Immediately i saw Gattuso on the line up of Italy i knew they were in big trouble. Gattuso is finished for crying out loud! They need creative midfielders to work goals for them.
They have been outplayed so far cos Slovakia has younger and better creative players. |

@ Sauron. Na here u run come? I have been waiting for you in the other room about the over priced hotels in Nigeria. To the above topic; the problem could either be spiritual or physical. The physical has been thoroughly dealt with by @ Vivaladiva. The spiritual could be in a form of spell cast on someone. Please, see your TRUE Pastor for counseling. |

Sure, good profit is relative. The fact remains; their rates are damn too high. |

@ Sauron.
My point; these hotels can still make good profit if they reduce their rates and pay employees more. |

These hotels make good money. I worked with a a popular hotel on the Island some years back as a Departmental Head.
Yes, they spend so much on power supply and others, but the profit is still huge at the end of the day. |

kokoye: I support Sauron here.
Apart fro the basic ammenities like electricity n water, how many people patronize Nigerian hotels compared to the numbers who patronize hotels in Dubai and New York?? Not a lot I am sure.
In New York, a hotel services hundereds of guests per night . . i'm sure a Nigerian hotel may not have up to half of that. So the cost will be spread over the little clients they have of course, since no company wants to run at a loss.
Also think about the extra security Nigerian companies have to pay for.
The only think I cant stand is that these hotels or companies will NOT reduce their prices even when things get better.
You don't live in Nigeria and you obviously not current with the happenings. Come to Ikeja Airport Hotel for instance and see how many guests it services.
Now dont get me started on cstomer service . . it is non-existent in my country |

NaijaNaWaa: Nigerian Hotels are the worst and the most expensive hotels I've seen in the world. To start with, our hotels are too local, poor architecture, bad decor, dirty and poor services. There're very few international hotels in Nigeria compared to even, ordinary, Ghana. In Abuja for instance, apart from Hilton and Sheraton the rest are local champions and yet more expensive than correct hotels elsewhere. Go to Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Libya, Egypt, etc and see correct hotels.
Unlike other countries where you can access info on hotels (location, room rates, rating, booking, etc) online, Nija hotels have very little online presence and their phone numbers hardly work. So you must be physically present and pay cash to book accomodation. . Please, say again to Sauron. |

Says who? I run a biz that is dependent on generator, i understand too well and am talking from experience sir.
This a huge market in Nigeria, that automatically should reduce your selling price to some extent after covering your overheads. |

Story story! That's what we always say; we exploit innocent customers under the guise of poor electricity in Nigeria. Look at MTN and other GSM operators, they said they are charging high call rates because of power problems but the profit they make here is much more higher than what they make in other branches of various countries with stable power supply. So, what are we talking about here?
Admitted that power supply is horrible in this country; but the prices or rates charged by these hotels are outrageous. Even with a very stable power supply, i bet these guys will never reduce their rates. |

Is love-peddling a good profession? sometimes we get too sentimental about so of these issues that we leave the realities on ground. As at today, the Nigerian constitution does not allow love-peddling unlike some countries in the world, e.g Holland. So, Abuja is only trying to enforce the Nigerian constitution.
I do not see anything bad or wrong in what the government is doing to get the city rid of them. I expect us to support this decision. |
Sports › Government To Disband Eagles by oisehumen(op): 6:40am On Jun 24, 2010 |
Government to Disband Eagles
The Super Eagles squad that crashed out of the ongoing World Cup in South Africa will be disbanded any moment from now.
Nigeria lost 1-0 to Argentina in their opening game of Group B on June 12, followed by another 2-1 defeat to Greece. On Tuesday the team drew 2-2 with South Korea and eventually crashed of the tournament.
Authoritative sources close to the National Sports Commission told our correspondent in Johannesburg on Wednesday that the NSC had concluded arrangements to disband the squad. According to our sources, some of the big names will be sent packing while only the young and dedicated ones will be retained.
It was learnt that the body would meet with the chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation on the development.
Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is being tipped to lead the new-look Eagles that will comprise home-based players and players from the national age-limit teams.
The government is not happy with the performance of the national team at the first World Cup to be hosted in Africa and has decided to act.
Our correspondent learnt that the NSC would encourage the NFF to retain coach Lars Lagerback to enable the country to build a formidable team. |

influentia: Hey peeps thank you all for your contributions so far, I know I will always count on NL
Yeah he has to be disgraced if not for anything for all his threats that he will call a family meeting (both families) at every slightest provocation and that I need to confess wot I have been doing. there is no such time better than now. Not knowing that he has been using that as a cover up for his acts.
The newest house girl is still around and willing to testify before she leaves and funny enough her family members are ready to wage war against my hussy family in the village because we are all from the same place. I have put a call across to my mum she couldn't believe her ears, the girl will stay till end of month b4 she leaves and I have told her wot to when he dares her again.
Yes I have to get my facts right and my sister is ready to open up too. I have arranged with the girl to provoke a situation where my husband will want to bully her and then she will speak up and narrate the ordeal b4 his very presence.
My husband doesn't know any of these for now, he doesn't even know the main reason for the fight last night but he is beginning to think the girl has told me something, even after smashing his head severally times and biting him he still knelt down and started begging forgiveness over 'nothing', I pretended all was well but I have my plans.
He came to my office this afternoon and we had lunch he was still petting and begging, he kept saying wot is the matter with you, did any body tell u anything about me ? I said noooooooooo. He has been trying to be extra nice,,,eeeeeediot . Women, be wise and don't take any drastic move that will destroy your marriage. Handle it with care, else your marriage will be in danger |

Break which hearts? Eagles can never break my heart anymore. See, the best way to absorb the imminent disappointments or heartbreaks from the bunch of lazy and unskillful players we have is to assume they have already failed even before kicking a ball in any tournament. This is the method i have been adopting for over 10 years and it has worked well. Please, try it out. |

lizzybabe1: I think all the evils in that match cancelled each other out. The guy who fouled Elano should have been given red but he got away with it. Fabiano got away with two handballs. Kaka got red card when he shouldn't have had it. Keita got away with playacting. In short, both sides cheated and got cheated on. The referee should be banned. . Yes, the referee should be banned for life. |
