Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) is the most used source of energy at homes in modern time. The gas is a mixture hydrocarbons – butane and propane. The gas is highly volatile and possesses explosion potential being stored under pressure. This work looks at the how to detect leakage in LPG cylinder, taking care of odourless LPG and users with inability to perceive, and what to do in the case of actual leakage. https://odfidtechnicalworld..com/2019/11/safety-at-home-your-gas-lpg-cylinders.html |

Why pressurize the young girl to get married when the girl can easily become a babymama anytime she chooses. Uriel don't mind them. Same pressure everywhere. You are not alone dear. |
In this changing economy, companies employ very few graduates with 2-1, Frist Class, below age 27. These companies have shutdown most of the their skilled departments like painting, carpentry, welding, fitting, catering, integrity testing etc. These jobs are now given out on contract to indigenous contractor, mostly from the host communities. These contractors do not have the capacity to keep permanent staff. They hire casual staff whenever their services are required by these multinationals. As a student or fresh graduate, in addition to the so-called employable skills, you need to acquire enterprising skills. If you can coordinate these services using your educational background, you can aspire to be the firm getting these contracts and harnessing human and material resources for execution. This articles look at how far we have gone as a country in actualizing in-country refining of our petroleum resources. https://odfidtechnicalworld..com/2019/11/modular-petroleum-refineries-in-nigeria.html |
Yes. Especially if you are not a recent graduate. For someone that has been out of school for quite some time you are expected to be seen working - fully employed, underemployed, volunteering etc. It will show the potential employer that you have added value to yourself since graduation. The reason you need a new job is to change level, or long for more challenge or security. On the other hand if you appear not doing anything it will raise concern on the mind of your potential employer. |
Maybe Atiku will push the case further to keep the third arm of government (Judiciary) busy. |
The firm should have employed the best performing trainees. After training, these young ones need to be mentored for an extensive period of time and not to be thrown into the murky world of entrepreneurship. |
With our technically skilled engineering craftsmen and technical support from our partners, you can continue to count on us for your piping construction and maintenance. From domestic to industrial, and plumbing to process. "Odfid ... Ensuring competence."

There is no place for Minister of State for Petroleum under the Petroleum Act 1969. This position is figure head. |
Dear final year engineering students. I write this letter in response to the questions I have received over the years from you. Questions of what next after the final paper. The labour market is not as bad as people would tell you, neither is it as good as you would want it to be. You just have to be strategic in your steps. The options available are various: write a catching CV, network, go engineering entrepreneurship, rapport with your HOD to win a place in graduate assistanceship, raise money to write SAT in order to try your hands on foreign scholarship, learn engineering softwares, prepare for Masters, get HSE and other certifications and the list is inexhaustible. You must have been told the above options - some or all. It work for some people and does not for others (there is no one all working solution in life). In addition to all that I would love to suggest an option to you, though not too conventional but I guarantee you it would work. I want you to consider Technical Engineering. What do I mean? Immediately you finish your last paper locate a technical college around you. A college with equipment for practicals. Tell them I directed you down. Volunteer to work there. When you have arrived resist the temptation of being turned to a teacher. See yourself as a technical instructor. Ya, you are now officially an Engineering Pupil (as we are called in the society of Engineers). The college would want to use you as their Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry Teacher. Some may want to make you Vice Principal or Principal, others would want to keep you as exam machine. All these are but sweet distraction. Insist that you want to be involved in training of engineering craftsmen. Forget sitting in staff room and locate the workshop. Be available for the following subjects: 1. Mechanical Engineering Craft - if you are studying Mechanical. 2. Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic Work, Electronic Work - if you are studying Electrical. 3. Pipeline Fitting/Welding - if you are studying Chemical. Do this judiciously, save up for your COREN, and in time to come Nigeria would not be importing people from China to supervise Engineering work. You will be so valuable. Regards, Id |
okeynelson: this is wonderful. Thanks so much. Hope to start doing business with you |
yaliyu963:Good one here sir. It baffles me why people would have money to build high rising buildings without considering having the structural detailing for the building. It is quite amazing. Let us as Engineers heighten the awareness of clients on this aspect. |
meohio7777:You would have spent less should you have engaged the services of a safety engineer for construction safety presence. I never knew there is this level of regulation for construction projects onshore - I'm happy to see this. It is only on offshore construction projects, that I represent contractors as safety rep, that I see this level of enforcement. Nigerians, it is high time we started doing the right thing, in line with global best practices. Construction safety has been a serious concern to the world safety body - ILO. The Nigerian situation a serious concern to me as well. |
To avoid real loss in your building projects (loss prevention), engage the services of: 1. A structural engineer for high rising buildings. 2. Safety engineer to provide the construction safety presence. |
okeynelson:Ya. I can |
Beautiful academic work. From the right up you can see that OP is very fresh from school. |
This is business opportunity for ICT guys. I need to start an ICT orientation centre for secondary school students and school leavers. |

It is high time we started prosecuting all these avoidable incidents as criminal cases. |
sunnymighty:Nope. I base in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. Thanks all the same. |
Was teaching during my service year. Finished ending of 2016. Applied and taught in a private secondary school throughout 2017. Then early part of 2018 I had a temporary job to provide safety supervision for a project offshore. The project lasted for 6 months. Later part of 2018 I commenced NPower teaching in a technical college. Apart from the above, I produce liquid detergent, aftershave, Izal, bleach, methylated spirit, and hair cream which I learnt during my NYSC. I was engaged by an ICT Academy to teach an engineering software - Aspen HYSYS - in December last year. A service that lasted for 10 days. I do home lesson, assist university students in design projects. That's how I have been surviving. |
Such a nice write up. My dear HND is a curse. Do you know that all those with Bachelor's degree that went for NYSC with you in 2015 are now employed? HND is indeed a curse. |
I have never read of it in the history of Nigeria that serving Corp Members would be trained on entrepreneurship, asked to submit business proposal and granted a loan of 2million naira to start business. Also, the corp members, immediately after service, are placed on monthly stipend of 30,000naira and given opportunity to volunteer in the areas of health, education, and agriculture pending when they would be employed. The same corp members are given opportunity to compete for employment opportunity in federal civil service, DPR etc. I have witnessed all these and been a beneficiary of 90 percent of these packages since completed NYSC in 2016. Most PDP fans reading this post are beneficiaries. Buhari is a pacesetter and mean well for the youths. Let us vote him back. |
Looking into the eyes of a youth, that is up to 30, and calling him future leader is insulting. A youth is a present leader. Future leadership is a phrase to be used on children and teenagers. A study of almost all the old folks misleading the us now revealed that they started leading at 30. A study of outstanding church leaders presently now reveals that they started leading at or before 30. To face fact, that politician that you are a thug or SA to is occupying your rightful seat. That school that a retiree opened and is paying you 12,000 per month as a graduate was supposed to be yours. That company you are working with unfair labour engagement was supposed to be yours. That lecturer you are bribing was supposed to be your colleague in academic. That lady you are committing immorality with was supposed to be your lawfully wedded wife. That food you are eating from your parent was supposed to bought by you. Youths arise and grab your future now. A generation before us have served their time and are serving ours too. Are you up to 30? The future is here. Joseph, Jesus, David, all entered their destiny at 30. Rise from mediocrity to stardom. The time is far spent. Are you a child or teenager reading this post, whatever limits you at 30 is not a perfect design. Work hard right now to be outstanding before you click 30. When I see a youth, I see an outstanding Professional - an Engineer, a lawyer, a Doctor, and Accountant, an Administrator, A scientist etc. I see fulfilled employee with a job that has future. I see a CEO. I see a church leader with power, mightily used by God. I see a model for children and teenagers to learn from. Have a blessed September. |
