I would have pissed on your grandparents grave but unfortunately you and your relatives have already harvested their heads and there is nothing left for me to piss on. and the burial ground has been sold to an Igbo man for the burial anniversary owambe. Only yorubas sell land where their father was buried to anniversary owambe for the deceased. I was shocked when one woman begged me for money to eat less than 3 days after hosting a huge owambe for a mere naming ceremony. |

Nigeria’s Northwest and Northeast regions have the highest prevalence of bribery among adults, a new report published on Wednesday indicates. The report, prepared by Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with a focus on the quality and integrity of public services in the country, shows that the Northwest has 36.2 per cent prevalence rate while the Northeast has 35.2 per cent prevalence rate. The prevalence of bribery, according to the report, “is calculated as the number of adult Nigerians who had at least one contact with a public official and who paid a bribe to a public official, or were asked for a bribe by a public official, on at least one occasion in the 12 months prior to the survey, as a percentage of all adult Nigerians who had at least one contact with a public official.” The country’s Southeast region, currently in the throes of a separatist agitation championed by Nnamdi Kanu’s Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has the lowest bribery prevalence rate of 24.2 per cent, which is below the national average prevalence rate of 32.3 per cent.In between these extremes are the Southsouth, Southwest and Northwest with corruption prevalence rates of 33.8 percent, 32.8 per cent and 29.1 per cent, respectively. In terms of an average number of times a bribe is paid in each of the regions, Southeast has 4.9, followed by Northwest with 5.2 and Southwest with 5.7 times – all of which are below the national average of 5.8 occurrence rate. A bribe is paid in an average of 6.2 times in the Northeast, while both the Northcentral and the Southsouth have a 6.4 occurrence rate. However, the report notes that from the “spatial analysis of bribery prevalence across the 36 states of Nigeria, no clear geographical pattern emerges. At the state level, the prevalence of bribery ranges between 13 per cent in Kwara State and 52 per cent in Borno State, indicating that local factors can have a significant impact on interactions between civil servants and the public.” https://m.guardian.ng/news/northwest-northeast-top-bribery-prevalence-rate-in-nigeria/ |

SamNaijaboy: Aketi is a goner. You can come back here to quote me. I'm from Ondo and today I carried out a survey of 10 APC Chieftains and 12 non-APC people who are connected politically in the state. They all think he is going to lose to Abraham or Oke at the Primaries. And if he manages to get through those two, he won't beat Jegede at the main polls! I won't say it has anything to do with this particular appointment, other than to say "his vice Governor (wife) has him heavily disliked now". The guy na woman -wrapper Story. MetaPhysical: Ive been on a campaign since two years when complaints started surfacing about mishaps in Ondo Government and their first lady.
Ibo in government or position of authority is a nightmare. You cannot have Ibo in government or close to government and not have huge problem. There has to be a tight supervision in place to manage their proclivity to noise and excesses.
We have had a number of Governors in SW married to non-Yoruba in past and current. None were dramatic and noisy as we see in Betty.
This is fact, not hatred towards any group.
Here is what I find wrong here on this issue of appointment of full-breasted Ngozi.....what were Ondolites looking when Akeredolu and his Ibo wife were voted in? Were they blind....did they not know his wife was Ibo before voting him?
They were determined that Tinubu must not have influence in who becomes gov in Ondo but in their vent against a Yorubaman they donated their state to an Ibo woman, and have been lamenting against her since.
Betty is just doing what Ibos do. She has not acted in anyway abnormal. This is normal for them. Yorubas in Ondo are the ones with wrong expectations.....expecting Betty to respect them and their State. Has Ibo ever respected anything? Wetin concern Yoruba Moslems with Ondo, a Christian state. No go focus on your Oyo. Good people of Ondo shall return Aketi and hateful Yoruba Moslems will only drown in their tears |

flokii: El Rufai is not the problem here.. Northerners are known to be considerate to an extent just like Yorubas. Reason you find cosmopolitan States in SW (e.g. Lagos, Ogun) and North (e.g. Kano, Kaduna) and none in the South East.

Maadoo: We survived..
Kano Pogrom 1945
Jos Pogrom 1953
Nationwide pogrom 1966
Genocide 1967 to 1970.
We survived abandoned properties.
We survived state imposed bankruptcy.
We survived nationalisation of industries.
We survived quota system.
We survived government anti Igbo policies.
We survived Fulani herdsmen.
We survived destruction of our properties in Islamic riots.
We will outlive every evil policy from a country entangled in gross darkness and mired in structural wickedness.
Evil can never triumph over good.
We will overcome the dark heart of man.
of man's inhumanity to man.
Today we remember our heroes.
Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Philip Effiong.
Alexander Madiebo.
Joseph "Hannibal" Achuzia.
Rolf Steiner
Taffy Williams
Carl Rosen
Roger Faulques
Bruce Mayrock
Jan Zumbach
Etc.
Thanks for giving your yesterday so that we can have a future.
... and God bless the living legend Squadron Leader Artur Alves Pereira of the Biafran army, for coming to our rescue when the world feigned blindness to the cruelty of the dark construction of the human heart. Your generation is blessed.
Today we remind Nigeria that her past will continue to haunt her, her present will continue to torment her and her future will continue to elude her... for obfuscating history and conniving with evil, until Biafra is recognised and freed. Even if Nigeria, a country suffering identity crisis and internal contradiction forgets, we will never forget.
We will take back our nation.
From the Hausa Fulani slavemasters and their puppets.
We will restore Biafra.
And make it the pride of Africa.
In Biafra Africa died and in Biafra Africa shall rise again.
In Biafra Nigeria died and in Biafra all the ethnic nationalities currently enslaved in Nigeria will rise again.
Come Biafra come. You made me wept. I love you, brother. Of course, no homo. |
