PoliticsRe: New Face Of Fegge in Onitsha South Government, Anambra State(video) by Objectivist04: 3:54pm On Mar 23, 2024
Unbiased1:
I told a friend this same stuff some months back. Onitsha has the buildings to make it one of Nigeria's most beautiful cities if only the landlords can repaint their houses as the government is fixing the inner roads. Go to YouTube and view the aerial shots of Amsterdam and Zurich in Netherlands and Sweden, they don't have skyscrapers, majority of the houses are 5 storey houses that are well painted with decent roads and sidewalks. Onitsha has similar features. Thank God the governor is actively fixing all the inner roads, the landlords should repaint their buildings and watch how Onitsha will wear a new look. Better still, the governor should make a law for every house owner to repaint his/her house every 5 years.
The problem is not the landlords but the government, in alaigbo , individuals have done Thier bit but it is government that is failing.
If roads in Onitsha and awada are done with coverd drainage with good markings and street light how on earth will anybody be comparing Onitsha with Ibadan or even any other city outside south east except Lagos and Abuja.

We have the moist productive citizens in south east with the worst government while other parts of Nigeria have the worst citizens in terms of productivity but more active government.
If you doubt me, Soludo was in Ibadan to flag of a road, you will notice that that particular road that Makinde flagged off will be more sufisticated than roads CCS has been constructing in Anambra but ironically in the middle of mud houses with rusted roofs.

Good day everyone, pls l repoted an issue l am having with Meristern with regards to my Fbnh shares about a couple of weeks ago, advice was given and followed but unfortunately they have not credited my shares fully to my account, infact whenever I call the receptionist will tell me that registrars are busy that l should call later. The guy that attends to me with the name Femi no longer please picks my calls and neither do they respond to my mails.

For those who don't know the crust of the matter.
I bought 10k units of Fbnh during their IPO in 2007 and handed the certificate including that of my first bonus (200k) units to my stockbroker ( Transglobe investment) I did not care to follow up because I am not a trader and neither do I knew much about the stock market, just following the rave of the moment.
Years later when I wanted to sell the shares l was told that Transglobe has gone underground and that l have to open account with another stockbroker so I can move my shares of which l did with Morgan capital.

After applying for share transfer, Morgan informed me that my share were not registered with CSCS and that l have to apply for dematerialization which I did.
Two weeks ago, l received a call from a staff o Morgan capital informing me that my shares has been successfully credited to my CSCS account but I was shocked when he told me that I have 3905 units instead of 18045.
When I reached out to Meristern to complain they told me that it is what they have with them, I tried to let them know that I have been receiving dividends based on 18045 I even mailed to them the screenshot of a mail they sent to me two years ago after an enquiry, informing me that I have 18045 units but still they could not do anything.

I started calling them frequently and they told me they are looking into it, it has been 2 weeks now and there is no feedback from them . Even if they have given me the number of my initial investment it would have been more understandable but 3905 units ? I just can wrap my head on how they came about that figure.
.I have even copied CSCS and NSE while mailing them but still they did not respond.

Hope you remembered how ODI was leveled in 1999 , maybe you were still a baby then,
Soldiers on a revenge mission massacred inhabitants of ODI community after milltants killed some police men in ODI. ODI incident also recorded mass rape of your women there.
Ten years later in 2009 Sunday sun on a special focus on the story wrote that fatherless children roam ODI ten years after. The paper also supported their story with pictures of soldiers having canal knowledge of young ladies in what is popular known as doggy style. Of a particular interest to me is a picture of a soldier (obviously an aboki) about to rape a lady with a plastic kettle used to wash his joystick by the side.

I am criticizing as an Igbo man not based on the state l am from, the way I detail things should tell you that I am conversant with Anambra and her governance.

Envious mind I wonder why governors in your state find it so difficult to construct rural roads in your state

This is ongoing dualisation of roads in Anambra by Gov Soludo
You see what we are saying,, so you are not ashamed to post this unizik temp site as a double lane ? It is clear that you are stocked in Anambra since your life but I will advise you to just try and cross the bridge to Asaba which is the nearest city to you so you can see how backward these governors have set you.

How can one in 21st century do a tiny road, then use 9x6 inch block to demarcate it at the center and call it dual carriage ? Is that how roads were built in Dubai and Taiwan ?

Anambra deserves better.

The headquarter of tiny roads .
Building roads in Anambra is the easiest thing any government can do because firstly, the roads won't be much long as the state is small
In landmass, then secondly the roads will always be tiny. So littering short , tiny substandard roads all over the state is an easy feat to achieve and that is why people are clapping for ngige and Obi.

In 2009, Obi constructed nibo , Nise Enugu Ukwu road , by 2010 president Jonathan was on official visit to Anambra and Obi had to drag him to commission the less than 10km tiny road he constructed. One or two days to the commissioning date, workers were seen patching the potholes that have appeared on the road !! grin

Oga, it means it will start from Calabar to PH. From PH to Enugu and Straight to Abuja. It can go straight to Abuja from Enugu unless they want to bend it to Makurdi or Lokoja. But Enugu straight to Abuja makes more sense. Look at the map well and also along the line, they may connect other cities but the main focus city point is Calabar-PH-Enegu-Ab

The reason people go through Makurdi before going to Abuja when coming from the east is that Nigeria does not have roads and highways. Ideally, a good country will have different extensive roads linking different cities but Nigeria doesn't have such. A country like Nigeria is supposed to have another highway from connection PH through to Enegu to Nsukka and straight to Abuja without going a distance way to Makurdi to Lafia before going to Abuja. So for the railroad, it doesn't have to go that direction like driving. I hope I am making sense.
Jonathan started that road in 2013, it is called Ogrute, Akpanya , ldah Odolu road but was abandoned halfway due to corruption and unseriousness of that administration.

The road is 50 to 60% completed and the contractor PW still maintain their site

I think from pH to Enugu or cross River, you will have to pass imo or Abia
So I think the line Will run from pH to Abia, then another line will run from Calabar to Aba
Where the 2 lane meets will follow the normal pH-Aba-Enugu route up to markudi, straight to Abuja
In that case it will have no business going through markurdi or benue at all . Lokoja would be the shortest route but they should be ready to construct so many bridges both across river Niger and river benue including other rivers.

PoliticsRe: Southern Senators Revive Forum, Appoint Abiru As Chairman by Objectivist04: 7:52pm On Mar 13, 2024
seunmsg:
Senators from the southern part of the country have revived their forum.

They met for the first time on the platform of the Southern Senators Forum to inaugurate the forum nine months after the inauguration of the 10th Assembly.

The 51 senators from the 17 southern states, met and elected six executives under the Chairmanship of Senator Adetokunbo Abiru (APC Lagos East).

Other members of the executives are: Vice Chairman, Senator Victor Umeh (Labour Party, Anambra Central), Secretary, Senator Mpigi Barinada ( PDP, Rivers South East), Publicity Secretary, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong ( APC, Cross River North ) and Treasurer, Senator Kenneth Eze ( APC Ebonyi Central).

Addressing the forum at the inaugural meeting, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, said the forum has been in existence since the 9th Senate and not a newly formed forum.

He said his current position as Leader of the 10th Senate prevented him from providing the required leadership, which has necessitated the change of leadership which took place at the meeting .

The Senate leader said, “What is happening here today is not new as both the Southern and Northern Senators’ fora existed even before this 10th Senate.

“At this meeting of the Southern senators, new executive members will be announced to steer the affairs of the forum.

“The new chairman as unanimously agreed by Southern Senators is Senator Adetokunbo Abiru ( APC Lagos East) , Vice Chairman, Senator Victor Umeh (Labour Party , Anambra Central) , Secretary , Senator Mpigi Barinada ( PDP Rivers South East) , Publicity Secretary, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong (APC Cross River North ) and Treasurer , Senator Kenneth Eze ( APC Ebonyi Central).”

Accepting his appointment as the new leader of the forum, Abiru said the forum would serve as a veritable platform for discussing, analysing and dissecting national issues by Southern senators for the purpose of moving Nigeria forward.

He added that they would partner with the Northern Senators Forum to move the country forward.

Abiru said, “This forum, the Southern Senators Forum is to champion the course of Nigeria and Nigerians. We have our Northern brothers with the Northern Senators Forum. We will work together with the Northern Senators Forum to move the country forward.

“We will swing into action and roll out our plans for the betterment of the region and Nigeria. We will map out our plans and work on them for the betterment of Nigeria and Nigerians generally.”

When asked by our correspondent why it took the forum nine months before its inauguration and if it had anything to do with what transpired in the plenary on Tuesday, Abiru said it had nothing to do with it.

He said, “No, it doesn’t have anything to do with what happened at the plenary yesterday. The last leadership headed by the leader of the Senate is just transferring their powers and responsibilities to us.

“We have been running, it’s not like we haven’t existed, what we just have now is a change of leadership because our former leader is now the leader of the Senate.

“So, what we had today is a change of leadership and we will follow in line with the direction they have given us. It’s continuity and we will all work together.”

Lol, their major reason for the delay was rain, saying that they want rain to stop before they start work because they want to do quality works but we are not seeing the quality works

Even Gburugburu hit the ground running immediately he was sworn in and delivered quality projects within first few months in office.

Note that I am using Gburugburu as an example because he was adjudged as the worst governor since 1999.

Amechi flyover is a major road
Idaw river road is a major road meant to evacuate traffic from Agbani road
College road is a major road, infact this is the only completed work from this administration that I have seen and there is nothing to cheer about it, asphalted be looking black, rough finishing with no markings.
Just look at the completed roads at coal camp , they lack esthetics,. Ugwuanyi's roads are finer than these not to talk about Sullivan.
