Well, there's green light,but it doesn't mean you already want to DATE the person. It simply means you don't mind it if the person goes ahead with trying to. However, depending on the style (s)he uses, (s)he either makes a favourable impression or turns you off permanently.

I think the mistake many people (especially guys) make is thinking that once a girl smiles at them, they are half-way there, so they become too pushy. You still have to gently start from scratch.

The sarcasm is both amusing and annoying at the same time, but it does sum up an aspect of gender double standards quite succinctly.

Op this is not all true...

- A single man is a hot cake and can settle when he likes without much pressure, a single woman would be pestered by family and friends to make her life 'meaningful' before her time passes.

- Unnactractive men get more dates than unnactractive women, especially when they have money, since men usually make the first move. Many men would refuse to see beyond a lady's looks, much less go after her.

It's a world of double standards, and it goes both ways.

lol. He didn't DEMAND sex. He didn't even ask, technically. I wonder where you saw that. He simply foolishly said he wanted to spend the night.

The op read that suggestion as wanting to sleep with her, just as he read her earlier action (asking him to come over to fix her pc, and then spending time with him) as a green light.

How come the op has a right to read whatever meaning she likes into something and the guy doesn't? A guy doesn't even need to do you a favour before trying to take things to the level he wants, but if you do ask for unnecessary favours when you know he wants you, you are encouraging him.

Try to know what a thread is truly about before commenting.

My comment has less to do with the potential of human beings to commit crime, and more to do with STATISTICS. Yes, those women you mentioned commited crimes, but what proportion of the female world populace do they represent? Even children have committed crimes, so we can agree that crime is not isolated to any age or gender.

How many women have beaten helpless babies? Do you think that no man has ever beaten a baby to death, simply because it wasn't captured on video?

How many men have sexually or physically abused babies? How many women have?

Why are women not poisoning each other now?

And let's not make excuses about women being weaker. I think it is a cup out. Why are they not killing each other or killing children, or attacking animals, at the same rate as men? Again, I am talking about statistics and proportions.

Tactics! The difference is tactics. A woman is much more subtle. If a man is mad enough at you, he'd use his strength on you and let the world know that he isn't one to be angered. If a woman is mad enough at you, she'd finish you off silently and pretend she knows nothing about it. Tell me, which is likely to find its way into the records?

Now that the person captured on the video is female, statistics is no longer enough? Smh... Do you know how much abuse by stepmothers go unreported daily? Do you know how many househelps are physically or verbally abused with no one to look their way? Do you know how many husbands dread returning home to their wives, from work everyday?

Women aren't poisoning each other now because they are cooking for men at the moment (feminists can bang their heads on the nearest wall, if they like). It's the men that suffer it silently, because the society says that's what it means to be a real man.

I got your point, and it's still shortsighted. My post was to point out to you that womenfolk are not the saints you'd like to pretend they are. Good thing you agree.
