BusinessRe: Do You Know Where You Can Promote Your Business? by Oduok(m): 6:17am On Nov 06, 2016
OP asked, "Do you know where you can promote your business?" And I answer, "Yes I know. I'm promoting it right here." To all that are in need of quality household chemical products, I produce them. Check my signature and whatsapp me for your liquid detergent, bar soap, air freshener, bleach, aftershave, germicide, toilet/tile wash, odour control, insecticide, pest control etc and i'll supply to you quality at affordable prices. Do you need one on one training, online training, research assistance, then I can be the right person to meet. I don't sell e-books though, I don't use formulars on net, I don't use skill acquisition methodology, I employ sound production engineering technique for my products, services and training. Meet a professional today.
BusinessRe: Erisco Foods Shuts Down Nigeria’s Factory, Relocates To China by Oduok(m): 5:53am On Nov 06, 2016
I dare any company that will be able to operate a tomato paste plant economically in Nigeria with just the natural market forces - that has been my position after working on the design of this plant in my final year. The plant lacks economic viability. Highest is that it has technical feasibility. How is it possible for countries like China to be able to run their own plant? Then that is where engineering economics and economic politics shake hands.
BusinessRe: Recession: Dangote Threatens To Stop Tomato Paste Production by Oduok(m): 5:43am On Nov 06, 2016
Tomato paste plant lacks economic viability in Nigeria. We can only say it is technically feasible, i.e. With technology transfer from the west. How is it that it is viable in countries like China? That was the question my plant design lecturer asked me. I spent time to explain to him the engineering economics and economic politics in those countries. I dared any company that will run a tomato plant economically in Nigeria with just the natural market forces.
BusinessRe: You No Longer Need A Lawyer To Register Your Business - CAC by Oduok(m): 5:31am On Nov 06, 2016
Who needed a lawyer before to register a business name? Irelevant news. I registered my business name six years ago by just walking into CAC office in Uyo. I just submitted names for search, and got the first name, "ODFID TECHNICAL SERVICES." And file for registration. So what's the hype all about now? By the time you want to incorporate a company nobody will tell you if you need a lawyer or not - or other professional: accountant, chartered company secretary. Some people though are happy when they hear they do not need professional advice but will prefer using fraudsters.

In as much as I apprciate the OP's effort, I must say this post look more like an academic excercise than a practical approach to product registration. A lot people into business or going into business would want to know the basic (minimum requirement) of registrating a cottage industry. I keep seeing big names, big portfolio here - like what we learnt in the university that has no use to an average Nigerian that wants to do a legal business. Having said that: while in school I built a room, parlour kitchen, toilet (mini flat) with a space behind to make shade and want to use it to as a produce household products (liquid detergent, laundary soap, air freshener, bleach, aftershave). I've just come back from NYSC and want to legalize these products. I've registered my business name with CAC. I went to NAFDAC and someone there mentioned trademark (which said would assist for a fee of N40,000). And also was told NAFDAC registration is product by product which from my estimation would not be less than N50,000 per product. And was told of standard equipment. As an Engineering graduate I know you can produce standard bench scale products with readily available vessels. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Diploma in Safety Engineering, and Certificate in Cosmetology, Certificate in Entrepreneurship. I really want my bench scale products to be fully registered but all I see including this thread is some big names like Limited Liability Company, Production Manager, all those requirement that scare away young entrepreneurs. Sure I have a production manager (ND holder, Elect/Elect) and Company Secretray (B.A. - English) - though I can't really pay them well for now due to abnoxious requirement to start business. Please is there no hope for young entrepreneurs?

Just walk to any DPR office closest to you. Website and google do not really help. I did my internship with DPR and have helped over 50 companies get permits (General Purpose, Major, and Special Category) and also over 200 petrol stattions with either Site Suitability Certificate, Authority to Construct, or Licence to Operate. But it is only within Akwa Ibom and Cross River State. Because those are where the office I have direct connection covers. It is beyond having theory knowledge...

it has been quite well until this APC recession. e go better.
wow! You freelance to achieve NSE and pursuing COREN? How long since you graduate? Where is your location? I'm really impressed. NSE and COREN is part of my target before the dream job comes.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Are You Currently Doing While Waiting For The Dream Job? by Oduok(m): 8:11pm On Oct 28, 2016
I have been eyeing my dream job even beofore I entered higher institution. During my higher education I got attached there for a calculated two years period (my post ND and my degree SIWES). I have always known one thing - that it will take not less than two years after my NYSC to finally process and get hired in this dream organisation. So during my service year I learnt how to produce household products. Right now my liquid detergent, bleach, and air freshener is penetrating the market. (I just finished my NYSC this October 2016). So hustle has started. Let's see what i'll be able to achieve before the dream job finally clicks.

Hello group how viable and lucrative is a masters degree in Process Engn Economics or Management in Nigeria at the moment am an Undergradate of Chemical Engn i need suggestions on better fields for me to delve into for a Masters degree if not masters any other kind of Degree.thanks
As a matter of passion I would say it's a nice career path. I also intend to go that line. Viability in Nigeria? One can't say for certainty. Though my own strong point is that Engineering kick-starts a plant while Economics keeps it running. We have witnesses a lot of industries folding up in the country and the reason, I believe is economics. It is not enough for a plant to have technical feasbility; it must possess economic viability as well. So go for it if it is your passion. I love Plant Economics; I love Engineering Economics.

Telecommunications option of Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics? If it is Telecommunications in any Engineering Department or Faculty accredited by both NUC/ NBTE and COREN, then you are qualified.

Good day to all engineers in the house.
Am Olanrewaju Adeniyi, I will be through with my ND this year in Electrical/Electronic.
Talking about experience, I already had four(4) experience in Electrical Apprenticeship Training in various construction company .

Sir, with this am I qualify to join NSEhuh
You cannot join NSE but you can join Nigeria Society of Engineering Technicians. You can also register with COREN as a Technician. Years of experience in Electrical Aprrenticeship is an experience under Craftmanship of the Engineering family not experience as an Engineer or Technician. It is when you have collected your National Diploma that you will start to work and build experience as a Technician. But if your career path is being an Engineer then University Degree is what you have to pursue after.
