ola6: Former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, lost in the polling unit in Okuku Ward of Odo-Otin Local Government Area.

The All Progressives Congress lost to the Peoples Democratic Party.

In Oyinlola’s ward, APC scored 61 votes while PDP garnered 125.

Oyinlola voted in Unit 3, Ward 1 at his Okuku home town.

It will be recalled that Oyinlola, former PDP secretary, defected to APC few days to the election.

Also, former APC Chairman, Bisi Akande also lost at the polling unit where he voted.

Akande, who was also a former governor of Osun State voted at Ise Odo Unit Ila Orangun.

At the unit, APC had 93 while PDP got 97 votes.

APC's Fake Electoral Victory Celebration
We noticed with dismay the desperate bid of
the All Progressive Congress to discredit the final
results of the governorship election in Osun
state through publication of fake election results
and celebration of false electoral victory.
In the last four hours,the APC has been
publishing several concorted results which are
clearly against the reality of certified results
been collated by the electoral commission . The
party had brazenly assigned itself the task of
collating and announcing results which are
doctored and designed to undermine the
credibility of the official results when finally
announced.
By circulating fake results ,the APC intends to
prove to the world that the election was rigged
even when in reality the collation process was
yet to start before its illegal action.
The party has also proceeded to direct it's
supporters to commence celebration in towns
and villages. Even in wards where the APC lost,
the supporters followed the script by rolling out
drums in celebration of a non existing victory.
This is also part of a ploy to declare the final
official results as manipulated in preparation for
their usual tribunal battle. It is an elaborate plot
to steal the Peoples mandate through the
backdoor as the outgoing governor did after
2007 election .
We therefore urge our teeming supporters to
ignore the fabrications of the APC. We inform
Nigerians and the good people of Osun state
that the PDP is leading based on results collated
so far and any concerted results has no basis in
facts and legality .
We await the official results from the electoral
commission and we are convinced that the final
results will confirm the electoral victory of
Senator Iyiola Omisore.

I just can not imagine what would have happened if PDP won this election. They would be harassing everybody just like they did when they won in Ekiti. Some of them even go as far as raining curses on AREGBE.

A fake DSS agent was arrested by original DSS agents at Oranmiyan tower,Lagere in Ife central.Even her uniform tells it all. When she was stripped,her thighs were marked with tattooes. It is as if she is a prostitute.

It is because GEJ is holding up the state's allocations. But yet Aregbe is still not owning them salaries. Workers are receiving 13months salary and not 12. Truth be told.

What Aregbe is doing in Osun state is very very commendable. He has transformed the state from village into modern city. If they visit those projects and still complain, then i think they are mentally challenged for real. When they(PDP) are in government in the state,what have they done? In fact,i am not voting for APC but i am voting for Mr. Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola. I'm not interested in party but the candidates they presented.He change the name of the state from Osun State to State of Osun because the people Osun West(Ife/Ijesha) Senatorial District are clamouring for the creation of a Federal State.

Yes they are working for PDP. Yesterday,after DSS arrested two INEC officials trying to smuggle already casted ballot boxes of about 100 of which all were PDP. The DSS director at Osogbo first admitted that they did arrest two INEC officials and later said it was a lie even when reporters have already broadcasted it on radios and televisions.

study that shows college
students combining caffeinated
drinks with booze don’t realize
how intoxicated they really are.

In a study published in the
Journal of Adolescent Health,
researchers at the Institute for
Social Research at the University
of Michigan have concluded that
mixing alcohol and energy drinks
poses a serious public health
risk, especially among college
students. "We found that college
students tended to drink more
heavily, become more
intoxicated, and have more
negative drinking consequences
on days they used both energy
drinks and alcohol, compared to
days they only used alcohol," said
Megan Patrick, a research
assistant professor and co-
author of the study.

According to the study, students
who either drank alcohol and
energy drinks on the same day
or who combined the two at the
same time wound up spending
more time drinking – thus
consuming more alcohol – than
they would have without the
caffeinated drinks. The result of
spending more hours drinking
raised users' blood alcohol levels
to higher peaks. But because of
the stimulant effects of the
energy drinks, the users reported
that they felt less drunk than they
actually were. "This can have
serious potential health impacts,
for example if people don't
realize how intoxicated they
actually are and decide to drive
home," Patrick said.

But a similar study conducted by
the Department of Community
Health at the Boston University
School of Public Health found that
it wasn’t necessarily the
combination of alcohol and
caffeine that posed a risk, but the
profile of the drinkers themselves
that led to negative
consequences. "It appears that
the consumption of caffeinated
alcoholic beverages has a direct
effect on increasing risk by
masking intoxication and making
it easier for youth to consume
more alcohol,” said Dr. Michael
Siegel, one of the authors of the
Boston University’s study. “It also
appears that consumption of
alcohol with caffeine may itself
be a marker for youth who
engage in riskier behavior.”

I have never laugh like this on Nairaland before,not even once. All the people beside me at my workplace are looking at me as if i won a bet. How i wish all these non-performing governors listed on the thread are seeing this. Honestly,in this era of life not all people are pious but i think all southern governors perform better than their northern counterparts.
