I have 2 challenges now;

1) Has anyone here been questioned about place of employment.
I want to retain my employment status in my CV, though I've resigned since last year.

2) I booked my visa appointment using Abuja address(I am in Abuja) and I was given Lagos. Will it be ok if I use a prepaid envelope with Lagos address? DHL Prepaid envelope for Abuja is N7200 since I want to spend some time I Lagos.

Courier envelope in lagos is less than 2k. Why waste all that money for envelope? I got mine for 1,300.
It's cheaper at embassy too.

Any one currently in Potsdam or Brandenburg with advise/assistance in getting accommodation? Please epp a brother.
Studentenwerk is not feasible at the moment.

Not true. Use Daad.de there are a lot of schools there.

All the best dear. Please I want to ask when did you a book your student visa appointment? I just got my admission for 18/19 winter session and intend booking an appointment for student visa.
This is what I read on the website “ Please note that there are NO available student visa appointments for the winter semester 2018/2019 left. E-mail requests for appointments will NOT be answered any longer“. Do es it mean I can’t book for a student visa again? Also how long in advance does it take to book?

I personally think that information is incorrect cos the day it came out, some persons still got interview dates after.

I have admission from Ulm University in Baden-Württemberg and resumes August and I also have admission from University of Potsdam (my preferred choice) resumes October but they are yet to revert with my admission letter after I forwarded my acceptance letter back to them.

Few of us used nipost and our documents got there within 10-12days (as i was told)

To those yet to use NIPOST, please send your documents as early as possible. (don't expect it to reach the destination as informed by the receptionist anyways.. Just bear in mind that it's not DHL or FedEx.

My journey started around this same time last year. I initially wanted to go to Norway and started following the thread, but I somehow stumbled on the German thread and I have been on it from that day. I don't go a day without opening the thread and I have read from part 2 to the last page on the current part.

I applied to about 3 schools for summer semester 2018. They all rejected me (with good reasons though) except for FAU that rejected me just because of cetification. I was heartbroken.

I only applied to those 3 schools for summer because I didn't want to go through UNIASSIST because of financial reasons.

TIMELINE:

Applied for Admission: 02-12-2017
Opened Fintiba: 20-12-2017
Received Admission: 13-02-2018
Interview: 28-05-2018
Sent blocked account confirmation: 15-06-2018
AM dropped: 25-06-2018.


I am not sure where I am going yet. I have admission for University of Freiberg. (Environmental Geoscience)

Still expecting from Leibniz universitat Hannover (Water Resourses and Environmental Management), University of Bayreuth( Environmental Geography) and Kiel (Marine Geoscience).

The one month wait for the AM was really a tough one. Even though I was very confident of my interview, I was still kinda worried.

Thank you all for all the assistance here. I use myself as a point of contact to all those still expecting, it will get to us all in Jesus name.

Have you utilized the opportunity? Or do you know someone who has gotten scholarship from DAAD??

Head office at Marina or the Head office extension at Iganmu, Constain.
I don't know if this is done at any other branch.

Letter of Instruction is the written /typed document that stated that your account should be debited for the funding.

Again, the bank officer didn't say anything about the bank removing rhe charges, he only said the receiving bank would remove the charges.

You can still verify that though.

To use Form A for First bank, you need:
Admission letter
Degree certificate from your previous university. (ionno of Bsc)
Letter of Instruction
Invoice of the school fees (the letter stating the amount that should be paid, the document must have the acct number, swift code etc)
Passport page.

They use CBN rate.. Which changes daily. There are no charges for first bank (just the receiving end. The banks that the money is paid into in Germany)

It takes less than 48hrs.

These are what i was told from Funds transfer officer in FBN Head office.

You can still go ahead to confirm though.

I just received my blocking confirmation from Fintiba this morning. ( I was expecting it on Monday, didn't know they send mails on weekends.)

I funded through Form A with Stanbic IBTC Bank on the 28th of May. They completed the transaction on Friday 8th of June(yesterday), almost 2 weeks after applying.

They charged me 426.7/Euro. and a service charge of approximately N33,000.

So, anyone looking at funding with Form A and is ok with the charges can go to their head office. It is located on the same street with the Germany embassy (Walter Carrington).

Will forward the Blocking confirmation to the embassy by Monday. Anyone with the right Email address should please assist me with it.

First bank is free. They only charge at the receiving end (Germany)

Bros.. If GTB is still proving stubborn.. Take this to Twitter asap. Copy GTbank handle, CBN handle and other gossip platforms.

When your done.. Send a mail to fraud unit at CBN and copy Consumer Protection Council department at CBN. This cannot go unresolved.

Those guys are insane.

The previous day i read a thread about something similar in Zenith bank abuja. This is insecurity and if not resolved.. Get a lawyer. This is arrant Rubbish.

After all said and done, like you said, am more at peace with the small city(Siegen) than with the big city. That's cos God is not restricted to big cities.
