plaetton: What an irony.
Buhari is the greatest threat to Nigerian unity since the civil war.
All the nation building, the Pan- Nigerianism stitched together over the past 16 years has been shredded in just the past 1 year.
Buhari appears as someone who is so angry at the mere thought of a truly United Nigeria.
With great haste, he is dismantling every thread of national unity and cohesion.
Buhari , like an army of occupation, treats Nigeria and Nigerians like the booties of war, with great disdain. Facts. |

There's this generally acknowledged Maxim; the law is made for man and not man for the law. If this is absolute truism, we can also conveniently agree with the common saying that " no man is above the law"
Section 14(3) of 1999 Constitution of Nigeria as amended goes thus: " The composition of the Government of the Federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner as to effect the Federal Character of Nigeria and the need to promote national unity, and also command national loyalty thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few States or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in that Government or in any of its agencies" These are the letters of the laws that guide our collective resolve to live as a united nation but from available facts and figures, President Buhari has not only trampled on our constitution, he has sown a seed of discord which, if care is not taken, may germinate to produce harvests of disunity and disenchantment. In the early stage of Buhari's administration when tongues began to wag about his seemingly sectional appointments, one could remember how Femi Adeshina came out vociferously to play down such postulation. According to him, it was too early in the day to draw such damning conclusion citing the fact that only a few of appointments had been made. Twelve months down the lane, the drum is sounding louder and only Femi Adeshina and Buhari's aides would feign deafness to its rhythm.
How do we explain a situation where the SGF, Chief of Staff, the NSA, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, the Acting IGP, the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Comptroller General of Customs, Comptroller General of Immigration. the Director General of the DSS-all coming from a section of the country? Who amongst Buhari's apologists and praise-singers would be bold enough to waive these aberations aside as mere happenstance? For a president that rode to power on the toga of integrity and uprightness to make a mockery of a prominent part of the Constitution under the guise of meritocracy and loyalty, this should attract resounding condemnations from those who truly love Nigeria and the preservation of its sovereignty and egalitarianism.
If this abnormality is allowed to fester, Nigeria may tilt toward a point of no return. |

KenModi: I have said it before that, APC and PDP are one and the same.
Those of you killing yourselves and fighting each other on social media over one of these parties are FOOLS of the highest order.
See APC claiming to be fighting corruption, cannot organize a free and fair primaries while the so-called biggest opposition party in the country is organizing two primaries in one state for one election.
Chai! Since 1999 Nigerians have been scammed, first by PDP, after that APC took over.
The only way out for us is to fight for yourselves and reject both parties come next election
APC and PDP dey scam us at the same time! Sorry to disagree a little with you. APC and PDP are never the same. While PDP indeed has its baggage of rots, APC is an assembly of satanic individuals who are wolves but parade themselves as sheep. Don't forget that their master, Satan is the master of pranks. There's nothing they accuse PDP of, that's not prevalent (in higher proportion) in their midst. |

Always magnifying Nigeria's economic, political and sociocultural upheavals just to underplay his administration's incompetence and naivety. I have never seen a leader (a septuagenarian for that matter) who's so comfortable blaming others for his own ineptitude. He magnifies every situation to draw the sympathy of Nigerians and the rest of the world. This man will go down as the worst president Nigeria has ever produced if he continues in this ignominious blame games. What a leader! |

freeze001: Long stories and contradictory tales. I thought d meeting was at d behest of d president who was supposed to be at the venue?
I'm not surprised though cos it showed Nigerians early on the kind of representatives they voted thar would rather elevate mere party functions over their constitutional duties which includes d inauguration of the Senate. They were expecting the Senate to be on hold for them because they're d almighty APC Don't mind that man. They often take Nigerians for fools by coming up with childish explanations when caught in the web of miscalculated gaffes. Having seen the potentiality of the party's candidate loosing woefully against Saraki, they surreptitiously conveyed that meeting to thwart the impending doom but ended up complicating matters. The meeting was called to prevent the Senate leadership election from taking place It was a gamble that boomeranged. |

sumborri: and you expect APC to fight APC? Can PDP your party fight PDP? Do you fight your own family? How do you reason. When a theif is being accused and tried do we say why are we trying this theif, whatabout judges who are theives, what about lawyers who are theives, what about the theives who might be in the court room. do we now free the accused and chase all the above? APC is in power and byy common sense they likely to face the theives in PDP. At least these people aren't being accused unfairly. They actually did the crime. Thus wait and hope like me, let them root out all theives in PDP and make the party a good party of upright people, so come 2019 we can vote for PDP and start chasing the theives in APC. What should concern you as a nigerian is that the theieves stealing our common patrimony is reducing. Stop being a partisan beclouded nigerian Then what's the meaning of "I am for everybody but for nobody"? Overlooking atrocities of people in APC will lead to Buhari's downfall. Mark my words. |

You will be grateful that the corrupt people are reducing irrespective of which party is being hunted. If you were wise you would expect this trend never ends with apc having the day of their prosecuution too. Today you should rejoice the theives in pdp are being wiped off, the people being accused in the pdp are being wrongly accuused ? Did they not do wat they are accused of ? You should be ashamed of urself If indeed you wish the nation well, you'll be advising Buhari to make his fight against corruption all-encompassing and holistic. Else if not, you will just be happy the theives are reducing. And don't care about the selectiveness. If another party enters by 2019 by god's grace, let them probe all apc and jail all looters. The point is corruption is dying and its death will visit everybody irrespective of party one day. This is pdp turn. And you think going after only the "PDP thieves" is the best way of fighting corruption while APC looters walk free? Common! |
