All penticostal churches is an offshoot of Catholic teaching about God.
Sunday worship,Bible etc.
Had it been that Catholic church keep saturday as day of worship, sunday will not be what is it today. Most pastors that talk ill of Catholic church are just doing it to keep their members.
There is always rivary anywhere humans gather, in muslim world sunnis and shias, amahdiyyas kill and bomb each other as a result of doctrine differences.

olawalepopoola:
Like it or hate it, the Yorubas have taken the bull by the horn. Ambode will forever be remembered for taking this giant step to preserve our language from going into extinction. All Yoruba states MUST enact this law. Let them call it TRIBALISM. We are not the first to do it Nigeria and definitely won't be the last. At least one man put all his tribe man in charge of all our security networks in Nigeria while another allowed his wife to freely steal our Commonwealth.
Our IPOB brothers should learn that fighting is strategic not shouting. Yorubas are being strategic on this issue.
Ok, make una continue

I am referring to Lagos State University(LASU) not UNILAG, everyone knows that university of lagos (unilag) is own by federal government, you are sounding childish in other to score a point that is irrelevant.

Go back and read the attachment very well. sad General Studies is a mandatory course at 100 level for all tertiary institutions in Anambra. And Igbo is a compulsory part of that course. There is nowhere in the law enacted by Lagos State House of Assembly, that makes Yoruba as important as English or Mathematics. It only states that a credit pass in the language, is an entry requirement for students who wish to attend any of the 5 higher institutions owned by the state. You are the one trying to put a false spin on it, and mislead people. It is not by force to attend a tertiary institution owned by Lagos state, is it?,Go to a federal institution, or attend anyone owned by the 35 other states of the federation. Inugo? huh

You are the one putting false spin on it
. tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

When you make a subject compulsory for admission at Credit level it become equal to courses like English, maths and other additional three courses depending on whether one is doing science, arts or social sciences.

Like example if one want to study Medicine at Lagos State University, for one to gain admission you have to pass the following subject at credit level;

1.English
2.Maths
3.Biology
4.Physics
5.Chemistry
6.Yoruba.

Even if you have A in English,Maths, Biology,Physics ,Chemistry and fail Yoruba language you wont get admission.

PoliticsLagos PDP Kicks Against Yoruba Language Preservation And Promotion Law 2018 by Odingo1(op): 12:03am On Feb 13, 2018
By Dapo Akinrefon Lagos — THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State has kicked against the enforcement of the Yoruba language preservation and promotion law 2018, calling on Governor Akinwumi Ambode to suspend the law.

Lagos State PDP members In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Taofik Gani, the party argued that the bill recently signed into law by the Governor was an early misapplication and revenue coloration in bad faith.

The party stated that the lack of due considerations by the Lagos House of Assembly “in making and passing the bill gives one strong doubts on the competence of the house to deliver flawless legislation.”

It accused the state government of hastily directing all its tertiary institutions and other schools to demand credit pass in Yoruba language before any applicant could be qualified for admission.

“To the PDP, this is a clear indication that the law is more interested in revenue, thus tainted and in bad faith,” the party stated. According to the party “Frankly speaking the law was not brilliantly considered and its hasty applications make it laughable.

To us in PDP and a lot of other groups, the law is ethnocentric and direct attack on all non Yoruba residents in the state. It has also usurped the inherent powers of the Senate in the various institutions to determine their qualifications for entry. Imagine an Igbo or Hausa with 9 distinctions but a pass in Yoruba language.

Such will be denied admission into our schools. Whereas by the combined provisions of Sections: 17(2c) (3a) and 18 (1) of the 1999 Constitution of the FRN (as amended), all citizens should have equal rights and fair opportunities to education in any part of the country.”

Indeed, this vindictive law will eventually be applicable to persons employed or seeking employments in the state establishments” “We will notwithstanding advise Governor Ambode to get careful with bills emanating from and passed by the Lagos State House of Assembly to save Lagosians and the state from further embarrassment.”

you're a yeroba Christian am sure of that 100%
do you know that yeroba Muslims loves their hausa Muslim brothers more than their yeroba blood brothers?

Igbos loves yerobas but you can't reason with a yeroba Muslim because to him caliphate comes first
I dont think so, maybe majority, I have two yoruba muslim friends and they hate Buhari and dont like the way the fulanis is handling the affair of Nigeria.

When the Niger delta oil money is flowing and you want resource control without breakup shocked shocked shocked shocked, can Lagos survive without Niger delta oil moneyhuh huh huh, Kano and Lagos receive the highest allocation from oil money.

How do you think that there will be ever resource control in Nigeria. huh huh huh

Let’s see what you igbos will do. You guys are giving the haters of your tribe (very many I must say) ammo to nail you in yorubaland. Just continue your folly and see if your tribe won’t be taught a lesson.

You will tell us if Lagos looks like your village in the east.
As fas as you people are too afraid to stand on your two feet as a nation, lagos is for all Nigerians, go and form Odua Repulic and have lagos for yourself if fear will allow you not hiding under one Nigeria like cowards.

That law will never see a green-light because admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria is regulated by federal agency.

asuustrike2009:
First of all am not Yoruba
Secondly Lagos is the way it is because it accommodated different people. That it accommodated many persons doesn't give room for non indigenes to lay claims.
Thirdly Lagos can do without oil money. Revenue from tax alone can feed 10 states in Nigeria. Should the country break, Lagos can stand very well compared to other states
Then let Yorubas form Odua Republic and do whatever they like with lagos if they can survive without oil money, they are the most that cry over the media over Biafra and at the same want to run a mini country within one Nigeria, so JAMB will change admission guideline and requirement for tertiary institutions found in Lagos and maybe other part of SW abi and put it that you must have credit in yoruba before you enter their school.

So you think that other part of Nigeria cannot build international airport and sea port collect levies from it. Ask yourself why Yorubas are the most that cry over the internet over Biafra independent.

asuustrike2009:
Those persons should learn their language. If French is compulsory in France, I see no reason why Yoruba shouldn't.
Did Yoruba have a country of its own huh huh huh huh, last I check you people are afraid of Nigeria breakup because Odua cannot stand on its two feet like Biafra. All you people want is to run a mini country under one Nigeria because of oil money.
EducationRe: Yoruba Mandatory For Admission In Lagos Tertiary Institutions by Odingo1: 6:08pm On Feb 12, 2018
If Yoruba want an independent country of Oduduwa, they should be proud enough like Igbos that want Biafra, you cannot form a unilateral government under one Nigeria that you people love so much because of oil money. Break away and form Odua Repulic and do whatever you like with lagos state. Stop hiding under Nigeria, show that you can stand on your two feet.

This law can never hold as far as it is Jamb that control admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

But honestly we Yoruba's don't give a flipping fvck bout your feeling, neither does Ambode. The law has been enacted so you can eat your heart out or go and hang sef, ko kan aiye. undecided
You are still lying to soothe yourself, why not introduce Yoruba as compulsory courses in the higher institution instead of making it a criteria to enter the higher institutions, who are you deceiving with your cunning nature.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/university-make-igbo-language-compulsory-course-students
Stop lying and misleading people, did the university make it compulsory that you must have credit in Igbo before they will accept student to enter their university. Higher institutions in lagos can make Yoruba compulsory course in their schools but not that you must have credit in yoruba before you enter the school. If the every state in Nigeria introduce this nonsense of saying that every student must have credit in their state local language before you will be allowed to enter their tertiary institutions, how will school system look like in Nigeria huh huh huh huh.

You people know how to lie and twist things.
