ifeco4: Jonathan had good intentions for the nation but he was too soft. Jonathan no be leader truth be told, a good man yes BUT a leader? Definitely not. No will. He had the best chance to correct the ills of Nigeria, he had not much people to pay back for making him president, he wasn't so ambitious like others, he should have just gone ahead following his conviction on what he thinks is right. He also lacked the will to deal with criminals around him, I will say stellah oduah and Diezani alone cost him 1 million votes |

Putindbutt: Aside Dora Akunyili, others were average, Okonjo was the worst. I am Yoruba, don't ever say that about Okonjo. This is not about world bank or any appointment, how old are you not to know how that woman got this country a big debt relief or u think it was obasanjo himself that negotiated. Barth is not average if you know what value means, Soludo is top-notch too(i have a problem with his bitterness for every shining star in igboland though) but as a person of value, he is top-tier. Let's admit the truth when we see it dora, okonjo, barth, soludo are top men and women in terms of value creation and they are great assets to the Nigerian society |

You can't be cooking new meals in a dirty pot and expect good taste.
Oliseh is very straightforward, fearless though arrogant. Amunike is selfless , honest but too calm.He might not have d confidence to say NO to d many bad heads in NFF.
Kanu and Okocha are part of those messing up d NFF presently. please share details |

Dialpad: Not possible, these BDC cannot meet the demand of Nigeria based on the $20k weekly by CBN. So if I want to travel and I need $15000, where will I get the cash ? Will aboki sell the entire amount at government approved rate or how will it work. The people I pity most are those that hurriedly purchased between 1400 and 1800 with the hope that it will hit 2500. They didn't consider that the government will fight back. Sadly those who bought at that price will still make their huge profit 20k to BDCs is not sufficient, demand outweighs that supply, The shortage of supply will create a black market. Government will criminalize it and that will only make the black market blacker(if you know what I mean). Which means for u to purchase from the black market, u must be ready to pay with ur blood |

GUNITGuy: Great Opinion anyway....I also have a question as t o what is the Function of FRSC, NSCDC, and many Civil Police agencies that should have been merged into the Police Force ...What's the essence of Security exchange commission when we have ministry of finance...... Most of these Policies would have to go through the National Assembly..Senators would collect enough bribe to keep delaying it for as long as possible.. Except an executive powers is used to by pass these reforms... Issues regarding Health Like Doctors and other health workers should be looked into.... What we need is transparency and Leaders who Love the People indeed.. sincerely we need these ones. Nothing thrives in an atmosphere of insecurity, it's just that those men and women in those forces and units are not properly trained and motivated. Men in Uniform securing the nation should actually be rated higher than the rest of us, some privileges much more than money that they will not want to lose and therefore protect the badge with all in them, and outright dismissal and loss of those privileges for any one of them that misbehaves. A well trained and motivated FRSC, NSCDC and NPF are all needed for us to have a sane society and yes they should operate as different units. Internally they can coordinate a synergy of their operations in some cases |

He should create an atmosphere for businesses to create employment, he should leave unemplyment benefits for now, you use your policies to send businesses away, make life difficult for startups, then u say u are giving unemployment benefit, weyrey government
The unemployment money he wants to use to bribe conscience of people should be used to clear farmlands across the country, build irrigation systems, storage facilities, roads to those farm settlements, create farm markets and create food export channel |

Politics › Re: Oronsaye Report: Reduce The Size Of Your Cabinet Too, Adegboruwa Tells Tinubu by obaidan: 2:35pm On Feb 27, 2024 |
GUNITGuy: That's another austerity cuts coming ....Most people Don't understand the implications of that reports .... Reductions in many many Ministries and Parastatals would also lead to unemployment for many Breadwinners .... BAT should tread sofly just as how he yielded to the voice of Subsidy and Floating naira .....He should organize his policy no matter how austere to be done in such a way that there's some form of Leverage on those who would bare the effects negatively.... Nigeria is going through a wonderful phase with the right Leadership and good will it would overcome not a fan of Tinubu at all, but this cut is needed. most of those things were merged not scrapped, the major cut will come from cost of running the leadership and management of those agencies... no need for plenty PAs and TAs and SAs and SSAs that those agencies are spending money to maintain(u dont want to know the amount of money these agencies are spending on these officers), no need for many DGs, no need for many Headquarters, those agencies have board members that cash out a lot of money, those agencies have senators and honorables performing oversight on them, which is an avenue for those lawmakers to demand bribe from them. Better coordination and synergy in some cases. maybe expansion of Agric ministry is necessary and people surplus to requirements in other ministries should be posted to the Ministry of Agric |

brain54: Double edged sword...
Many will loose their jobs.
If you ask me... The pros outweigh the cons.
I only wish President Tinubu can do more to cushion the effects of the implementation! If the people running government know what they are doing, nobody should be losing their jobs, people should be made to be productive. There's so much work to be done. The ministry of Agriculture should be expanded and many useless people should be posted to that ministry. Ministry of Agric should have operational offices in all the 36 states, post all the useless workers there, they should go and coordinate the resurgence of the economy through agriculture. Anybody that does not want should collect his/her gratuity and walk away, make government employ people wey ready dey productive. Sacrifices have to be made. |
