Nice write up. That number 4 defined me when I was in secondary school. There was this guy, Moses, he was the one assigned to watch out for me when I make a move. They would be hailing me as if I am using a jazz, but it is God.

Dearpreye, I can't even begin to describe how candid, rich and straight your article is.
You've written aptly from your heart to those that want to learn and improve the quality of their lives.
The emperor of the future is the one who will learn to develop the multifacets of their life.
When I was a student, I was surprised by the fact that students cared only about reading to pass their exams and thus they graduate without any skill whatsoever. Some of them don't even read newspapers!
As a student, I combined my studies with a lot of things and still graduated with my academic dignity more or less intact; in exactly six years.

I wrote and won essay contests, I pastored a campus fellowship, I blog presently, I proof-read people's manuscripts before final book production, I design websites, I'm a columnist in a lifestyle magazine, and what more? I am a public speaker in campus circles especially, all to the glory of God.

Summary: Be all you can be. You're a Homo Sapien with unquantifiable capacity and intelligence. Only ants in an ant colony micro-specialise.

I will kill myself on Wednesday if am not able to sort this out. I'm tired of this life even though people around believe all is well with me.

I am a 23 year old undergraduate of University of Ilorin. I am a spill over student due for graduation last year. I had 2 courses for first semester and 5 courses for second semester, including project. I really tried my best this year, so that I can graduate. The trauma, depression, studying with my juniors, O God, after stressing myself reading day and night, preparing hard and settling project issues, just to discover that I failed 2 courses in second semester. I will now splash, not again.

I am pressing some buttons IF the courses can be waved. I discovered that I failed the two on friday after checking my results at the level adviser's office.

How will I inform my parents? I don't have a choice than to just end this if nothing can be done before Wednesday evening.

The pressure is just too much. I am the first born of my parent. They are expecting the good news not the splash news again, not after supporting me for a year.

Please, do not even think of that again. What happened to you should not make you to contemplate suicide. Think of your parent, your brothers and sisters. Think of the your loved ones and all what you have passed through, all what you have been enduring since these years. Do not give up. Giving up only means that you are a failure. You are not a failure, you are a WINNER, WINNER FOREVER. Despite the pressure, you still give your best. You have your life to live. Be happy, do not be depressed. A visit to any hospital is highly recommended. Be happy.

My dear nairaland family, I am a living witness of that road block. Just after Lokoja heading down to Okene. I took night bus from Abuja to Nnewi, GUO transport company. That road was blocked by armed robbers. We heard the robbers are fulani men who attack, plunder, kill, maim and rape occupants of vehicles that stumble and fall from jamming the road block.

We passed that road block around 2am. Ours was a luxurious bus. Our driver was in top speed, so he maneuvred the block and only the right pairs of tires hit the block, but our driver kept running, trying hard to control the swerving vehicle from tumbling over while still runnung in top speed, whilst everyone was shouting Jesus! Jesus!! Jesus!!!....because the fulani idiots actually actually came out from nowhere exactly and gave us a hot pursuit in about 5 motorcycles.

God spared our lives.

I knew another bus may not have same luck as we had.

I wonder if there is still hope for this damned country?

Glory be to God. May God protect us all.

I feel sorry for that person. Wish him quick recovery.

After the rent has been exhausted, I would pay no dime again and I would secretly look for another house to rent. If the caretaker insisted on packing out, then so be it but that wife is not going to pack with me to the new house .
