Kenis, what thread are you talking about?

As for those translations, I don't speak Ibibio-Efik, but my parents do. I'll ask them for the translations.

Onlytruth: A council member suggested that we end this process earlier than scheduled because of loss of steam here. I think he has a point.
We should start to gather suggestions into one document and hopefully finish this either first or second week of December.
Seconded.

Thanks Tgirl.

Ify, I'm open to your idea or any other idea that will draw active participation and involvement.

We can't have this until enough people show interest in the idea. Nominating people is good but we also need the active responses of those nominated.

As for the topics of discussion, there are many options. I'll just brainstorm a few and you guys will select those that you like.

If things go right, we will have his sometime in December.

Life has gotten easier (in some aspects), but at the same time, things are still very difficult. The people of today have an entirely different set of burdens.

Here is a clear Igbo dictionary that I found. This dictionary is in Onicha dialect (the main dialect of Anambra), and even though it's not Central Igbo, most people will still understand you.

After re-reading this thread from start to finish (aided of course by Ogugua's wonderful outline), I think it's about time that we move on to our next order of business since it seems that we have hammered out a guideline for nominations and elections.

I believe what now remains in question are the actual duties/powers of elected officials and their limitations/regulations.

Ka anyi na-ga na ihu. Ndeewo nu.
