afam4eva: In an ideal Nigeria, that line of thought should be encouraged but not as we have it right now.
Nigeria is far from ideal and from all indications can never tend towards being ideal.
So any Igbo that still have that line of thought is a complete efulefu.

Onlytruth: So, hear me loud and clear, going by Nigeria's past, IT IS HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE FOR ANY IGBO TO SAY THAT HE DOES NOT CARE WHETHER WE PRODUCE A PRESIDENT OR NOT OR WHERE THE NEXT PRESIDENT WOULD COME FROM (I used to think like that, but I have since dropped that mindset too). Please quote me on that.
It is a disease in Igboland that has been with us since Zik's time.
It is called efulefuism.

Beaf: I know it isn't easy to be a winsh (and a foolish one at that), so I really feel sorry for you and others unfortunate enough to be like you; liars, losers, freaks, vultures and rumour mongers.

What sort of IQ does one need to recognise the stup!dity in a claim that someone accepted an Anglican church as a bribe?
I think one would need to be more stup!d than a stone not to see the senselessness in such a statement. I see that you are set to break all records sha.

Carry go! Nutin do you, foolishness na talent and winsh na work. grin grin grin
The church concerned is, St. Stephen's Anglican Church Otuoke. Now, go help yourself and decrease your id!ot score.

I have no further use for this thread, so if you wish to carry on with your winsh carnnival, then hey! its your call.

Well, I am already very proud of her. Win or lose, she has made Nigeria proud. cool
If she gets it, then my theory would be complete. smiley

I actually have the feeling that Obama wants her to be the President of the World Bank, hence his nomination of an unsuitable candidate.

EducationRe: JAMB University Enrolment Figures Are Shocking? by Obiagu1(m):
@ musiwa, does it mean that Yorubas do not help themselves?
I know it's very rare in Igboland to hear that someone could not go to school because he couldn't afford the money to buy JAMB or WAEC form. If you tell one or two of your uncles, you'll get the money to buy those forms. No one wants to hear that you did not go to school because you could not buy JAMB form; the only reasons they want to hear is that you didn't go to school because you either failed or dropped out by yourself.
EducationRe: JAMB University Enrolment Figures Are Shocking? by Obiagu1(m):
Onlytruth: Exactly! Honestly I strongly believe that Imo state is being undercounted population-wise somehow. My statistical hunch tells me that the state is actually more populous than it is being credited with.
These figures are powerful.
The gap between Imo and Anambra (in enrollment) is almost 40,000; yet Anambra is about 1.8 times the population of Imo (per the official population figures!).
I know that Anambra is not as education minded as Imo, but not by that much. Honestly I don't know any Anambra kid THESE DAYS that is not sitting for JAMB even if there is no money to pay for the university. Before it used to be that kids just chose trading, but these days, they would pursue education first before returning to trading.
What the published figures say is that Imo kids are about 4 times more likely to enrol for JAMB than Anambra kids. I honestly don't believe that.
This shouldn't have surprised you; all Imo people do is school. Anambra is either second or third in number of enrolment in Nigeria every year which is good. We are more balanced, everyone must not go to school which has helped us cool
To account for Anambra huge population,go to Abuja, Lagos, Kano, the majority of Igbos there are from Anambra.

I'll like to say that Anambra is not 1.8 times more populous than Imo; that Wiki statistics has been tempered with.
Anambra population (2006) = 4,182,032
Imo population (2006) = 3,934,899

So Imo is almost as populous as Anambra.
CultureRe: I'm Canadian, He's Igbo And His Family May Disown Him. Help! by Obiagu1(m):
@ Onemela, ask your man to tell you his mind. No one can disown him; it's even hard for a father to disown a child not to talk of an uncle. He's simply lying to you.
If he's not interested in marrying you, don't force him because he won't. Maybe he is only interested in friendship.

ismhab: By the grace of God the new usman dan fodio will clean and islamized Nigeria.
Hahaha, why give the new Danfodiyo big task when he can easily islamize Arewa Republic?
He'll be in a good position to clean Arewa as much as he wants and even islamize Arewa more the Saudi, after that a new Mecca would be created in his name in Arewa.

Allah bless Islamic Republic of Arewa.

Ninapha: I think you are more naive than anyone can imagin. What do consider the essence of community Development (CD) in the NYSC scheme. See how myopic and insensitive most of us reason. Where is home and what is Charity?
Oh really! It's interesting to know that those that serve in the East could not source enough fund to put up signposts.
Is CD compulsory? Why are others not making good of use of the CD program in their region of deployment?

I've been fooled in this country for so long I now know how it works.
PoliticsRe: South East Nigeria Needs Three International Airports by Obiagu1(m): 3:51pm On Mar 30, 2012
Onlytruth: Yes we do my brother.
Look at it this way. We have THREE development zones in Igboland if you look carefully. There is the Enugu/Nsukka/Abakaliki axis; there is the Anambra/Anioma/Awka/Nnewi axis; then there is the Owerri/Aba/Umuahia/Okigwe/Arochukwu, and Northern Rivers state axis.
Now, like I said before, we (Anambra) can partner with Delta state to upgrade Asaba into a beffiting international airport to serve Anambra state as well. Enugu should become an international airport immediately (I don't think it is yet, if you see any proof please share it with us here, thanks), and Owerri should be upgraded. I cannot say that PH should serve Owerri area because of distance. It is not like Asaba and Onitsha.
I believe that Enugu is an emerging industrial and tourist city, Onitsha is a center of commerce, while Owerri is also an emerging tourist city with Aba as the undisputed center of production and commerce there too. Igboland is really a tripod of sorts. cool
You have a point but in my opinion, a maximum of 2 will be enough. Enugu International Airport could serve both Onitsha and Asaba, a mere 1 hour drive. PH could serve Owerri or vise versa (1 Hour drive). What we need are standard international airports and roads.
We may have as many domestic and cargo airports as possible but international airport in a different thing except you want every state to have an international airport.
PoliticsRe: The Story Of Ime Anwana, A Female Corp Member That Put Our Leaders To Shame! by Obiagu1(m): 3:06pm On Mar 30, 2012
In my opinion, she is naive or trying to be a "heroine". What about similar schools in Akwa Ibom or are there none like that?
Why waste the money in a state that produced two heads of state?

I commend her for her good heart which should have been a gold standard but similar things are not done in the East by those serving there.
Charity begins at home!
