Do you mean that he has not been campaigning in Yoruba dominated areas?,i think you made this statenent out of hatered or ignorance

It is very wise for us to think before we say things,what if Agbeje wins Lagos state and Igbos were not drown in lagoon since power belongs to God and people in a democratic settings such as ours,that means Oba Akiolu will now become a bastard,it will now be evident that he was not born by his father and if he still occupies the stool,that means the Yorubas will have a bastard as their Oba.

A close female friend of mine confided in me that her fiance wants to pay for her bride price and do other traditional rights. But he wants her to first have babies now because of her age. She is in her late 30s but she says she does not want to have her babes out of wedlock, Dat none of her sisters did dat and its against her doctrine but the man insists he doesn't have money for wedding now so they should first start making kids before marriage so it doesn't get difficult when she gets older.

I see nothing wrong in making babies after traditional marriage after all you can't do white wedding without the traditional one,having said that,your hubby can minimize the wedding expensise by cutting his coat according to his pocket,i.e inviting few persons,he might even opt for court wedding and invite few friend for reception but do you think that it makes sense for your hubby to use the money that he will use to put food on your table for wedding?,your insistance on wedding might make him see you as a selfish fellow own to the fact that he told you his predicament.I think we make things difficult for ourselves,think since your acknowledged that age is not on your side.

Unidentified arsonists, the Baptist Church at Gidan Maso village in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State has been set ablaze and the residence of the Pastor, Rev Habila Garba, burnt by irate youths.

During the incident which happened on April 1 at about 7:30 pm, one of the Pastor’s daughters died of suffocation and most parts of the house destroyed as a result of the fire.

The President of “Tarayyar Masihiyawan Nijeria” (Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri Christians), General Ishaku Ahmed Dikko (retd), told journalists on Tuesday in Abuja that the intention was to kill one youth, Yahaya Joshua, who converted to Islam but later on reverted back to Christianity.

The Baptist Church at GIDAN MASO village of Rogo LGA in Kano State was set on fire by youths of the Village on 01 April, 2015 at about 7:30 pm. The Church and all the properties were burnt down in the presence of the Christian Community despite all pleadings for them to stop the destruction. The arsonists gathered cornstalks and put inside the Church in order to cause greater damage. This made the action to seem deliberate and for ulterior motives.

The Christians present exhibited great Christian qualities by not taking the law into their hands by trying to stop them by force. Rather than the arsonist to see reason, they were infuriated which led to setting the house of the Pastor, Rev Habila Garba, ablaze as well. As a result of the fire, one of the Pastor’s daughters died of suffocation and most of the house destroyed.

They also attacked and wounded Bawa Adamu and Aminu Dauda, who received machet cuts leading to broken arms. Others received similar wounds but of lesser degrees.

While all these happens and will continue to is that nobody has been made to pay for it.In North,the general believe is that it is lawful to kill or destroy unbelievers (christians) or their property.It will continue to happen untill people in authority starts prosecuting those involved or the village head of the affected community is made to produce the perpetrators.

Truth be told....until JK started his campaign, Lagos didnt have Igbos, Yorubas or Hausas. All she had were Lagosians. The hussles and buzzles...the hard life...the struggle for survival...from the bus conductors..to the bus drivers...passengers...commuters...agbero...bla bla bla...they all spoke a common Lagos language...with the common Lagos sharpness...common Lagos alertness and a common Lagos vision...the vision for a better developed, and peaceful Lagos of greater opportunities. This bond had built their drive for prosperity...from Tinubu to Fashola...working hand in hand with a very ethnic rich cabinet...made of pat utomi, joe igbokwe, ben akabueze, and a host of others, lagosians had always been lagosians. But like I said...that was until JK started his campaign.
Just like PDP is known..taking devilish advantage of our differences... Religious differences on a national level, ethnic differences on a local level..and even academic differences on certain occasions...this has been the hallmark of pdp.
Lagosians should look beyond these difference as always...vote for the party that has always offered the best. Feel free to vote Ambode or JK ... But keep tribal diff out of the way...because at the end of the day...everyone shares the same struggle.

For those who say Fashola repatriated some Igbos...I ask...What abt the mad men repatriated to ibadan? And the beggars sent back to the north. Let us stop seeing things from a tribal perspective.

To some extent i agree with you in your objective analysis but i disagree on the issue of taking advantage,every political party do that because if you remove it there wouldn't be politics.Take APC for instance,they knew that Nigerians are not faring well,they came up with "change",feeding school children twice,paying #5,000 to unemployed youths etc,and it works like magic

1. You do not know the nooks and crannys of a strange land.

2. If wahala start and you are outnumbered as surely you will be, how do you escape.

So since these guys have more to loose in potential income and possible destruction of goods if trouble starts, it is not wise to go against your hosts in any form..it is common sense.

And really the Oba has a point, can his people go across the Niger and start telling their hosts that it is no mans land...take it or leave it, it is really disrespectful and no good can come out of it.

Even other Yoruba tribes that are not indegenes of Lagos know their boundaries and limitations.
