The devil has for decades trained and planted his apostles in the Vatican. They have been the ones advocating for ordination of women, married priests, same sex marriage, abortion, etc. They grew in number and confidence over the years, and were sure to soon capture the papacy (position of the Pope). They encouraged their men to cause maximum scandals so that they can one day use it as a weapon to ruin the church and as an excuse to change the teachings. These things have been ongoing, there has been a struggle going on in the Vatican, but Pope John Paul II handled them so firmly during his time- he stamped his authority more over the evil sects and suppressed them.

When these evil people are able to get their man into the papacy, he will align with the evil one world order and force all nations and government into their agenda. All sexual sins will be pronounced not be sins again. Any church or anyone who teaches otherwise will face prosecution for going against the law. That is why they are legalising gayism, abortion, etc. Once the Catholic church is captured, it will be the beginning of the end of Christianity as we know it today. Everyone will have to go with the one world religion led by the false prophet and Antichrist. The false prophet will be the head of the one world religion, he will point to the Antichrist as the king of the world. The Antichrist will also be enthrone as the head of the one world government. What will are witnessing now are events already long prophesied in the Catholic realm. They MUST happen. Whether we will get to see one last good Pope is what I cannot say. But it is obvious the devil is already having his hour.

Your comment captures a lot. Many in Nigeria who have not seen anywhere outside Nigeria thinks its a battle for the catholic church only. IT IS NOT. The devil is trying to bring down the body of Christ, in totality. But he won't succeed. The focus on the catholic is just because of their sheer large number. If it is Redeemed, Christ embassy o or Ny other sect that has this large following, the foreign media would still have focus on them looking for scandals. Imagine making a cardinal resign over something that happened 30 years ago. Where is forgiveness? How about the many Nigerian pastors who publicly confessed to be drug pushers before their call. If the foreign media are to descend on Nigerian pentecostal churches, it would be very very dirty.
