onatisi:It's the Graduate Entrepreneur Fund Programme. I don't know if you are aware of it. I compete and won the qualification |
Bamidupe20:pls tell me ur experience. How did ur own go? Did u do it? Tell me something. Ya. That is the optimised first cost for the project. The opportunity was to go for 2M but I slashed it to 1M for this reason u've raised. |
EngrSeries:That's a solid point you've made here. Possiblity is anything can come up. Adding to the fact that I made 4.4 CGPA and may be called upon for graduate assistance and all that. But then what if I hit big in my entrepreneural drive with payback that surpasses most employment and the fulfilment of building a financial system that works. This one is a bird in hand, as the English people will say |
I'm a serving corps member (Batch B15). Before getting to camp my fear was where I would stay and what i'll eat immediately after camp. But this fear was handled by religious bodies who provided us feeding and accomodation as new corps members immediately after camp. They even arranged for vehicles to pick us up from camp to our respective local government areas accross the state. So prospective corps members don't panic. I have the opportunity to coordinate that now for the Batch A16 that we are expecting in my local government. I'm consulting with Nigerian Christian Corpers' Fellowship (NCCF), Catholics Corpers' Fellowship, and Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria. I'm priviledged to be the coordinator of NCCF in my local government. I just feel I should post this to ease tension. |
I'm a serving corps member (Batch B15) with a very good University degree grade in Engineering. I love entrepreneurship and as such applied to Bank of Industry for a one million naira loan to start a Palm Oil Milling Plant. I'm using my NYSC discharge certificate as collateral - that means i'll not have the opportunity to see or touch my discharge certificate after service. Not that i'm confused, I really love the path i'm taking. I received text message from the Bank yesterday that my loan application has been approved. I'm sharing this to find out the opinion of others. Is it a good or bad idea from your own point of view. |

A great number of members on nairaland has at one time done a research. I would love people with like minds to place abstract of their work here. Let set the ball rolling: Industrial characteristics of palm oil-coconut oil blend and its application in the production of toilet soap is a process research. The objectives were to study the effect of different composition of palm oil-coconut oil on the industrial properties of the blend, to produce a research product of toilet soap, and to study the effect of blend composition on the quality parameters of the toilet soap produced. With increase in percent of coconut oil in the oil blend, the following results were observed: free fatty acid was between 0.48 and 0.46 with a correlation coefficient of -0.40. Saponification value was between 201 and 262 with a correlation coefficient of + 0.94. Ester value was between 200 and 261 with a correlation coefficient of +0.94. Iodine value was between 55.7 and 8.5 with a correlation coefficient of -0.99. And peroxide value was between 4.8 and 3.8 with a correlation coefficient of -0.69. Also, with increase in coconut oil composition in the blend the following was observed for the quality parameters of the toilet soap produced: total fatty matter was between 75.5 and 62.6 with a correlation coefficient of -0.98. Free alkali was between 0.78 and 1.95 with a correlation coefficient of +0.98. Moisture content was between 13.7 and 22.7 with a correlation coefficient of +0.98. pH was between 9.7 and 11.3 with a correlation coefficient of +0.88. And foam stability was between 3.6 and 1.6 with a correlation coefficient of -0.99. It was concluded that blending coconut oil and palm oil gives improved industrial characteristic of oil for toilet soap production and the optimum was found at 75 percent palm oil to 25 percent coconut oil and this gave toilet soap with the best quality parameter. It was recommended that a commercial plant should be designed and set up to extract these two oils and blended for production of toilet soap and other industrial applications. |

Please can someone verify this: I'm told I can skip Masters and do Ph.D directly. I have 4.40 in my B.Eng - Chemical Engineering. That it is for those with 4.00 and above in their First Degree. Thanks in advance |

let me contribute at this point: 1. The O'level qualification (or combination of results) you used to enter higher institution is the ONLY valid O'level for that high qualification. 2. Reputable organization (like oil companies) demand for that O'level you used at the point of entering into doing your higher qualification. So please practically clear from your mind the option of replacing your O'level both now and forever. Not a suggestion but reality |
