity spread ? How could the apostles persuade the jews and even the pagan gentiles to join them .

1. The Lifestyle - The godly holy life they lived - a Christ -like life - free of evil and wickedness , fellowship of the brethren , the peace and love the early apostles shared between themselves and everyone .

2. The Miracles -This has to be the most convincing , their sick got healed , their dead were raised , the blind could see , the deaf could hear and their lame could walk

3. The Testimonies - the newly converted Christians' lives got changed , they kept proclaiming God's goodness and these convinced the jews
and gentiles to give this Christianity a try

4. The Gospel - The undiluted word of God with the purpose of convicting a sinner to cry for forgiveness , the power that accompanied the truth that was preached by the apostles and disciples

5. The Holy Spirit - The teacher of all things , the One who can disturb and convince the hardest/toughest of minds after the gospel of truth has preached , the Holy One who convinces you that the power of God is true and free for all and that God can forgive you of all your sins . The Jews may have fancied the unknown tongues which the apostles spoke in - an outcome of the baptism of the Holy Spirit .

A very typical deeper life member who glories in their self righteousness and hypocrisy. This judgmental attitude from you people, amongst other reasons, was why I quickly the deeper life and move into another church where I'm currently enjoying MY relationship with God.

The greatest hindrance Christianity has is the cold and heartless attitude of many followers in it. Would Christ has spoken to Millerz the way you did? Won't he had shown her love a d compassion? I believe many of people are even in more dire need of a personal relationship with Christ. I can't stand your superman mentality.

If I tell you my experience, for good Ten years, you'll drink gamalin 20, on my behalf. But I stood and I now have a testimony that no one can take away or gainsay.

Just two days ago, a matured man (openly crying tears), going through his own growth (Wilderness) came to me asking, how I was able to pull through. I took him through the Word, prayed and handed him over to God. he will pull through.
