He beat her up for the following reasons:

1. She was embarrassing him by dating a governor.
2. She has body odour.
3. His new wife complained she turned to a lion whenever she saw her. The new wife actually accompanied the thugs to go and beat her up in her father's house and did a little damage herself.
4. She complains too much and is too quarrelsome.
5. The children she had for him might not be his.

These and many more made our dear Deji of Akure resort to thrashing her like a child in public.

What are they criteria used to determine the most expensive city in Nigeria anyway?

Is it in terms of accommodation, transportation, feeding or per capital income summarily?

this is funny,
one bedroon flat (mini flat) in lagos, (yaba, surlere, ebute-metta, etc ) goes for b/w 200k to 300k
2brm flat  350k to 550k
3brm flat 500k to 850k

These are moderate prices in moderate areas of lagos. I know of the prizes cos i just moved into one in ebute-metta ( after about months of searching) for 750k, and somebody is telling lagos is cheap
hmmm,
.

I contest these figures seriously. What areas of Lagos are u referring to?
I live a decent 3 bed room apartment in a good location and i don't pay up to that.
PoliticsGovernor Uduaghan's Facade by oisehumen(op): 11:19am On Jun 09, 2010
UDUAGHAN

It no longer news that Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, the incumbent governor of Delta State is a confused man. Since the forced exit  of his cousin and benefactor, James Ibori, the governor has gradually lost grip on his office and his popularity within the state has

continued to plummet. He is the chief security officer of the state, yet he can’t guarantee his own safety. Afraid of being stoned by Delta indigenes, who say he has not delivered on his campaign promises, Uduaghan now commissions state projects at night, usually during the wee hours of the morning.

Uduaghan is so dysfunctional and out of touch with his aides, that he took visiting governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa  State with him to commission a hospital that had not yet been supplied with any equipment. After cutting the tape, he proceeded to lead his guest into the hospital for an official tour, but was quickly stopped by his aide who embarrassingly informed him that the hospital had no equipment to show.

Uduaghan’s public Tirade

The governor recently warned one of his commissioners at a public function in the presence of other Delta State government cabinet members to desist from bothering him with calls and text messages. “I hope you realize that I am the executive governor of this state. I do not want you to call me again. I will call you when I need you”, he arrogantly cautioned the commissioner.

Some commissioners, who preferred to be anonymous, have complained of their inability to meet with the governor on numerous occasions, whom they said has no time for any of them. “We hardly see the governor, except when there is a public function somewhere within the state. You dare not book for an appointment when he does not need to see you. He seems not to trust anyone. The Ministries are run without adequate funding but we dare not say it aloud because it’s better being ‘in’ than ‘out’”, they complained.

On another occasion, at an enlarged meeting of the executives of the Delta State Elders Council, led by Chief Gabriel Sefia, an enraged Gov. Uduaghan said to the chagrin of his host, "I have refused to be pushed away. Mr. President needs the Governor of Delta State and the Governor of Delta State needs Mr. President. I have easy access to Mr. President because Mr. President recognizes that I am the Governor of a critical state in Nigeria."

Against public knowledge Uduaghan insists he inherited a full treasury, yet Uduaghan has refused to pay many contractors for the past three years. To be paid for job done in Delta State, a contractor must be an Uduaghan sycophant, which in his mindset means loyalist. The selective payment system, huhuonline.com learnt is to ensure that money does not get into the hands of Delta indigenes suspected to be non-loyalists or those who have opposing views. This goes against the concept of a democracy which means a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Now Uduaghan is at war with his commissioners over loyalty and allegiance. It is agreed that no one can serve two masters, and within hierarchies loyalty has to be given to authority. But loyalty must be to the country, the state and its people, not to its office holders. Paranoid and embattled, Gov. Uduaghan opined that to continue to be part of his cabinet, commissioners must not be seen openly fraternizing with opposition. To this end he has engaged the services of a biased and untrained spy network, led by his brother-in-law to monitor the activities of his aides suspected to have ties with the opposition.

In the same vein, Dr. Uduaghan, has threatened to sack disloyal public office appointees, and has issued them a two-week ultimatum to retrace their steps or be removed from office. “Your loyalty must be 100 per cent to this administration. I am giving you two weeks to resign, if you feel you cannot be loyal anymore”, he stated.

Good talk my brother. MTN should stop deceiving us. Can anybody pinpoint any good things MTN has given back to Nigeria for the Billion of Dollars they make from us?

Abeg, tell me. This project fame thing or what u call it has never one day thrilled me. It almost caused a quarrel between me and my wife. Project fame was on air and i wanted to watch a live football match. I believe there are better projects they can embark on which will better the living standard of the average Nigerian on the street whose talents are wasting than this stuff called project fame.

good luck to the super eagles then. their recent friendlies have renewed hope in this team.

i dont expect them to beat Argentina or even collect any point from that match. maybe a 2-1 loss

they should rather focus on the other matches with south korea and greece

Who says Argentina is not beatable? With due respect to the world class players they have, Nigeria can beat them if we play our normal football or at worse get a draw.

Didier Drogba fractures elbow

Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has fractured his elbow in a friendly tie against Japan and could now miss the World Cup finals.

• Japan 0-2 Ivory Coast

Drogba had opened the scoring for the Elephants in the game in Sion but was injured following a challenge with Tulio Tanaka after 15 minutes, as the Japan defender's knee connected with his elbow.

Drogba left the pitch holding his right arm and it has been confirmed that the Chelsea striker has sustained a fractured elbow, which could put his participation in the finals in South Africa in real doubt.

"It's an elbow injury. How bad it is, I don't know. He had a lot of pain," coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said. "Of course I'm worried. He's captain and one of the world's best players.

"It was unlucky. It wasn't bad or stupid. He [Tulio] didn't want to hurt anyone. Football is a game of contact."

It is believed Drogba was taken to a nearby hospital and L'Equipe reports the striker has admitted he will not be able to represent his country.

The news, if confirmed, will come as a huge setback to Ivory Coast coach Eriksson, who already has the daunting task of facing Brazil, Portugal and North Korea in Group G.

Drogba finished the season as top scorer in the Premier League after claiming 29 goals for Chelsea and is one of the leading figures in African football, meaning his absence would be a damaging blow for the tournament.

South Africa Embassy queries NFF’s bogus list
…Denies FA chairmen visa

South Africa Embassy officials in Nigeria are amazed by the number of passports sent to them by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for visas. The Embassy authorities have queried what over 200 people would be doing in South Africa as delegates from Nigeria’s FA, and have subsequently denied most of them entry visas to watch the World Cup.

Daily Sunsports check revealed that officials of the embassy were shocked that in addition to executive members of the NFF, Football Association bosses in the 36 states of the federation and Abuja were included in the list of delegates, and wondered if they were going for a jamboree or for a World Cup.

They wondered why different committees were set up by several people listed as members for the World Cup when they are not the ones hosting the Mundial.

Stakeholders had queried the rational behind taking the 36 FA chairmen from all the states in the federation and Abuja to South Africa, but the football house never defended its action.

Aggrieved members of the public had reasoned that the forthcoming elections into the executive board of the NFF was behind the decision to take all the FA chairmen to the World Cup as a way of luring them to do their bidding when the election holds.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Supporters Club did not have it easy with the South Africa Embassy officials, as they drastically cut the number of the members wishing to be part of the club at the Mundial.

Wonders shall never and this NFF officials won't just stop to amaze me!
