Maintenance is key.
Oshodi interchange and bus park come to mind. You need to see how haphazardly bus parks and liter the whole place . It becomes dirty very quickly. The terminal offices aren't even used to its full capacities. Some of the facilities are closed to the public.
Teslim Balogun stadium is just there.
National stadium, national theater.
Lasuth, Luth. These were once a structure to behold but poot maintenance makes it look bad.

With proper maintenance an old building or structure becomes a marvel . We need to start teaching ourselves how to maintain government structures. These structures are ours, we are the government. We always find it easy withiu caution to deface government properties. We need to stop!!!

Orile Badagry road. See how people have already used dirts to block the drainage . Now, the roads are caving in . Eye sore it is. It hurts though
I agree with you, but please remove luth and lasuth....those two places saved my life after I went from one private hospital to another.

That is the sad reality of our day. Many families even end up falling apart after migration. The fear, anxiety, confusion, anger, emotional trauma are better imagined than experienced.

A parent abandoned their 2 years old son and came back after 13 years. The conversation between them was embarrassing and heart breaking.
Will the family separations stop? No. Is it worthwhile? Many only realize after the damage has been done.

Our greatest needs are for things that money cannot buy—namely, love, emotional security, and family unity.
So true. A lot don't realize this till they move there.

I always start by making my bias very clear,I will vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president of Nigeria next year.
I shudder at the noise coming from the camp of the opposition against the suit worn by his Excellency Sen Shettima 2 days ago at the NBA conference.
I have always been an advocate of allowing the citizens hear what the transformational plans of the presidential candidates of the different political parties for Nigeria will be next year, alas the mob crowd shifted from critizing their presentations to clowning about Sen Shettima suits.
From Asiwaju's Tinubu certificate to Sen Shettima connection with Boko Haram,to Muslim-muslim combination, now it's the suits, all of these while we allow the crazy mob crowd deprive us of the opportunity of listening to policy decisions that will affect everyone's life for another 4 years.
Asiwaju selection of Sen. Shettima is nothing short of that of a calculating political strategist, for the 1st time since Democracy was restored back in 1999,the real Hausa citizens have a shot of getting into the power.
From Alh Atiku in 1999 to Gov Yaradua in 2007,Alh Namadi Sambo,to Baba Buhari,it has always been one Fulani man exchanging the baton of leadership between themselves, while the Hausa men were just left as appendages of the Fulani.
I keep saying the silence of the Hausa men on the BBC Bandit of Zamfara documentary should scare any Fulani man,the Hausa men are plotting, reorganizing and strategizing on how to take over power.
2023 is a power struggle in the North,Sen. Shettima represents a break away for the average Hausa from the hegemony of the Fulani.
That's why I'm sure it will be a battle in the North, Alh Atiku and Sen Yisuf Datti represents a continuation of the old order,I also think it will be a terrible mistake for anyone to underestimate the prowess of Sen Kwankwanso up North.
2023 election will be very interesting especially in the Northern part of Nigeria.
God bless Nigeria.
Thanks for this breakdown.

THE IDEA THAT THE CREATOR BURNS PEOPLE IN FIRE IS A SATANIC, DEMONIC IDEA FROM THE DEPTHS OF DECEPTION AND EVIL.

NO SUCH THING EXISTS.

HEAVEN IS THE 'REAL WORLD' WHILE EARTH AND LIFE ON EARTH IS A 3D SIMULATION.

WHEN YOU DIE YOU SIMPLY EXIT THE SIMULATION AND RETURN HOME TO THE 'SPIRIT WORLD' FROM WHERE WE ALL CAME.

IN THAT WORLD, THERE ARE TRILLIONS OF SOULS LIVING ALL KINDS OF FRUITFUL, BEAUTIFUL, ENJOYABLE EXISTENCE.

THOSE WHO DECIDE TO COME TO EARTH BRIEFLY AS 'HUMANS' ARE REGARDED WITH HIGH RESPECT BY OTHER SOULS BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT SOULS GO THROUGH AS HUMANS AND ALL THE SUFFERING INVOLVED.

IT IS ALSO SAID THAT WHEN WE RETURN HOME AFTER OUR TIME HERE, IT ONLY FEELS LIKE WE SPENT AN HOUR OR SO AS HUMANS, NOT A 'LIFETIME' OF 80 YEARS ETC.

TIME AS WE KNOW IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY EXIST. THE IDEA OF A PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE, IS ACTUALLY AN ILLUSION TO HELP US EXIST IN THIS DENSE, PHYSICAL REALM.

IN THE REAL WORLD WE CAME FROM, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OCCUR ALL AT ONCE.

IT IS CALLED 'THE ETERNAL NOW'. ULTIMATE REALITY.
Very accurate.

YOU ARE 1000% CORRECT.

THIS IS THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR EXISTENCE, WHICH OUR TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS KNEW AND EMBRACED, AND CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM WERE IMPOSED ON US TO SEPARATE US FROM THIS KNOWLEDGE AND TO SEE OURSELVES AS ''SINNERS'' WHO MUST BE ''SAVED'' BY SOME WHITE MAN OR ARAB PROPHET BEFORE WE CAN TRANSMIT BACK TO OUR HOME AFTER PASSING.

It is not surprising to me that modern research into the afterlife which shows that WE ALL SURVIVE SO-CALLED DEATH AND MOVE INTO THE SPIRITUAL REALM - OUR REAL HOME, shows almost complete alignment with traditional and ancient African belief systems.

DEATH DOES NOT HAPPEN.

WE ARE IMMORTAL BEINGS LIVING A TEMPORAL HUMAN EXISTENCE. ONCE WE 'DIE' WE SIMPLY SHED OUR PHYSICAL HUMAN BODY, BUT OUR CONSCIOUSNESS AND AWARENESS REMAIN INTACT AND IN FACT ARE GREATLY EXPANDED BACK TO THEIR PREVIOUS STATE, WHICH FAR SURPASSES OUR CURRENT STATE OF AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS AS HUMANS.

WHOEVER TELLS YOU YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN 'JESUS' OR 'MUHAMMED' OR ANYBODY ELSE, IN ORDER TO BE ''SAVED'' IS A LIAR AND A DECEIVER AND YOU MUST REJECT THEM.

TRANSITING BACK TO YOUR REAL HOME UPON PASSING IS YOUR RIGHT AS A SOUL, AND NOBODY TAKES THAT AWAY FROM YOU BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU ''BELIEVED'' OR DID NOT ''BELIEVE'' AS AN IMPERFECT HUMAN WITH LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF ANYTHING.
You have said it all.

Up till now, i still wonder and ponder what happens when we die. This question keeps hiting my mind every single time
Let me tell you about us...

We're all gods... but being a god and living eternally gets boring, so we created the physical plane...were life is finite, and we're mortal. We can feel (good and bad emotions), fall in love, cherish life, because we have limited time... So, before we go into the physical plane as a baby, we wipe out our memory, so we can totally enjoy being mortals. There is a glitch in the system we created sometimes, which makes us experience dejavu, because as gods, in our original state, we are omniscient, we know everything (even things that are yet to happen, or currently happening).

So, when we die, we don't really die, the virtual reality game we created ends, and we go back to the spiritual plane, where we existed before, in our godlike form... and laugh and joke about experience in the physical plane.

Most women live in dreamland thinking they are the shit, forgetting they have a biological clock, after 35 years the chances of getting pregnant reduces to 10 percent and ivf is 25,000 usd for starters.
This is so true. I didn't understand this when I was younger, until time showed me how desperate unmarried females in their mid to late 30s can be.

CandyOps:
I don't understand you, bros. It's like saying, "since you like smoking why don't you smoke openly and walk around with a lighter everywhere you go."

Perception is everything bro. How people see you and the image you project is everything. So if Nigerians see an irreligious person as 'satanic' why would I want to associate myself to that image?

Even Jay-Z said, "Niggas couldn't do nothing with me; they put the devil on me
I'd have preferred niggas to squeeze the metal on me"

Christians tend to talk down on Moslems for being radical especially when you blasphem. But they on the other hand cant stand it when someone becomes illuminated and sees religion for what it is. They'll literally bannish you amongst them.

See what they (religious people) did to Salman Rushdie because of a novel he wrote decades ago called The Satanic Verses.

I don't engage superstitious folks at all.
I don't like to be a bearer of bad news.

Because accepting a new truth has stages.

Every problem passes through three stages on the way to acceptance: First, it appears laughable; second, it is fought against; third, it is considered self-evident.

When people are told a Truth that shocks their core values the first reaction is Denial or you laugh about it.

Then you'll vehemently deny it because it means to say that everything they have ever believed in their lives was wrong

And people don't like being wrong or 'stupid'

So when you front your irreligious views and show people certain truths you'll be at the receiving end of that hatred. Which is why superstitious people dread atheists and irreligious people.

Then you have gradual acceptance because it's evident but you never had someone show it to you in a different angle before

I only engage in religious topics if I notice you have passed at least the first 2 stages of dealing with the shock of accepting the truth.

The same trend is currently happening with Peter Obis movement in Nigeria.

We first laughed at his ambitions..
Then he's being fought
Next thing is gradual acceptance because even the blind can see that our country needs a COMPLETE OVERHAUL
You ruined your beautiful write-up at the end with this political talk.

Most atheists are never bold to come out, just some online gragra but in reality they hide their heads in shame which brings me to ask why would a sane person practice what he/she isn’t proud of?
First of all, it is not a practice...not being religious doesn't mean you're practicing anything.

Also, you say they hide...you want religious fanatics to label them devil worshipers and beat them to death abi?
Christianity EtcRe: Do You Fake Being A Christian As An Atheist In Nigeria? by olab059(m): 8:05pm On Aug 14, 2022
I used to find it hard to fake it when I first became an atheist 12 years ago. It's hard to fake it in the early stages, cos you just discovered you've been lied to all your life, and you want everyone else to know the truth. But as you get older, and you figure out you can't force people to see what you see, they have to find enlightenment on their own...you also see that, like the only sober guy in a car filled with tipsy people, you're killing everyone's vibe. Ignorance is bliss. So, eventually, after maybe 5-7 years, you discover it is better to fake it. It's hard for religious people to get you, so just blend in and be happy with them. But me blending in doesn't affect my beliefs.

Or are policemen and Nigerians killed by the violent protest mob not human beings, or Nigerians?
I saw a video of one police man killed in lagos before that Lekki incident...it was like horror movie...they stabbed him in the eye and as he was running away, they kept using big stick to hit his head, while the knife was still in his eye. So barbaric. Order really needed to be restored at that point, cos similar stuff was happening all over lagos.

easier said than done. You've never owed these loan apps so you don't know how it works.

Before this time next month the interest would have doubled to make that money over 600k.

What I will say is...you can hardly get out of the debt by your own power, and no one person can help you out of it. It takes divine intervention. I'm not saying you have to be super religious, cos I wasn't and still am not. But you just have to believe that that things will get better...while doing your best, just believe that something will happen to elevate you out of the mess you're in, and it will gradually happen, or happen all of a sudden all in one day. Just believe. But don't let the thought of the debt consume you, cos the more you think of your debt, the deeper you sink in it. Cos what you think about is what you attract. Just focus on getting money, and believe that things will work out.

Let's try not to over spiritualize basic stuff. The best way to get out of debts is

1. Stop taking loans (except for profitable capital investment ) and

2. Be determined to pay your existing debts.

Doing the opposite was what got you in debt in the first place, not some devil or demon.
The first question I have for you...Have you ever been in a similar situation before? Have you ever been owing multiple loan apps that keep calling you every day? Yes or No?
FamilyRe: How can I stop my wife from divorcing me? by olab059(m): 12:14pm On Aug 08, 2022
OP, I've been in your shoes before...my debt was similar to yours, about 390k total, from 4 loan apps. One of them disgraced me by sending messages to very vital contacts, and made my case is even worse. I was planning on killing myself as the debt kept rising, and I didn't have any means of paying back.

I would pay back little by little every time I got money, but it wasn't much, and it was like trying to use basket to fetch water. This went on for like 2 years, and I thought things would never get better. But there was a little part of me that was optimistic. I just kept pushing...kept looking for ways to get money, kept praying, kept working, even though the money I was making wasn't that much at the time. Then one day, I collapsed. I ended up in the hospital for 4 weeks...I wasn't getting better, and I thought I was going to die.

Doctors didn't even know what was wrong with me...all the people I knew in the world came to my aid, making calls to special doctors to find out what was wrong with me, and they were also donating money. But still, I was getting worse. I kept praying, and then one day, all of a sudden, the thing that was wrong with me stopped, and I got better. I was discharged the next day, and I had 600k in my account from all the donations from people that I was meant to use for hospital bills, but I was no longer sick. The first thing I did was pay up all the debt, and from then on, things started getting really better for me. Imagine, even the loan app that sent disgraceful texts to my contacts keep calling me, asking when I will collect another loan. They still called me on Saturday, but I'm not going back.
