dre11:My deduced fact is: If the stated is the fact, the the soldier with Keke is at fault. No soldier or his operator should be above the Law. The Law made the soldier himself. He is under the law |
This is indeed a tough time for private school teachers. Even the proprietors do not like this circumstance. But, it's been said that tough times bring out the best in people, the same way gold get refined/beautiful through fire. Just identify what you are fitted to engage in. There is something out there now which if you can switch into it as your occupation; you will soon be telling people that you actually wasted previous times all this while in private school teaching. You will be proud of yourself if you do this. It's out there for you to discover it. You can request for help, if you need some. At the end, the covid-19 and it's resultant lockdown will become a blessing. |
May be it's from my eyes, but this plane appear very looong, each of them. ![]() |
olawalepopoola:Okay. You have made good point for the snr staff of the university. Kindly read the post above of yours. |
xxxXXXxxx:Thanks Boss! I belong to the school of thought that believes it's time we Nigerians begin 'doing' key services for The nation free of payment/charge. I wrote to the NOA, requesting that she provide a 'platform' for me and my Team members to provide certain free services across all the states of the Fedration, as well as (most importantly) sensitize other well meaning citizens across Nigeria to join the league. One week after I engaged the Agency, Covid-19 emerged in Nigeria and stole the spotlight. |
gaiusolayinka:A good Soldier of the Lord. Proud of This man (now Late). He zealously defended the Words of the Lord. Rest in the Bossom of the Lord, Ravi Zacharias! |
Oh nooo! They have come for Baba Buhari again. Come on people, this man deserve our sympathy and support. I mean, look at his age, Baba deserve support, prayers and empathy. Allow him be. Less criticism please! ![]() |
mechanics:Your point is cogent |
My opinion, there would have been nothing wrong, if politicians will be like: President...300k Governors...250k Senators...200k Reps...175k Ministers...150k State commissioners...120k etcetra etcetra... I mean, Nigerian politics must be 'demonetized'. People who go into politics should do so for zeal to serve and bring examplary and sacrificial contribution to Nigerian development, NOT TO MAKE MONEY AT THE DETRIMENT OF THE COUNTRY. NIGERIA MUST NOT BE SEEN AS A "CASH COW" ONLY THEN WILL WE BE ON THE PART TO REAL NATIONAL PROGRESS. |
I want to specially congratulate the governors who are still active and doing some developmental projects for their people, despite the distraction brought about by covid-19. Such politicians will have their career thriving even in post covid-19 periods |
makjo900:You are in the dark. Sorry. But that's your personal problem. Not mine. If however you want to see the Light, it's not yet too late. Let me know when you are tired of darkness. |
makjo900:Wrong. Jesus was not "killed" He submitted to death, having the power to "lay down his life and take it again". It's mystery. The faith that leads to the believe of this fact is a gift that comes from God. It's not common, neither is it meant for 'any one'. It is not proper to give the children's food to the dogs. |
Chuknovski:Correct Man. |
izzou:I have to say this: This thread belongs to comedy section. It is so, in order not to make joke of The Igbo Language |
My honest question: Please, did the south freely give their consent for the amalgamation, or were they coerced to do so? I mean, hope there weren't duress in the process of amalgamation ![]() |
hopefulLandlord:Your unbelief is you problem, not that of the op. My experience occured when I lived in Gombe state. (around July 2010) can't remember the actual day of the week. Driving on a Toyota saloon car on the Ashaka road, heading back to Gombe town. I have left Malam Sidi, passed Doho junction. Alone in the car, I was (in my usual) playing a song by Ron Kenolly "I bow my knees before your throne, I know my life is not my own, Lord I offer up, this song of praise, to bring you pleasure Lord. Halleluuuuujah ×××..." Suddenly, I dosed off. My speed was around 120klm/he Waking up, I saw a white car 3 metres ahead of me and it's an old non-speeding vehicle. I quickly overtook it by going down the shoulder of the road right-side and continued the speed unchanged. I did not panic, surprisingly. Blank I woke up and, the good thing is that I was on seat belt. I began to panic. I am not sure, but I think I held my car's hand break while my eyes was closed... Because my car, as I finally came to consciousness, was on the opposite side of the road (left side) having entered bush with reverse. The front of my car was facing the main road, while the boot is in the bush. The engine was still humming, but what stopped my car from further movement is that, a big wood peersed between a tire and the rim and that particular type got puntured (no more air). I woke up hold the steering wheel, the back tires were still rolling and digging holes under each tyre because the engine was working and my leg still on the trutle. It was as I raised my leg from the trutle that the tyres stopped digging the ground. When I came out of the car in the bush, I saw impact made by my car on trees, broken due to struggle, but which I did not know when it all happened. People gathered from motorists, and I was advised to go and off my still working engine, so I did. Nothing happened to my health. I got an okada man who collected my punctured tyre and wen to Doho junction and filled it for me at the vulcanizers. That road is known for the notoriety of it's trailers population. About a hundred trailers can ply that road to or from Ashaka Cement Factory but that day when I was sleep-driving, they were off nearby. God kept me safe even when I wasn't conscious. I OWE GOD, BIG TIME. I CAN NEVER DO ANY GOOD TO BE ENOUGH FOR WHAT GOD HAS DONE TO ME. BUT EACH DAY, I WILL LIVE AND DO A GOLDEN DID TO THE GLORY OF GOD |
Sonoyom:What ![]() 'almost everybody a criminal'? No, I am the exception! Bankk on that. |
Sonoyom:

It's a bad thing still. How can the people of the region, with their political connections and might keep quiet while their populace keep getting exploited. It has become so bad that officers give incentives so as to get posting to the Nigeria Delta. At the end, the masses will pay for the sortings which led to the transfer to the oil-rich ND. When will their leaders wake up ![]() ![]() |
Sonoyom:Well, I wanted you to briefly appreciate Wike for not seating in his office and talking, but going to the field himself- leading from the front not minding if he gets exposed to the virus... As for the security agents across the country's check points, I heard their cattons/bags of collecting the "tokens" from the mortorists gets filled up to the brim to the point the mortorists watch as the uniformed press the notes down repeatedly, hope you visualize that? The Journalists are worried about some emergency powers acquired by governments during this pandemic period and weather such powers can be relenguished after the pandemic is over. The concern rather is: how can the uniformed men at the check points in Nigeria feel and behave after then pandemic when they are used to bag-full of money daily? |
aaamos:Correct Guy. |
Sonoyom:True. But do you, or, do you not commend him for this particular incident on the news? |
DanseMacabre:If your comment here is to be taken serious, then we may have lost the meaning of "harmless" |
Gombe needs the attention of the federal government. Come ooh! Baba Obasanjo is not writing letters again. He would have written at least a letter since. |
Kwanza:It's no big deal. Kwankwaso should make the donation to the Federal ministry of Health. They need it and will use it as the number on of cases keep rising. |
Vision4God:It's saddening So traumatic. What the family must have gone through close to their giving up ??The kneeling man seems to be consoling the others and gave up in that position. May their soul RIP |
The Corona virus pandemic has really stormed Nigeria as the number now nears 2000 cases in the country. But Gombe cases seems to be frightening more than many other states. Gombe state is one of the states with average population of say 3-4million maximum. How is it that 70+ cases has been reported in Gombe and there is no total lockdown yet? What number has Lagos, ogun and FCT when they had total lockdown? |
Bullet01:I think Nigeria should tackle the pandemic better than we have done so far. IT'S ONLY LAGOS, OGUN AND FCT THAT HAVE HAD TOTAL LOCKDOWN ACROSS NIGERIA. KANO FOLLOWED LATER. WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE STATES? GO TO THE NORTH, LIFE IS ALMOST NORMAL IN MOST OF THOSE STATES UP NORTH, WITH EXCEPTION OF KANO, KADUNA. SOME PEOPLE MAKE IT LOOK AS IF THE ENTIRE NIGERIA WENT THROUGH WHAT LAGOS, OGUN AND FCT WENT THROUGH (Total lockdown). MY VIEW: NIGERIA HAVE NOT BEEN FIGHTING COVID-19 HOLISTICALLY. I'm praying the country will not pay a price for that. |
Macsjebs:Don't underestimate the power of human imagination |
