Why is tithe the most quoted law of the old testament. How about all the laws in Leviticus, including not eatin pork. The new testament really focuses on offerings, especially offerings coming from the depth of the heart. In as much as we pay tithes, we should endeavour to live holy. That is what shows our love for God. Then we shoild show love to our neighbour. Giving to the needy is one of the ways. Tithe alone cannot take anyone to heaven.

Why can't the various state Governors initiate their own. This thread is the best so far on NL. My contribution is that Nigeria is the world's largest producer of Yam. Early yam (harvested from July) comes from Onitsha, Oguta, parts of Rivers state along the River Niger basin. Late yam (from Nov) is produced from most Northern and middle belt areas with Benue topping d list. However most of the yam eaten in UK and USA are imported from Ghana. I wonder why we cannot develop this potential forex earner.

I support fuel subsiidy removal. The stress will affect everyone initially but with time, the forces of demand and supply and a robust competition will bring prices down. Private refineries will only come in when it is profitable in Nigeria ie when subsidy is removed.we need to be more reasonable on dis issue. Continue feeding a cabal fat or suffer a little and benefit later. It is food for thought.
