Mba is really working, he is operating at Sullivan level ei constructing roads with pedestrian walk ways but with open gutters. Note that Ugwuanyi took us years back from Sullivan era by constructing roads with no pedestrian walk ways and no street light . We are looking forward to move above Sullivan era though |
This is an election LP worn free and fair but just that INEC made a mistake by not adding APC logo to the ballot paper, a rerun was ordered . Now the same INEC that caused the LP guy to loose his hard fought victory are now conniving with the opposition to rob the real winner even after going through another circle of camping. People have no conscience, SMH |
This is real no gree for anybody, the guy shouting DPO carry our ballot box na really area em be. The shout even make Oga DPO confused. Tomorrow this one will also come and fight crime in the society Nigeria is a huge crime scene SMH |
Who noticed that in the quarter final, former champions were paired with none former champions and former champions successfully eliminated none former champions without exception. Among the none former champions that were eliminated in the quarter finals, none has ever made it to the semis except Mali . Among the former champions, only Nigeria has won more than once (three times) What it means is that by 11th of February 2024 one of these former champions will increase her winning tally |
There is this novel I read over 20 years ago unfortunately I don't know the name because the copy I read had already lost its cover. A very interesting novel that I would like to read again. The main character is a boy called Api aka Api lke, an orphan . One of his friends is chukwuma and the setting is in Port Harcourt. Pls I need someone who have read the novel to tell me the name, I read it around the year 2000. |
BrutusOj:I support you but don't make this tribal, I hope. you could remember when Adenuga buried his mother many years ago, also just about last week we saw the burial of that twelve years old boy that died two years ago, after ingesting some substance from his cultists colleague in a Lagos private school. The burial took place in Delta state and when I saw the flamboyancy, I shook my head. So it is a southern thing while the Tivs of benue are worse overall. |
CockPit:Am telling you, no be small thing Anambra and Tiv people of benue state are the same when it comes to worshipping and adoring the corpse |
BoldBrainz:There is a sea burial |
fawaz050:But the same prophet's body was left unburied for three days |
fawaz050: |
Calitoscassius: |
Calitoscassius:You are not being sincere you know, the feeling you have when you see a coffin s it the same feeling you have when you see a table, chair, music instruments and wine ? Let's call a spade a spade Soludo is right on this law . Left for me, each community should have a local coffin maker who will make a coffin once death occurs not this open displaying of coffins. The day l passed Regina celi road I had an eery feeling seeing a big plaza being used for coffin sales alone. Quite disgusting |
[quote author=arinzos post=128248342]When the family is not ready. There are some things that should be in place before burial.[/quot Am I missing something ? So one can not burry the dead immediately and fix funeral on later date ? I thought funeral is an essential part of our culture, so when did we integrate taking bodies to the morgue as part of that culture |
Dafresh:If you loose a loved one and you don't have money, what you do is to burry the corpse , whenever money comes you will do the funeral ceremony (akwam ozu) you don't need to keep the body in the mortuary for months. . |
immortalcrown:I rushed the thread thinking that the government is serious not knowing that it is a nonsense law, if the penalty for keeping corpse for more than two months is 100k , a lot of people will willingly break the law and pay the paltry 100k. Soludo need to be more stringent in this law. The only thing Anambra people celebrate is funeral, you hardly hear about any wedding when you live among them, only funeral with coffins being displayed everywhere like Regina celi road in Awka and the other side close to markurdi park in Onitsha, these practices are very disgusting to me particularly. In my community depositing corpeses in morgues are gradually phasing out as people burry their dead same day . Communities should have a local coffin maker who takes measurements and fabricates a coffin once dead occurs instead of this open displaying of coffins iof ifferent grades and sizes. Everybody who died in a particular community should be buried with same coffin afterall death is an equalizer. |
JONSYN7154:Agatu loca Government was carved out of Otukpo some years ago l guess, when I was in that area in the 90s those places used to be Otukpo local government. |
Top1gun:Your wailing just started You don't tell a man how to run his business |
3ice9ce:So when Obasanjo won the entire south east in 2003 against Ojukwu we in the east are all fool. The intolerance of Yoruba nation is on another level. Tufiakwa. Too tribalistic |
komzy589:He came third, must he win at once? How many times did your Buhari Contest before he finally won , PDP should support Obi not the other way round |
komzy589:That is not the crust of the matter, he or you talked about the fear other tribes have against the Igbos and I just proved him wrong with facts, As for giving Obi 97% that is how we have been voting since 1999, you guys should stop clutching on the straw, GEJ and Atiku are not Igbos but got almost same percentage for south east, if we could do it for other tribes why not our own ? |
I always add Rivers to states won by lp. Tinubu a Yoruba man coming to Rivers to defeat a popular Igbo man in a free and fair contest would have been the eighth wonder of the world. Not even ten Wikes would have pulled it through without rigging. Am disappointed in Obi's counsel for not being able to prove such open maleficence |
Ijaws , ljaws ljaws everytime. Who does these people think they are self |
iswallker:I wonder oo, they have shifted attention from Igbos, it is now benue. If the bride price is too much for you pls marry from your tribe or village, l don't think there is scarcity of women anywhere in this country. Enough of this nonsense |
Elsudani2:My brother, that was my fear, Nigerian media ought to have blacklisted this news so as not to give an insight to our brothers from the other side on a new business opportunity. The balance of trade in that region will soon be positive given the massive export they are to embark upon. Akeredolu's family should bury him inside his sitting room o, l don't want to hear story that touches |
EreluRoz:But una dey womanize , have girlfriends even as bachelors, in that case your parents did not do the job 100% . Alcohol is not a social vice , drunkness, drugs , immorality are |
excanny:You reason like mumu,. Obi won election in Nasarawa, plateu, cross river, Delta , Rivers and Lagos, came very close in benue if not for Allia's popularity and you are still saying the fear of other tribes ? You people like to reason upside down. |
I am still confused over Akeredolu's place of death. The day his death was announced, it was said that he died in a private hospital in Lagos and that gov Babajide Sanwolu visited him while in the hospital. These is a report from a reputable news agency oo Secondly immediately his death was announced, sympathizers started thronging his lbadan home to commiserate with the family and we saw the widow, children and brother receiving visitors. Now my question is does it means those who were with him in Germany arrived Nigeria less than 24 hours after his demise or none of his close relative traveled with him to Germany ? |
Kingosytex:. That is wrong, l followed queen Elizabeth's funeral rite from beginning to end both on BBC and Aljezsra and they never used the word "gasket" for once, what they kept mentioning was "coffin" eg " the queen's coffin arrived London few hours ago, the queen's coffin will be escorted by senior members of the royal family to The Westminster " etc , lf the queen is not an elite then I don't know who is , and again the language belongs to them and they are in better position to know when to use coffin or gasket. |
Nice2023:Thank you my brother, I lived 10 years in the north, and noticed that the Hausa Muslims pair likes with likes during marriage, if you are a cripple, they pair you with a cripple of opposite sex, if you are blind, they find a blind person of opposite sex for you. The rich don't want to have anything to do with the poor and l Begin to ask " when will the poor and the afflicted get out of their predicament under this system" ? |
Lanre1979:Late marriage is not because of high cost of marriage but some prefer to make money before going into marriage because they believe marriage will reduce their hustling capability. Just as l said poor people marry daily in lgbo land, stop crying over what does not concern you. Keke drivers are getting married to female graduates here. When they give you expensive list, it might be because you are a total stranger. Know this and know peace |
