olymyk:I was curious to find out if you are an agent/scammer yourself, so I checked your past posts, and was not too surprised to discover how fraudulent you have been. I also now understand your gross with Justwise because he was one of the people that advised you to stop your use of agents and fraudulent practices. But looks to me you have no intention to change, despite all the good advices you were given. Below is your quote with the link from the thread you started. olymyk:I recommend that everyone read through this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=305197.msg4296134#msg4296134 |
olymyk:Nigeria is corrupt because you are corrupt and fraudulent. olymyk:Looks to me that you have a problem with poverty. If you don’t have any money, why will you think of traveling in the first place. Or how do you intend to pay for your flight tickets and other expenses. Nobody, not even the embassy says you must be super rich before you can travel out. Also the embassies allows you to use a sponsor. The 1st time I applied for visa I had less than 400K in my account, But I had someone who was ready to stand as my sponsor. And I submitted his genuine bank account. |
kinol:There is a thread on UK appeal. Go through it, am sure you will get all the information you need. You can also ask your question there. I have never handled an appeal, so i wont be certain of the procedures. But the much I know is that you are the one to innitiate the appeal and your brother will follow it up. |
Let’s use this thread to discuss the pros and cons of using visa agents. If you have personal experience with visa agents both positive and negative, please feel free to share them here, guess many can learn from it. But At all cost we need to drive away scammers. Thank God for people like Justwise, MrCrackles, Davedavy, Dubino, Flekan and others, who go through the trouble of detecting many scammers here in NL and advising people to do the right thing; and a lot of time insult is what we get as reward. |
So many times I hear and read stories of people being scammed in their bid to travel abroad. As much as I hate these wicked scammers, I also wonder why a lot of our people keep giving themselves to these scammers. Going abroad is not as difficult as they make a lot of them to believe. Some of them are even over-qualified for d visa they need, yet they will still look for agents/scammers. I don’t know if it is laziness or something else. It is cheaper, safer and sometimes even faster if you process your visa yourself. Even if you don’t get the visa, at least you would not loose your money to scammers. All you need is information and advice from the right quarters. Step 1: Go online, or to the embassy and gather all the requirements you need to get the visa to your destination. Or ask here in Nairaland, people will be glad to give you all the information. Step 2: Start gathering all those requirements and documents. Make sure they are genuine and original; those embassies staffs are no fool. These may take you some times, that is why you should start early, and please don’t be in such a hurry. Step 3: Go to the embassy or the embassy’s accredited Agents, apply and submit your application, if you need interview, they will call you. If you submit all the requirements and they are genuine, YOU WILL GET THE VISA, if they don’t give you, you can appeal and you will win the appeal. |

I dont know. Put a call through to Botswana or Canadian embassy or check online. By the way are you from Botswana or you intend to become a Botswana citizen? |
soocofemi:Actually this is NAIRAland, not NAIRAbank. We discuss issues, we dont share NAIRA, find the bank nearest to you or go to Aso Rock where they share NAIRA. humnmmmnnmm on a second thought, may be SEUN of Nairaland will borrow you sa (he is the only one counting NAIRA here) , wait for his call. ![]() |
Well may be Kano, but Lagos, It wont happen. |
flekan:I wonder o!!! |
no one ever answered my question
Why now? have u considered Justwise option of batty boi? If you dont know d meaning just google batty boi.Now seriously speaking. You can get a resident paper if you marry a citizen or if you are a professional (highly skilled), or a pontetial investor (You must have about (350,000 pounds), or if you have a work permit. So which option will you take? By the way what visa are you currently holding (visit or student visa)? the information will enable people to advice you better |
@blackspade Thanks for those Pictures. i didnt know Gabon is that beautiful. @Walesbank State your advice here and stop asking people to come and meet you. If what you want to give is more than advice, let us know. |
olymyk:If you are not a scammer yourself, and you have seen someone you love scammed, you will appreciate what Justwise is doing. He or any of us never said nobody should travel; many of us including Justwise are oustside the country. But what we are against is people using the platform of Nairaland to scam unsuspecting people. If Walesbanks trully wants to help people, he should post his information here; he started the thread, so he should post the details. I wonder how he wants to help people with bank accounts and other fake documents. Is he a Bank MD, or CBN Director. Please let us not encourage what is wrong. This is part of the reason outsiders think Nigerians are fraudulent people. Imagine any non-Nigerian reading what many people like Walesbanks posted on a public forum, boasting about being able to help people with bank accounts and fake travel documents, what impression do you think that will give us? |
Those complaining there is none in the north should get the fact clearly, these are private universities, owned by private citizen. Why should any business minded person invest in building a university where majority of the people don’t like western education or where any little religion provocation will lead to killing and burning. The north might need a private Islamic University sa, I guess that will sell. |
How many Americans are leaving America illegally or how many British are illegal immigrant in other countries. If Nigeria is OK why would anyone be leaving it illegally. These politicians should address the real problem jo. Another waste of time and taxpayer’s money to debate nonsense, instead of debating the real issues; power, bad roads, unemployments etc |
smoothman:Cool down for now. Since you have paid an agent and you are expecting your visa in 3 weeks time, I will say wait until your visa is out. As a matter of fact most of the documents you need to process your work permit will have to be gotten in Austria, like letter of employment and stuffs like that. 1 document i think you might need from Nigeria will be the Police Report stating if you have any criminal record or not, you have to get that at Alagbon. But my real concern is that you might still have to come back to Naija to process your work permit, as many of these countries don’t usually allow people to change their living status in their country. Am not so sure about Austria sa. It would have been better if the visa they are processing for you is a student visa and not a visit visa. |
justwise:Well done my guy. Been very busy for sometimes now. These scammers are very unrepentant; they keep coming in different colours. But really I wonder why a lot of our people keep giving themselves to these scammers. Going abroad is not as difficult as they make a lot of them to believe. Some of them are over-qualify for d visa they need, yet they will still look for agents/scammers. I don’t know if it is laziness or something else. Definitely it is not a naija syndrome. because every member of my family (nuclear and extended) and friends that I know who are in various part of Europe and America never use any agent. Think we should start a thread to educate many. That these things are cheaper and better done themselves, all they need is information and advice from the right quarters. Well done. |
European:Sorry whiteboy. But u aint see nothing yet. We’ve not even started. 50yrs from now, nobody will believe Europe used to belong to the whites. Have you checked the rate at which we multiply? We are invading Europe big time and there is nothing your sorry a-ss can do about it. As for giving us money and food, did your grandfathers forget to mention it to you that they are owing us, because our grandfathers didn’t forget to tell us. ![]() |
ru bebe:A mistake was definately made. 1.8M will give you more than ₤6,000 You should get a call up. Good luck. |
kinol:You made a mess of your application by stating that you earned 45k a month. You need to include souces of other income. Stocks etc. 45K a month is also sending a signal that you might not come back. Just find a way to include income from other sources. Sure You can appeal. You can win. best luck. |
Fingers crossed till your visa is out. So keep us posted. (But I think paying 500k for visit visa is too much o, does d 500k payment include your flight tickets?) With 500K in an account I think one should be able to get a visit visa easily from any European embassy) Good luck. |
@Rosabelle You are wrong. Admitting the truth does not mean indulgence. I don’t do ashawo and i have no problem talking to women. But some of the things the poster said are true. |
With its horrid cities, especially Lagos, no regular businessman who isn’t half crazy would want to set up shop there, right? Wrong.Gbam!!! |
