To me, I think charity should begin at home, not the other way. Many Nigerians don't like to help people in their circles. The same way Rashidi Yekini died like a mad man on the street. The last Wilson Oruma picture I saw on the internet was Scarry, I head he was duped with almost nothing left. We have several successful footballers, both present and the past who could have rendered some help to these people before something very bad happened to them, but no. I think it would be nice if people in the same line of business can be helping one another. We Nigerian like spending our money to outsiders. I have a friend that hardly give his wife money, but when out, his Odogwu. The same thing with my younger brother, when money entered his hand, he became very scarce to see. When ever he comes around, my mother will be the one begging him to try to sit down, his phones will be ringing like no tomorrow. Bring money for this, he would say by next tomorrow he will. Funning enough, people would see me and be telling how my brother is hot in town, some musicians will be praising him in their songs. My brother no remember house, na outside. If call him on phone for help, he would tell me that, had it been that i call him two days ago, he would have been able to help, but now, not possible. This thing is like a culture in my family. My people like to impress outsiders. I'm waiting till God will bless me, if i will do the same.

I don tell una, politicians only contribute just 5% of our problems, the remaining 95% is contributed by average Nigerians you see and talk with on daily basis.

We will still blame the leaders. Mostly because its their responsibility to punish offenders, to discourage others. Nigerian judiciary, is mostly interested in collecting fines from offenders. Most times, offenders find the fines very easy to pay. Trust me, nobody not even white people like to obey the law, what forces people to obey, is the punishment that comes with the disobedient.

A police man will tell you with full confidence that he can shoot you and nothing will happen, simply because he saw others doing it and getting away with it.
