Ojeysky, as the BYD don come early so I might actually be picking up that 24v charger you got. Hope you are still game. I cannot top balance these guys cell wise while I was actually expecting the 38120 cells before these. Courier say na Corona cause them to come anyhow, who am I to argue?

yes to the vehicle production but the infrastructure cost is significant especially maintenance of hydrogen station. I think it's still a long way and Tesla will still be on tops many years to come

Definitely the surge is something. But it won't matter if the freezers are started one after the other on a proper sized inverter.

A small sized freezer will have like 85 watts continuous consumption. A 1.5kva continuous/3kva surge inverter can handle 5 of those when started sequentially, I think.

She mentioned 2 yellow bulbs and 2 coloured bulbs. I'll wager those are incandescent lights like 100 watts each or at best 50 watts each. That's not to mentioned the 5 white bulbs she wrote which are likely CFL each likely 25 watts each - that makes 125 watts and then with the 4 incandescent bulbs (400 watts). That totals 525 watts on illumination alone.

Folks occasionally I get this heavy cold start surge, I wonder if it's my felicity that is doing it's thing. Notice the 4.5kw in the attached picture, while I wish I had that much array this is not the case . Does anyone experience this as well?

So the batteries are still in good condition under that load test.

I don't understand that calculation Sir, could you provide further clarity. You got 2 units of 24v 200AH batteries and then connected them in parallel. That should give 24v 400AH

Edit: Okay I see you've updated to indicate it's lead acid test.

Just been released

Am trying to process this from the attached images I could reduce that:

1. The setup was 2x200AH which is 400AH 24V Lifepo4
2. At a nominal voltage of 25.6v that should be over 10kwh in capacity
3. At 90% DoD just about 4.4kwh was achieved.

So can we then say that the batteries are actually 100AH or at best 120AH each?

so, am planning ahead about building my house, am considering where best to locate the power room cum study in a duplex.
i am thinking of having an extra room in the duplex dedicated solely to power/inverter battery installations etc. and the space will also serve as my study. since am not sure yet of the type of battery i would be using, but likely 12 to 16 pieces or equivalent of 12v 200ah fla batteries, wi would think such weight would be better suited on the ground floor, and not subject the decking to the stress of carrying such a dead weight, however,..i would prefer my study to be upstairs, hence my dilenma. so hoping the house can throw useful suggestions on what they think is the best location with reasons.

If you must use the top floor then don't go for lead acid, go lithium and you will only need 6 to 8 200AH Lifepo4 and the overall weight will also reduce significantly.
