I really feel for you Frosbel. The energy you dissipate each day castigating the catholic church can be spent winning more pagans and non Christians into the Christian fold. I say this to you also out of Love too. I am also advising you that when you preach to non Christians, don't start with the catholic church this and that. Tell them about the love of God and ask God to use you as an instrument to spread peace and Love. The more you criticise the church, the more it grows. The master himself said, The Gates of Hell Will not Prevail against it. Nothing you sayor do will ever stop the catholic church. Ask Martin Luther, ask the Russians. I look forward to the day you will post on Nairaland that you won so so and so new converts. Stop fishing in another mans pond, using terrible gimmicks. Please find something better to do with your life. Shalom |
What matters is modesty. Most people dress carelessly on week days and most of what they wear is not allowable by some churches on Sundays. I am not talking of Jamboree churches where going to church is like another night club. Most churches preach modesty and it is only fair to be selective with what you wear to church in order not to make a fool of your self. For me, church clothes are always specially selected. On another note, most traditional wears are modest. Covering aman/woman properly, hence people's preference to native wears on Sunday's. |
Abrantie: What's up with this black smoke nonsense? Why can't they just send a tweet or make a phone call to the media? It's just fun watching that Chimney. |
hillsate: Please what is it with all the smoke. They could use the methods you mentioned but tell me it's not fun watching that chimney. They are simply using this old method which very effective at its time but currently is merely being done in keeping with the tradition. Mind you we have not said its from the bible. Btw there is no twitter and flat screen in the bible (just joking). |
okeyxyz: Read your bible with any bible concordance\dictionary. Nowhere does it say fornication to be sex between two single, unmarried individuals. It was defined as illicit\unnatural\impure sex. Any sex between adult, consenting male & female cannot be fornication. You are still carrying on with the religious definition of fornication introduced by the roman-state church after it absorbed christianity...Okeyxyz, You Must Be The Anti Christ Himself. Such abomination you preach. Please repent while there is still time. |
Was any other human in the bible referred to as "HIGHLY FAVOURED" some one tell me. It is only the virgin Mary that the angel told this. I over heard this during a preaching by a Pentecostal pastor whose church is beside my window. Then why on earth should I not honor her? Some one tell me. |
qhiwegh: Haha, Pope can only ride helicopter. Even oyinbo Pope no get private jet like 9ja pastors.Even the helicopter does not belong to him. It belongs to Aitalia |
elampiro: [b]Those fellow Christians celebrating the scandal in the Catholic church should watch it. It is the devil that is about to take over the world and persecute Christians all over. The devil has for decades trained and planted his apostles in the Vatican. They have been the ones advocating for ordination of women, married priests, same sex marriage, abortion, etc. They grew in number and confidence over the years, and were sure to soon capture the papacy (position of the Pope). They encouraged their men to cause maximum scandals so that they can one day use it as a weapon to ruin the church and as an excuse to change the teachings. These things have been ongoing, there has been a struggle going on in the Vatican, but Pope John Paul II handled them so firmly during his time- he stamped his authority more over the evil sects and suppressed them. |
The health section helped me immensely. The current routine drug taken by my family member who is a sickler was introduced to me here on NL. Thanks to NL. |
DUMBFOUNDED. I am aware of their activities being a PH babe, but never knew the operation is something like this. I am concerned about their health. |
One word - Disgusting. |
This post made sense for those days of house wives. Nowadays women work even harder than men. I come back from work about 8pm daily and don't get to even eat dinner at home. I eat only on week ends in my house. So to be a woman is equally not easy. |
My inlaws only show love when they are aging from me. If they ask for anything and don't get, I become the evil woman. it's so funny. They are hardly willing to reciprocate the love I show. So at times I also play hard. Truly it's very difficult satisfying inlaws. |
In my area Rumuagholu PH, there is still practically no light. I don't know whether the community has been forgotten by PHCN. Meanwhile it was 80% in my village in IMO state during the Xmas. |

They won't tell their husbands that they are also the highest users of intimacy gadgets in Nigeria today. I have a friend who said her relative in Abuja supplies intimacy gadgets to Muslim women. Most of them are sex starved and cannot speak out. Tired of waiting for their turn from a husband who has four wives and countless girlfriends, they resort to self help. So unfortunate. |
Happy Birthday Madam. You too fine jooor. For those yelling and bad bellying, how far with Hon Facrook and Otedollar. Mtshwew |
No wonder set rack never performs. East West road - ongoing for over 8years. Owerri PH - many years now. Smh. |

RIP Zulai. It's so sad you have battled sickle cell for 40years and eventually lost the battle. May God comfort your family. |
Even if they do not have to pay taxes, let them at least publish their accounts and source of every donation of N50,000.00 and above. The stage will now be ripe to know how honest our churches and mosques are. I envisage a lot of under quoting Let us know those that will hide money launderers. |
jcross19: yes you are right because they are the founder of religious terrorism .No you got it wrong. They are the only ones that preach peace, Love and religious tolerance. For others, it's die die die.... Go figure. |
LastApostle: You see car me I see his luxurious edifice.ROTFWL people are funny sha. |
all4naija: Oil was discovered in Nigeria 1956 at Oloibiri in the Niger Delta. It's discovered 2 years after the name Nigeria existed. So, the North has be sustaining the Brits ruling not Nigeria as a nation. This man where did you get your history from? Nigeria we all know was formed in 1914 after the amalgamation. Guess no history teachers in school these days. |
That is why we call them, Awusa. |
I wish our NASS can promulgate a law that makes it compulsory to wear traditional on Fridays. Imagine what the impact will be on the textile industry alone. The ripple effect continues, to the tailors/fashion designers. On a recent trip to India, I was amazed to see that they wear their traditional sari even to work, including bankers. I really appreciate friday dress down, but unfortunately, my Bank does not allow it. Suit suit suit all through the week ![]() |
This is good news. Justice must be done eventually. That brute must be brought to book. |
How do you pay for power, link, maintenance, ATM custodian who has to leave his house on weekends to load cash especially on holidays? This is very wrong if you ask me. Like one poster rightly pointed out, 'out of service' will be the new order. And for your information, an ATM machine costs not less than N5m. This is outside the link installation and inter switch charges. Let's watch and see. |
Having heard from Maduka, I sympathies with him immensely. He entered this transaction with a clean mind, to help bring up his junior brother's business going down. Like any other person, you must make some profit from such help, since it's generating profit. But I blame him for not taking the warnings issued him from every corner, with seriousness. He should have applied some caution, these properties would have been collected earlier. People like Uba will always end up badly. I see him steadily declining till the end. He will definitely reap what he has sowed. This now makes it so scary to help someone in need. |
This is very touching. Am already looking inwards at my own contributions to this rot. Truth is that 99% of Nigerians contribute to Nigeria's problems. The song by Michael Jackson, Man in the mirror" comes to my mind. We can do little things, I mean everyone of us to make this change. I personally will try to cancel summer trip next year and use the funds the start the little poultry I 've been planning. Perhaps that can create some employment for some folks. |
