Treyknowles: From what I read you can apply for a year RP with 6720 Euros but why would you go all the way to Finland to study how to be a cook? Have you thought about how you'll convince the VO that nigeria doesn't have that type of cook program?
I think you should really think about it. Please kindly direct me to the page you read it. Concerning your fear, upper vocational studies are the only tuition free in Finland except you are given a scholarship . More than 6 people i know had gone through this route & they later apply for universities of Applied sciences to further their education. It is a 3 years intensive program . The quality of teaching is far better than studying catering & hotel management in any higher institution in Nigeria. |

Good day everyone, according to the information on enterfinland, an applicant must have 13,440 euros at his/her disposal to for a 2 year stay. The question is can someone divide the money into 2 & apply for a year RP although the COOK program is 3 years. Why i’m confused is that it used to be 6,720 Euros on their website which is for a year |

Shercorp: Hello guys, Can ECO accept affidavit of age declaration sworn by applicant himself or it must be done by parents or older sibling, aunty e. t. c
I did my affidavit for my age declaration my self and used it to get my attestation of birth at the NPC state office Lagos.
P. S: I'm 18+
Please is this okay?
or must be an older person than I? Attestation of birth at the NPC now supersede the affidavit . You are good to go with that . |

Why are we over-flogging this issue of explanation if you stay more than the stated date in your application. For you first timers , listen to @justwise advice, stick to your stated days in your application to avoid this type of headache when reapplying.
For this particular guy that asked whether he needs to explain, the answer is NO. Do not explain anything.
Everyone has spoken well concerning the issue and for those that use their situation as case studies, they are not lying because personally i applied for 5 days & spent 10 days and on my renewal i didnt explain anything & i got my visa .
My take on all these is spending few days(not months) more than the applied days is not a big deal. |

Tajudeen40: what happened when one overstayed with two months ,exit the UK and apply for Irish visa? Automatic refusal. Why will you overstay in the first place? Most of this countries share immigration history with one another. But if you can give a cogent reason for overstaying like the closure of border due to COVID -19 pandemic or a situation beyond your own country , you might not have issue. For those of you that intend to spend more days than what you state in your application, listen to @justwise , dont do it especially if it is your first time. But on your subsequent travelling, you can spend a reasonable longer days which you can defend. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by oak202: 9:49pm On May 17, 2020 |
justwise: Yes there is a need for an explanation else your application is likely to be refused. I think he will need the explanation when he spends like a month or more but considering he spent 21 days out of 6 months visa, there is no need for explanation . Although i understand your point but in this case no need for explanation. |

justwise: Yes is the answer, it doesn't matter whether you are going to visit the person or not, you don't have to use IV from the person, you can use hotel booking . They have it on record already that you know someone in the U.K., yes it's 10yrs ago but that doesn't remove the fact that you know someone. Thank you for this response because i have been observing the way the question is being misinterpreted. The answer is YES to the question because he had already said yes in his previous application. |

Biosak: please I still need an answer to this. Thanks No one can decide on your behalf how much you spend in a month because your statement of account might reflect this . One thing is for you to put a reasonable amount that will not jeopardize your disposable income. For example, if you earn 350,000 per month & your monthly expenditure is 85k. You still have 265k to play around with. So any money you intend to spend on your trip should not be more than twice of 265k(530k) |

Shercorp: Good morning people.
I have an issue and I honestly don't know how to go about it; I was refused a UK EEA family permit because my birth certificate was registered 14 years after my birth. The ECO said I should have submitted a letter of authority from the Deputy Chief registrar for late birth registration after 1 year of my birth. which is subject to payment of fees, but according to National Population commission, there is no penalty for late birth registration as they are trying to encouragement massive birth registration all over the country.
my problem is that the ECO quoted Act 1992 of the constitution in my refusal letter, but NPC is saying that they have waived off the penalty.
Please can anybody offer a little help here?
thanks in advance. Go & do fresh sworn affidavit in court stating your date of birth & how you lost it. The typist in court knows the right format to use. Take the affidavit & passport photograph to NPC office in your state of residence, you will be required to fill a form & pay certain amount of money( i dont know the figure) which will be receipted . They will ask you to come back after few days for ATTESTATION OF BIRTH letter which is a replacement for your birth certificate. NPC Lagos office is at 12-14 Babs Animashaun Street, Surulere beside NYSC secretariat.

Nomsy2: Please I need urgent help let me know what to do.. My Tier 2 UK visa application is already booked for next week, I answered NO to the question do you have a valid national ID card?
In all honesty I don't have a valid national ID card, I enrolled 2013 and was given the NIMC slip but since then the card has never been issued.. I noticed also that banks won't even accept it from me as a means of identification because although it has the NIN it doesn't have the NIMC logo embedded in it like some others I saw..
My problem now is, was i wrong to answer NO? Should i still include the slip like that when i go for submission and explain why i answered NO or it isn't necessary? You are not wrong to answer NO & don’t bother to include it. |

In 2016 I applied to study in the UK even though I just got back from a visit to the UK, but I was denied because they were not satisfied with my financial statement as to how I got the money in my account. Since then I haven’t applied to visit or for study. Now I plan to apply for a 6months visiting visa, but I’m only visiting for 2weeks I have been working since 2017 with a starting salary of N100k and now I earn N120k per month. 1. Please how much is the least I can have in my account, I’m thinking N1.2M 2. Can I do hotel reservation?

I will be very glad and thankful if I am replied..plsssssssssss If your visa application passes your proposed date of traveling , it has no effect on the ECO decision in as much you have applied early. The most important thing is for you to meet their visa requirement. |

Brightingsus: It would do us a lot of good to read to understand. I just gave a screenshot of what the government site says in their rules, never my opinion. The UKVI rule lists the items not considered to decide a visa application unless the application requests for it. This means when prompted for address, then you include whatever place you intend to stay. If it is a hotel, then the hotel address. If staying with family, then the residential address. In a nutshell, hotel reservation is not a defacto.
Your case required a hotel booking as that probably was where you stated you would be accommodated, then you cancelled the booking. Any visa application requires address of where you will be be staying whether hotel booking or any address. In as much as you dont have a place to stay, the visa decision will not favour you. The fact that the website states you dont have to provide it does not mean you should not provide it. Infact, *it is one of the things they first consider* |

nappypee: Good day house. Iposted early about using my business account to apply for UK visa. Someone suggested I use both my savings and my business ccount. I do all the personal spending in the same business account. I have a balance of 3m in it. Do I need to transfer some funds that would cover my journey into my savings account since i hardly put money in it before applying for the UK Visa? The advise is for you to pay yourself monthly salary from your business account to your personal account . Do not transfer the lump sum for your journey at once. |

Darvick: Oga personal account can be savings or current account, why did you submit your personal account? You should have used your business account only.
The question was can he or she use business account, dont complicate the whole thing by comparing it to yours. Whereas you submitted your personal account as you claimed I understand you bro, ECO frowns at people using business account for personal trip. Maybe i didnt get the gist well. Thanks for the clarification. The way out is for him to wait and pays himself monthly salary to his personal account from his business account . With this he is good to go |

I did the same thing for my first visa application and i was granted visa with CAC & personal account. Although i have another salary job as a state civil servant.
