So those pictures look fine to you. See how the whole place scatter scatter and look disorganized with winding roads and you are calling it fine. No wonder Nigerian leaders use your brains to play draft.
What then will you say when you see nnewi, abakpa is a well planned city with nice roads, most of them currently under construction.
As l am talking to you businesses are trooping to Abakpa, we have chicken republic about two years ago, Roban stores last year, crunchiest last year, the biggest importer of mini bus came last year and you think such a place is a slum ?

AsomughaChuks05:
I don't know if Abakpa is bigger than Obiagu but they are the most populated slums in Enugu. Truth is that apart from Independence layout where the government house is and politicians live, the rest of Enugu is unplanned and full of slums. We are just covering the city as old capital of eastern region. But you still see Enugu people attacking Anambra state that is far ahead of them as if Anambra people are their problem. Ever since Anambra state built its own airport, you hardly see Anambra industrialists going to set up anything in Enugu. Currently, there are close to ten medium scale factories being built-in different parts of Anambra state and more are in the pipeline, that may be the cause of envy by these Anambra haters.
Lol you posted a well planned area and call it slum, as am typing massive work is going on in many streets in abakpa.
Don't worry I will post nnewi the so called millionaire village let's compare it with abakpa, l haven't even talk about okpoko , and for your information, na Anambra people full abakpa since una no wan get sense

I think this is a welcome development, that is the easiest way to reach those that need the money, after those with bank account has been settled, the government should device a means to reach those with no bank account who are in the minority.

grin How much was basic salary at that time.?!
Are you trying to justify the astronomous increase or what,. I know that 42 years is a long period of time but an amount that can buy 1200 bags being only able to buy half bag today is unacceptable.

The minimum wage of that time can buy 19 bags now the present minimum wage of 30k can only manage 2 bags , so what else
PoliticsCheck Out This Cement Price In 1981 (photo) by Objectivist04(op): 8:53pm On Feb 20, 2024
In 1981 a relation bought 1200 bags of cement (2 trailers ) for 7800 naira only, unfortunately 42 years down the line the amount can only buy half bag of cement.

Tinubu why ?
This is painful indeed

All you wrote here are lies , let me burst them.

I went to benue for the first time as a boy, in ldoma part of benue, prior to that l used to hear about the Biafran war from my parents and others but I never understood what it means nor how the war was fought .
I didn't knew who was Nigeria or Biafra in that war but when I got to benue state, my age mates from that side who were still reveling in the Nigeria victory made me know what actually took place then, they won't size any opportunity to recount to you how Gowon 's superior fire power overcame that of Ojukwu.
These are stories that were passed by their fathers who were mostly ex soldiers, it became a past time mockery for these boys against me as an lgbo boy.

No 2 lie is that you claimed that benue soldiers could not resist joining other soldiers in the war but that is a big lie as most benue foot soldiers in that war were enlisted purposely for the war. There are lots of benue young men who willingly joined the army just to fight biafrans.

Another lie is that IPOB has killed more lgbos than number of benue killed by Fulanis. I put it to you that Fulani has killed more benue indigens n just one year than all the killings in the south east for the past three years . There has never been a mass burial in south east but mass burial is being recorded in benue almost on monthly basis.

You guys are very delusional, Fulanis are slaughtering you with the tacit support of the yorubas but the igbos are your problem.

I a from Plateau and I have been talking for quite a long while now. There are many who also comment but do not draw attention to their identities or state of origins. Your generalisations are flawed. So many active people here sounding warnings and probing the genocidal situations as well. Those may not always make the frontpage but they are there.
Let it be in the south east or south west and see how the issue will be treated, am not saying that Fulani killings are not taking place in these regions o but killing over hundred at a go in any of these regions will definitely see the end of the country because the retaliation that will follow will be akin to Rwanda genocide. This is just the advantage of being minority.

The only tribe that fit those Fulani herdsmen is Igbos. UGM, ESN, IPoB, BLM are praying for them to come so they can taste their shooting skill. Benue people need to join ESN or start paying tribute to them for their protection. Since dey are too lazy to protect themselves. Let them hire ESN to protect them!
.pls leave igbos or ASN out of this, Benue people should protect themselves or run to south east as refugees.

What is happening in benue state does not concern us, simple as that. Don't creat additional enemity to igbos abeg.

The way these benuans were escaping Thier villages is exactly the way our parent escaped during the war in the sixties as a result of asult by other Nigerians including benue idigens that played prominent role in that war.
Today, ldoma are trooping out of their community to live as refugees in other communities.
Tivs are also moving out of their homes to live in a refugee camp.

Nigeria is a real fourth world country o

Look at how the whole town looks like 18th century American village sad

What a pathetic ZOO of a country! Tueh!
No be small, I first went to Ugbokpo in January 1992 then as a boy in company of an adult on our way to Oshigbudu in Agatu.
Then Apa local government was newly created out of Otukpo and Ugbokpo was made the headquarter, what struck me about the village then was the presence of electricity in such a village that was newly made a local government headquarter whereas my own local government which is older (since 1976) and more developed has no electricity not even at the headquarter.

Now over 30 years letter l am disappointed seeing Ugbokpo looking like a pigstry, my local government has advanced with many tared roads, electricity, hotels and other forms of development.

Is there anything am missing here ? I early saw Dangote in company of Dapo Abiodun, AIG lmokohde, and co paying condolence, later Pat Utomi posted him own picture of condolence and Dangote appeared as well, then we saw Wike' visit and Dangote was also in the picture.
Now the picture of Obi's visit is here and Dangote is sitting ryt beside him.
My question is, has Dangote relocated permanently to Wigwe's house ? Our people said that if you weep too much over your girlfriend's demise , you will become a suspect.

I hope it is not what am thinking.

IF PETER MBAH TRY IT, THE ENTIRE IGBO YOUTHS WILL BE UP IN ARMS AGAINST HIM!

THEY SHOULD GO TO NIGER STATE WHICH HAS TWICE THE LAND MASS OF SOUTHEAST AND SETUP THEIR RANCHES!

or better still, they can go to ONDO which has more land than the entire southeast and setup their ranch! after all, fulani and yorubas are brothers.
When the man was declared governor l knew that something like this will happen reason being that he is deep into northern ass..
What many people don't know is that Peter Mba is not the owner of Pinnacle Oil, he is only fronting for Ado Sanusi the Emir of Bichi or do you think he doesn't know the backlash that awaits him over such policy ? If Tinubu is suffering karma for dishonoring his predecessors as you said, isn't it right to say Mr karma is using the person you quoted to pay Tinubu back ?

You mean the liquor shop is owned by a Muslim ? How can this be possible, can he sell without sampling ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Excitement As Saudi Arabia Legalises Public Sale Of Alcohol by Objectivist04: 2:42pm On Feb 11, 2024
ShoeGetSize:
In a surprising turn of events, the conservative streets of Riyadh, the capital city, witnessed the grand opening of "Desert Spirits," the first-ever alcohol shop in Saudi Arabia. The air buzzed with a mix of curiosity and skepticism as locals, adorned in traditional attire, gathered to explore this novel venture.

Owned by a forward-thinking entrepreneur Ahmed Al-Mansoori, the shop boasts of a carefully curated selection of international and local spirits, all compliant with the newly introduced regulations allowing the sale of alcoholic beverages to non-Muslim expatriates.

As the doors swung open, the scent of incense mingled with the aroma of aged whiskies and exotic liqueurs, creating an atmosphere both unprecedented and surreal. A symbol of shifting norms, "Desert Spirits" sparked conversations about cultural evolution, reflecting the changing dynamics within the Kingdom.
You mean the liquor shop is owned by a Muslim ? Is that allowed
However even though the shop will be open only to non-Muslim diplomats, many hardline members of Saudi Arabia's council of Islamic scholars fear that it is first step to wider availability of alcohol in the kingdom.

And some people had erroneously being pointing fingers at the innocent FULANIs up north. They always aspire for enemity between the YORUBAs and the NORTHERNERS. Kudos to the Yoruba who are always patient and calculative as nothing good can be achieved with rash decision borne out of emotions but regret.
You are right, I hate it when some people provide alibi for Yoruba criminals by pointing accusing fingers on Fulanis.
When a crime is committed in the east, the yorubas will taunt lgbos for killing themselves but if the same crime is committed in the west, the Igbos instead of towing the same line in a reciprocal manner will begin to accuse the Fulanis of killing Yorubas and thereby creating additional enemity to themselves and making it look as if Yorubas are saints who don't commit crime against one another.

I think it is high time lgbos leave Fulanis out of what is going on in south west

This roads are eyesore to say the least, look at how dirty the roads are looking with open drainages and no sidewalks. No greenery, this is 2024 and we are still constructing roads like this, when are we expecting to use our sense and do something like humans. Looks like in the next 100 years, we still not be developed at all. Don't these politicians see how things are done in other small African countries, I'm sure that many of then goes on vacation to western countries and they love how things are done there but they can't do quarter of what they see over there. Not even road markings, the coal tars are looking very dirty. Our SE leaders have poor taste when it comes to project executions
I agree with you on our south east leaders but this is a local government chairman, you should endeavor to criticize constructively.
You expect him to cover drainages when even governors are not doing so , again you want him to plant some greenery when houses are on both sides of the roads, so he should be demolishing the houses for greenery abi ? Mind you these are inner roads that he constructed in his home town Eden Nike, he did a neat work , you don't expect him to be sweeping the road , we should try to appreciate someone when he makes an effort

The road leading to the local government headquarter has enough space for beautifcation and the man beautified it with interlocked concrete and trees.

We should not always condemn , his predecessors did absolutely nothing but this guy is working and you are there condemning his efforts. Maybe you should show us the projects done by your own LG Chairman .
I am not from the local government though but when I see good thing I will appreciate because it is not easy under this corrupt system.
