It's not about Buhari but the rot in the system.

Majority see nothing wrong in importing rice, toothpicks etc. at cheaper prices from other countries because they can afford it, which is very wrong.
All things being equal, we should be self-sufficient by now in rice production and even supply other West African countries to generate revenue. The border closure in a way will send message to those countries dumping their goods in Nigeria.

Nigeria will be great again.

Good. Please indicate the era during which Nigeria was ever great for it to be great again. I’ll wait.

I’m much more concerned about my people in Ketu, Sabe, Popo & other Yoruba towns out there. Yoruba people should learn to disregard border partition and colonial identity, we should remain one strong nation across borders & flags. Don’t be deceived the Hausa & Fula across west Africa do not give two flucks about colonial identities & partitions. They migrate to trade, hold political posts & settle freely among their own people in different West African states.

Let us all be guided abeg.

Lol unserious & comical folks.
I wonder if the votes for the presidency will be given by the East alone. These Ibos have made too many enemies to be given any votes or trusted with power. Rather than waste time & money to contest a position they won’t get votes for outside their enclaves, they should begin a reconciliatory journey with other ethnic groups from now towards the presidency in some years to this era.

To be honest, I’m not very vast in Yoruba history. I just want to establish if the current Ooni is from Oranmiyan’s lineage or not.

Ah OK.
He is from that lineage.

Ooni can wear any insignia of previous Ooni image. What he cannot do is adopt the totem of a different ancestral line.

Alaafin can wear insignia of an Alaafin and of Ooni. He and Omon'Oba both.

Hmmn, egbon mi, while I agree with you at the surface level that the Ooni should be able to wear any past Ooni’s style of costume; you’ll have to permit me to disagree that he should not. Why? Styling his outfits in patterns of past Oonis who had no links to Oduduwa and in this case Obalufon, whose ancestry was anti-Oduduwa/anti-Oranmiyan has certain implications locally - that is here in Ife.

This Ooni dressing is still the imitation of Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodirin. Is Ooni Ogunwusi from the Obatala lineage of Ife? What’s the obsession with that particular Ooni?

Congratulations to Baba Ijebu, the new Odole of the source.

Research has shown that, contrary to popular belief, Obalufon & Obatala were not directly related. He must have had ties with Obatala but he was a great-grandson of Oranfe. The lineage of Obalufon, both Ogbogbodirin & Alayemore, belongs to the Oranfe clanship with Obalufon holding a certain rank in Oranfe cabinet as well as another rank in the larger Ife religio-political culture.

Below is a photo of Obaluru [arole Oranfe] being paid homage by King-priests, outright priests and chiefs whose source is Oranfe & Obalara [Obalufon’s son/Arole] is right among them.

gidgiddy:

If that is how a country is declared then anybody can declare a country. Isaac Boro just got one day, armed some men and declared a Niger Delta Republic. That is not secession, that is banditry.

In Ojukwus case, Ojukwu had a binding agreement with Gowon that was signed in Ghana. When that agreement was broken by Gowon, Ojukwu called a meeting of the Chiefs and representatives of all the 20 provinces of the old Eastern region. They met and gave Ojukwu the mandate to declare the Eastern Region a separate country, infact, a representative of the Ijaw people called Frank Opigo asked Ojukwu to call that separate country "Biafra"

So the difference with what Ojukwu did and what Isaac Boro did is that while Ojukwu acted with the mandate of the people to declare the Eastern Region Biafra, Isaac Boro had no mandate and nobody knows to this day what area he declared Niger Delta Republic

Do not be a id!ot.

There are no standards as to how and when to declare a secession. Cases far removed from that of Ojukwu abound world over from Post-Westphalia era to American independence in the West & the Soviet Collapse to mention a few. Stop with stupidity & stop trying to beautify a scarecrow.

They deserve every curse for the anguish they put female students through as well as for the male students who bear the brunt by association - be it relationship or friendship.

Let us not forget there are as many female student victims who get exploited as there are male lecturers who get exploited by female students.

I hope someday, the world will learn to balance narratives than make the male species the victim of every trending uproar like we have seen in domestic violence, rape cases & cases of depression where the society has barred the male species from getting a balanced attention/help.

Any lecturer, employer or person in a position to directly influence the grade/career of another person (and that goes for both male or female) has NO business whatsoever sleeping with such person, however much you may believe that the subordinate “willingly” want to. If you have NO moral compass (or self-control/self-discipline), you are NOT fit to hold a fiduciary/supervisory position.

So when are we going to get a documentary on female students who willingly want to fuxk/date their lecturers?

Edit: Apparently, a lot of toxic & generally dumb f.olks have difficulty spotting a joke when they see one. My comment above is a joke, a sarcastic remark.

Yoruba's are funny ....after what happened to zik in the western region where he was betrayed

U expected him really to form a government with awolowo ? Funny
Same way u expect Niger delta to support the west in 2023 after what u did in 2015

Same thing awolowo was expecting Igbo support after his role in the civil war ?

U betray someone then turn expect the person to support u ...after they say Igbo's don't build bridges

Since you want to shift goal post then I’ll say you Ibos are funny too. How do you expect the West not to kick Azikiwe & his entire ancestors out when he continuously tried to jeopardise the interest & future of the same west he lusted over during the constitutional conferences of the 50s. Your hatred & betrayal of the Yoruba who gave you civilization did not begin with the formation of government, it extended back to pre-independence.
