Saintmary: It's an egg, not yet a baby. The egg contain someone DNA, if it is done rampantly where everyone will be selling egg, the children that will be in this world in the future will be marrying their sisters and brothers and this will result to new strange diseases. That is why the core northerners have various strange diseases in their midst because they marry their cousins their father brother children. |

Monalisa185: Many of you like to use rubbish to justify what you're saying. Have you done your researches? One of my neighbors in Lagos underwent IVf, the baby looks exactly like her, very fair like her, the same kind of eyes and facial structure, in fact, I never believed it was IVF when I was told. Again, most times, when babies are growing, they tend to look like people around them, enough reason they always say you wait for the baby to fully grow before you conclude who he/she would look Like. Please be informed, the baby doesn't necessarily have to look like the donor. Nawa o! There are two type of IVF, the egg of a woman can be harvested and fertilized outside the womb and a donor can be used if the woman egg is not good or doesn't have egg. The one you are talking about is probably the woman egg that was used or a donor egg and husband sperm. Once you use a donor egg and not your egg,the child wont have your gene but the gene of the donor. I am not against donating egg but it should not be done rampantly |

brainhgeek: she saved a life. The eggs could have been washed with her period. I salute her boldness. Besides, on the average, women have 500,000 eggs they are born with. I bet you cant release 500 in ovulation during your entire reproductive age. Why go to the grave with the rest when you can give life and smiles to somebody. Did you know the implication of what you are talking about, here is one of it, in the future people will be marrying their sister without knowing it, I can donate sperm rampantly and my own children will go marry some of other children that came out of my sperm donor, they will be marrying their brothers and sisters. |
Health › Re: Egg Donor Chronicles: My Experience In A Nigerian Fertility Clinic (with Pics) by Odingo1: 6:31pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
Saintmary: Imagine the billions of sperm cells you will produce in your lifetime. How many of them will be born? How many of them will you be able to cater for? If you donate them, you will never meet them, you will not know who you're donating to, IVF is superexpensive and can only be afforded by the rich so that means the kids will be born into rich families. Lastly, you are not the legal parent of the child produced and so have no legal right whatsoever to the child. The process might not even be successful, so why the sweat? Do you understand now? Did you know the implication of what you are talking about, is better for the cell to die than to give it out unnecessary. If you must give it out the family you gave it to must be noted,so that there will be a follow up. The other family suppose to know that their child is existing somewhere,This is Africa. |

Vickify: May your sister become an Olosho Instead her to be throwing our family gene here and there, is better for her to do Olosho and I mean it. Olosho is far more better that this nonsense of selling eggs, don't you know the implication of what you are doing. This is Africa, that nonsense should not be allowed. Those egg center must be regulated or shut down if they cant do it with decorum. Did they know the implication of what they are doing.Nonsense. |

Vickify: Warning: Lengthy post ahead
2017 is gradually coming to an end and I can't wait for 2018. I don't have any new year resolution, as usual. I just have the desire to make a lot of money before 2018 runs out. I intend to raise more money for my business by donating my ova (eggs). I don't mind selling my eggs if that will get me what I want, that's the point I'm at this year and I want to do the utmost I can to help myself. With this wretched economy, nobody will give me 100k even if I tell them it's a loan and I hear that's how much some egg donors are paid in Nigeria. I just hope I go through with it. Olosho runs girl business would have giving you more money before year 2018 runs out instead of this nonsense, so by the time you gave 6 eggs you will be having 6 children elsewhere that will resemble you and bear your gene and you are not doing it for charity. If you are my sister you must bring that egg back, because you cant be selling our family gene any how you want it. |
Health › Re: Egg Donor Chronicles: My Experience In A Nigerian Fertility Clinic (with Pics) by Odingo1: 5:55pm On Feb 20, 2018 |
Saintmary: Eggs get produced every month. If she doesn't donate it they die every month and get wasted. Why not give out what you are not using to someone who doesn't have? They didn't take her ovaries, she still has about 30*12 eggs to produce given her age before menopause and she's only going to use max 4-8 for herself. The rest die unless she gives them out. Stop being judgemental. No one's regretting anything here. So you will just be giving your children out like that, do you know that the child will resemble you. |
