Siberia01: Almost everybody I know wakes up with different bible verses on their social media platforms. You see everybody going to their different places of worship, praying, crying ,dancing , shouting. Alot of others preach repentance.
Then I wonder, how come we have such a corrupt society?
Jobs are meant for a particular church congregation..
If your not a member of the church no job for you
You see politicians in churches and mosques Who are the ones stealing this monies ? I have been trying to analyze our religion and I discovered that there is a fault. I would say our religion has a lot of grace or it's completely deceptive both Muslims and Christians. We need to find the true way of worship that will align to human development and protection. |

If this guy didn't condemn the bad things happening here because he is from the tribe that is benefiting... He may not forgive himself. Godfullsam: Every state should have its own private security like the ESN and the South West security network.
I think it will be more effective if every state should have their own instead of region. The state security network can engage to services of purely trained locals of the state/communities.
FG should also ensure that the commissioner of police in each states should be indegene of the state.
What is Abiodun doing in Niger state as a commissioner of police? They know is the best solution but they are afraid Biafra will set up a strong army from there. In the current Nigeria, they prefer bandits take over the whole country than to allow igbos go. Igbos are the oxygen in Nigeria, if they go, Nigeria is dead |

Politics › Re: Trending On Quora: "Why Are Nigerians Fleeing Nigeria" by occfx: 4:44am On Dec 30, 2023 |
KingOfAmebo: Here's a trending article I read on the world's most popular forum Quora.
"Opportunities once flowed in Nigeria as abundantly as the Niger River, but that narrative has long changed.
Nigerians, known to be resourceful, educated, and fueled by ambition are leaving the shores of their motherland in droves, not in a casual drift but in a frantic exodus.
They're running from a crucible of crises that boils and overflows, leaving a residue of despair with no extinguisher in sight.
A country of numerous resources has become a labyrinth of misfortunes. Governed by the worst of leaders who have weaponized poverty for their selfish interest—that is, when patriotic Nigerians rise to question, and fight, the government, their opponent would be fellow poor Nigerians, fighting tooth and nail for the same politicians who have kept them so.
Nigerians find themselves locked in an ever-intensifying cycle of multi-dimensional problems. From economic chaos to sometimes, unbearable insecurity, the nation's woes accumulate like sediment, each layer more crippling than the last.
The government that the masses put their hopes on as custodian of public interest, has turned the country into a family enterprise, brokering ill-advised deals that mortgage the country’s future. Deals that have dwindled the Naira's value like melting ice.
Petrol prices have soared skyward to three times what they were just months ago, pulling along dreams and ambitions into fury flames.
And yet, our leaders plead for patience in a land where patience has bled dry. With this reality, the rich find their escape routes, seeking refuge in developed countries that offer a semblance of stability, leaving behind poor Nigerians tethered by financial constraints.
The only thing that seems permanent in Nigeria has become the disheartening truth that our yesteryears often outshine our tomorrows. This mass migration of Nigerians isn’t just alarming but frightening—a "brain drain" as it's called, because it's the middle class and skilled Nigerians who are leaving the country in droves.
Those who can no longer wait for the dawn are chasing the sun elsewhere, hoping to find what has become elusive at home— a life of value, a life worth living.
Nigeria has, year after year performed below expectations and for every emigrant, the implication is clear: faith in the motherland has eroded, leaving behind only the skeletal remains of what was once a thriving belief in a shared future that Nigerians can unite and make something out of themselves for the good of everyone who calls Nigeria home."

Yemike: My life have been stagnant for like 4-5 years now. I work in a factory and I also sow clothes. I've not been able to spend money on myself or to pursue my dream as a result of family responsibilities. I'm a drop out of FUOYE and I'll so much love to go back to school but the plan has been failing for 2 years now.
I've obtained a part time form from Adekunle Ajasin University Ibadan campus last month hoping to start the new session next year but my problem now is that I have a brother that just finished HND 1, his rent has expired and he'll pay his school fees this January. I paid his rent and school fees for HND 1 and he has notified me for HND 2. My fear now is that time us running out for me (I'm 27yrs now) as I sincerely wanted to go back to school but I can't sponsor myself and two siblings.
Should I wait for another year or everybody should carry his cross? There is need to be selfish... But do what you can to help siblings and also help yourself. Join the people that needs help. |
Fashion › Re: The African Woman, When? by occfx: 10:39pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Yashita: African/Nigerian women love hair attachments and wigs. I just don’t like putting on my head anything that is not growing naturally from my head.
These Asian women that we see their hair as the world’s standard of beauty carry their natural hair year in year out all through the seasons (winter/summer/spring/fall) taking care of their hairs with their locally made products and never feeling the need to wear wigs to “protect” their hairs during harsh seasons.
In fact, when I get rich, I’d like to start a movement/NGO to help African women emancipate themselves from mental slavery. Our natural Afro hair should be our standard of beauty.
We can research and locally produce hair care products and accessories. Grants would be given to researchers/manufacturers of Afro hair products.
Natural Afro hair stylists will be rewarded from time to time.
Schools and higher institutions will be visited often time to sensitise people/girls/women to embrace their Afro hair and be stylish with it.
There’d be a TV show/program where natural hair carriers would creatively style their hairs and earn like BBN, etc.
When would this start? Nothing trips me like a simple all back or Ghana weaving. Even a simple relaxed hair is romantic especially when it's scattered carefully. I don't know what our women sees in big wigs |

The fact that most of the wifely characteristics i believed sha had was a gimmicks and over the years, she did not improve in appearance, maturity (in terms of how she carries herself) & otherwise. I don't think I'll have a happy marriage with her. Infatuation or the jazz don fade... Beauty is important but not necessaryin marriage. If you were married to her and probably had beautiful kids with her, you won't notice how bad she is because, your children will remind you how beautiful you guys were. 6yrs of course, law of diminishing return has set in |
Food › Re: Tomato Paste Is Not Good For Stew. Finding by occfx: 10:54am On Dec 28, 2023 |
fineboynl: I have been wondering why does my stew don't turn out well no matter how I tried the reason is that I use too much tomato paste due to due to tomoto cost during buhari administration.
This Xmas I just decide to use full tomotos and eliminates impurities like tomato paste. And the stew turns out great 👍. So it was clear the tomato paste products have been the curprit all those while.
The problem now is that how would one cook a pot full of stew with pure tomatoes on a normal day? now that a painter of tomatoes is above 5k. Buhari did it..he championed the curse and some efulefus are missing the idiot here. I have noticed the same thing... I just feel sorry for our vital organs. Notfogotten: Please I have a question to ask.
I don't want to go into details so my partner doesn't trace this to me.
My partner came to UK before me, though still on student visa. I joined her with my 3 children one months ago.
I have noticed some red flags which never happened while we where in Nigeria and I was footing the bills alone.
Each red flag, I pretend nothing happened because I don't want to be thrown out like the man I read about on social media.
My visa is dependent on hers and we are still on student visa.
My question, in the event that we get papers to stay permanently in UK and one day she decides to send me packing or I decide move out, will I be asked to return to Nigeria because she is the main applicant?
Please I need urgent answers. I may not play the fool for long. We are very certain of getting papers next year. Anything you sense about a woman, you are right... But been deported, I don't know. Find way to be independent as a man |

Babysho: I'm 189cm tall, fresh out NYSC and I've recently began working my first 9-5 job in Lagos and inorder to cut costs, I've had to opt for public transportation and I've found that the leg room is never enough in both those yellow buses and the BRT. I'm tired of folding like jeans in suitcase, my back won kpeme and I'm not 30 yet. It's even worse in traffic.
First of all, I don't think 189cm is that tall. Also, I'm suspecting most of these buses are shipped in from Asia where the minimum height is the lowest in the world.
Tall Nigerian working class, how do you cope? Since I lost my job, I refused to get another one because of these and many more. I suffered in Lagos unfortunately, people don't understand the level of suffering. They want me to go back to work as soon as possible. Apart from that, some CEOs or recruiters feels intimidated by your height, they see you as someone they may not be able to control. If you have hight, it's evidence you are destined to be rich... Find a way to make the money and enjoy the glory of height. I pray I achieve this as soon as possible. |
