The truth is the governor is overrated and people are pushing him to perdition. There is no sympathy anywhere for him. How do you explain it that the whole DOP ( a bini man) forgot the items needed to seek prayers and blessings from the palace? It is all about embarrassing him to confuse him the more.

If you know Benin of Oshomole, you will hate Obaseki Benin infrastructurally. Ekenhua road to the Barack up to Gelegele is not motorable and the only thing you see is Oshomole red roof and nothing more but still the man is living in fools paradise. My knowing seyi makinde isn't a distant one, I know him closely ni. He also had his company's branch in the oil-rich region. I didn't even know he's from oyo state until later. That said, I'm sure you know it's hard for the opposition to defeat an incumbent or a ruling party. Forget that people also loved him but in a place like oyo state, with ibadan, the erstwhile largest city in africa as capital, money...i mean huge money is involved and the pdp didn't have all that to spend in oyo to support makinde. A party NEC NEC decision can be overturned by any court, and has been done several times in the Nigeria political space, u guys should stop misleading people that a court can't overturn a political party NEC decision.

2. The contestants did not object POI emergence
3. The list was submitted to INEC by the constituted caretaker committee that was ratified by the NEC and supported by ALL factions.

Adoption of past decision made by both factions has punctured any further claims.

There are some incentives that can push up your earnings in multi nationals . Profit sharing/ bonus is one of such. For instance, if the percentage is 10% of the profits running into billions of dollars per annum , you know how much it will be . Then don't forget he declared 2 companies as his own personal companies. So add it and you will have at least something to add up

Do you know where is called Agodi GRA? With due respect, there is no way you will get free plots of land running into 20 plots in that area. The place is the heart of Ibadan and well developed area of the city .

Placing Oshiomole Government ( 1st term) vs Obaseki(1st term), do you think Obaseki deserves 2nd term ? What the PDP is using up and down is just a mere opinion of a voter in the election. That Oshiomole said it has not made it right. If you use Ize Iyamu's past in Uniben then don't be offended if APC calls your man Obaseki Mr 3 credits .

Both parties goofed and not limited to one party . PDP condemned Obaseki and tagged him a failure too and that is not better than what Oshiomole has spoken about Ize Iyamu .

All these people who are claiming that the battle is between Oshomole and Obaseki don't understand Edo politics. Once a god father begins to play god in Edo politics, he is a goner. Late Chief Tony Anineh ended his political relevance in Edo when he felt that he could hire and fire at will, Edo voters taught him and Osunbor political lesson and voted Oshomole an under dog who became Governor. Today Oshomole wants to play god, for that singular reason and for the fact that the accusations against Obaseki is not about performance, I know he has performed well, but on issue of political loyalty to a god father. Oshomole will be surprised by Edo voters. Federal might won't help him this time around.

Sorry then, election can be rigged in the areas APC is popular and in case you have forgotten, not all will go with him to the next party. Since he has been castrated politically, did you hear of any protest or crisis.

Now to the reality, Kabaka other political soldiers will create crisis where the obaseki is popular and expect over voting in other places.

There are many things that people don't know about the politics playing out in Edo State and by extention ondo state:

APC has nothing to lose if Edo state should go to the opposition because with the pending economic downturn, many governors will cross carpet to the ruling party before the next election .

It is not sure for Tinubu that he will be the flag bearer of APC so the whole scheme by him is to have a major say in who will be the next president .

As far as politics is concerned, Obaseki has gone the way of Oyegun . He should just make peace with his political family members .

The greatest loser is Philip Shuaibu. There is no way PDP or any political party in Nigeria will allow Obaseki to feature him as the deputy . Fighting Oshiomole was his greatest political undoing. Oshiomole is his Uncle and he was tutored and mentored by Oshiomole so now that the ships are down and his boss Obaseki is seeking for political survival , where will he run to ?

In all, Nigeria politics is very dangerous and unpredictable. So it does not worth gathering enemies for. If you were in Delta State during Ogboru vs Uduaghan where many of the supporters died because of the bitterness then and now they are both in APC and best of friends. Obaseki made deadly mistakes .

Has Akeredolu achieved more than other governors? Yes. By Nigerian standard, he has done so much in many areas . The pensioners you are advocating for, do you know any of them ? The local governments has been giving financial autonomy and you expect him to shoulder the liabilities of undeserved ?

I retired from Ondo State Teaching Service Commission in 2007 and I stopped pursuing my entitlements when more than half of total sum has been collected from the back but people that retired after me testified that Akeredolu is paying both the gratuity and pensions . The monies are paid within 3 months .

He us not perfect but Ondo north and Central is sure for him 100%.

What people don't understand about the Obaseki story are:

He sidelined party leaders forgetting that politics is a game of numbers. Those he accused of fighting for not sharing money are billionaires

His refusal to swear in those lawmakers that won election and were his party members.

Ize Iyamu is never a push over in Edo politics especially the influence his father wedged as a palace chief .

The governor should have wooed leaders and influencers to his side instead of fighting everyone and now he can boast of 10 leaders of APC within the state that are in his support

There is nothing to show for his 3 and half years as governor compared to predecessor.

The best will just be to make peace like Ambode did at the later end else he should prepare for EFCC .

Edo central is large but can't deliver him because Edo south is for Ize Iyamu and Edo North is for Oshiomole .
