This match tough sha... Chai! The Swiss tried. No underdog for world cup again o! |
When Messi is not scoring, he's creating goals ![]() |
Ehya... Sexists everywhere. Not cool. |
dabossman: Enyeama parried the ball beyond Yobo and onto Pogba's head. If Enyeama had missed the ball completely and Yobo didn't jump to clear it, then I would blame Yobo. Besides, Yobo did well overall at this tournament and I was one of those who kicked against his inclusion in the team. Are you sure you watched the match? If Enyeama didn't come out for the ball, there were french heads near the post. They would easily have nodded in, cos no Super Eagles defender bothered jumping. Then we'd blame him for not taking chances. Enyeama knew that, and his only mistake in that goal was not punching far enough. Yobo was directly in front of Pogba, yet the french man got a free header. If Yobo had jumped he'd have at least disturbed Pogba. Instead, he had to contest with us for the best watcher Did you watch the Algerian match against Germany? Their Algerian keeper made mistakes too on some occasions, but his defence was there to help. When defenders don't do their work, the pressure piles up on the keeper and he'd make mistakes at some point. Enyeama is so good that we forget he isn't Superman. |
Awww... Well done Keshi. For the first time in many years, we had bragging rights and I actually expected the Super Eagles to win a strong team in the world cup. |
I understand that unexpandable memory part. It's Google's war against sdcard. But the fixed battery... Really? It seems to be slowly becoming a trend. |
Please we should keep an eye on Iheanacho. That guy shouldn't be left to waste away. |
hollandis: Keshi has set the precedence for Local coaches .He has tried .The only thing he needs to work on is his relationship with players .He kills the morale of players .Moses started performing badly under his tutelagecome, this girl, if you don't know something don't spew the first thing on your mind. Moses was loaned out to Liverpool and spent the better part of last season on the bench. How is that Keshi's fault? Moses only exploded for Nigeria in the nation's cup UNDER KESHI. You suck at analyzing football, go read a romance novel or something ![]() |
chevchenko: This is a very impressive match, the players palyed their hearts out, please and please nobody should come out and abuse them. The Nigerian coach, Stephen Keshi has also impressed me, in fairness to him, he always explains that his players improves with every match which is clearly apparent.well written bro... Well written. |
dabossman: Don't mind those blaming Yobo. his performance in this tournament since we lost Oboabona impressed me greatly. The ball deflected of him, but yes, Osaze caused the needless corner kick from a ball that was going out for a throw-in.True. Osaze goofed there. However, Yobo gifted Pogba with a free header for the first goal. He could at least have jumped. Instead he watched on like a spectator. |
naijaboyof4life: You must not know what love is. I said LOVE not ROMANCE, big difference.smh... He doesn't even realise there's something called romantic love. |
Up Super Eagles. Minus Yobo. We did well, just got lazy during the final minutes. Nigerian man of the match : Vincent Enyeama French man of the match: Joseph Yobo (dude allowed Pogba a free header and sored the second) Super Eagles for life! |
Well done captain Yobo ![]() |
Well my mother's love for me was unconditional till she died and my father's love is still. I looked/look at them and see nothing but unconditional love, Even with all my mess. And if u noticed I said pure love.
awww... Sorry about your mum. Being their child is already a condition, one you wouldn't have to renew from time to time. |
This Super Eagles team is bad at set pieces sha. |
bukatyne: @Oahray,submission is yielding to authority out of fear or respect. What's your point? |
bukatyne: Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.lemme answer with the Bible too. The same Paul who wrote that to the Ephesians wrote this to the Phillipians. The context of Ephesians 5:21 shows that it is directed to all Christians. The admonition to husbands and wives starts from verse 22. Never ignore context. Read Phillipians 2 : 3. I'd quote from many translations. New International Version Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, New Living Translation Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. English Standard Version Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. New American Standard Bible Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; King James Bible Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. http://biblehub.com/philippians/2-3.htm Isn't it clear? When we view others as better than us or respect them, submission naturally follows. It's the reason Paul tells wives that the husband is the head of his wife, providing the basis for submission. It's the God-given authority that they submit to. It's not rocket science, ma'am. |
Beync: I would have gone to look for your harem if it were in sambisalol. Ok, write sambisa on your mirror and do the needful. |
Mettal: compassion and love is not the same, oono they aren't. If you feel pity or sympathy, it's compassion. That's where it ends, as a feeling. You don't necessarily have to act on it. If you act on it, when it's very inconvenient or involves great sacrifice, without an eye on rewards, it's love. But we are derailing. |
shizzle11: The emphases should be on husband /wife rship but you digressed a bit. However i agree with those practical factor that influence submission. Love on its own does not equate or bring about submission, but I'm saying maybe to an extent it doesok o. There's always a big picture, and until we look at the big picture, we might never get the answers we need. Have a great day bro. |
Mettal: then any random human love doesn't exist at all because we are all Evil.lolz... Random human love exists o. There are instances of people who risk their lives to save strangers, just because they can't stand and watch or walk away. But it's not common. The average human is selfish by default. |
shizzle11: Im a realist, i hardly believe in theories anyways.she simply quoted the Bible to show that it is necessary for a husband to love his wife and for a wife to be submissive in contrast to the attitudes described above it. The first part of the op is talking of what is obtainable in practice. The chicken and egg situation (if both depend on each other, which comes first) of this first part is what gives rise to her question, not the verses she quoted. The Bible merely set rules for each partner in no particular order. There's no where in the context of those verses that shows that both are linked and that one must be a result of the other. So when I try to bring in all practical factors that influence submission and insist love doesn't play a big role, what's my offence? |
shizzle11: for the sake of those trying to outsmart themselves and clarity, please tell us are you talking about a husband/wife relationship or parent-to-child rship? thankslmao. I was only trying to help you see the implications of your generalisation. No vex. |
shizzle11: To start with for the sake of clarity, the thread bordered on husband/wife relationship, which was why the op quoted some verses that said husband love....., wives submit...and it was in that context that i mede my inputs. It was never on parent/child relationship but rather on spousal relationship.smh... Submission is as much a part of all facets of life and relationships as much as love is. It's present before marriage and during marriage. Your point is that if you love someone, you'd always submit to the person. My point is that love is not the reason people submit. Let's even pretend marriage has unique psychological rules that doesn't apply elsewhere. Does this mean that every husband who loves his wife would submit to her? |
Mettal: you are misinterpreting me , i mean mother to her own child's love. Not any random child.that's the condition bro. Look at the big picture. |
shizzle11: Parents are expected to love their children which is unarguable. Talking about submitting to them, you can also submit to your kids when they are still infants, you tend to do their bidding cos no parent would like to see his/her child crying for ice cream, bobo drink or corn flakes. Sometimes even when you may feel the child is eating too much or demanding too much to eat, you tend to submit to his/her wishes cos you cant watch a child cry and disturb you for such necessities and do nothing especially if its something you have to do otherwise you wont have peace.Your first paragraph shows that you have no idea what submission means. Your second paragraph shows you make statements without giving thought to the implication. You made a general statement about love but are shocked that I singled out parents and children? Who does that? If love makes us submit, and parents don't submit to their grown children, does it mean they stopped loving them? ![]() |
Mettal: TWO THINGS;being the mother is already a condition. Does your mum love her neighbours children like she loves you? Even in the animal Kingdom, mothers are willing to hunt down other animals' offspring to feed theirs but would aggressively protect theirs. If it were unconditional, they would sacrifice themselves for a random animal's offspring and not theirs alone. |
shizzle11: I think its you who is missing the point.explain the part where parents love their children and therefore would submit to them. I repeat, submission comes from either fear or respect. Fear comes from threat/duress. Respect comes from acknowledging authority. Love doesn't delegate authority. It simply provides a sense of security for the one who submits. Authority is delegated by religion, the societal norm (e.g age), financial power (and one's dependence), intellect, etc. Why do you think it's harder for a wife who earns way more than her husband to submit to him than when she earns less? Does earning more make her love him less? In a relationship where two people love each other to bits, only one party is submissive. Be more observant. Life is more of practical than theory. |
shizzle11: love should come first. You cannot love someone without being submissive to the person , but you can submit to someone without loving the person, with love submission follows naturallyif as you say, love cannot exist without submission, but submission can exist without love, how come you say submission follows love naturally? Your premise is greatly flawed anyway. Love doesn't not make one submissive, else parents would be submissive to their children. Submission simply comes from the acceptance (conscious or subconscious) that someone else is superior. Submission is a natural reaction to either fear or respect. |
honeric01: LOL, using Mikel (10) to me killed the whole creativity, how can you use the snail of the tournament for such feat? he dribbled from the middle they accelerated down the far left corner of the opposition with no one catching up with him, then crosses? Mikel of all people? since i have known him, i have never seen him do such feat...................................prove me wrong!stop reading the minds of millions of Nigerian football lovers ![]() |
Love is the ultimate. You love people the way they are. Whether submissive or not. Pure love is unconditional. The fact is whether a man shows love or not, a submissive woman will be. And whether a woman is submissive or not, a loving husband will be.
one day you'd read this post and laugh at yourself. No love is unconditional, not even a mother's love. |

very simple, we lost on technical and tactical analysis, that is the difference between a technical adviser and a coach. The French coaching crew realised that the temperature was not to their advantage so they played it cool in the first half, they also realised Onazi and Efe were the engine of the team, so they took them out (Onazi completely, Efe partially), same tactics was used in 1994 by the Italians.
