PoliticsRe: I Remain Committed To Opposing The Buhari administration And APC- Fani Kayode by OLADD: 5:05pm On Jul 17, 2016
That's the spirit FFK. Never succumb to the forces of oppression. Those scheming to turn Nigeria into one party State by stiffening the voices of opposition would meet their waterloo at the appointed time.
PoliticsRe: My Approval Ratings Are Still High – President Buhari by OLADD:
Always meandering like someone that's completely lost in the wilderness. When questioned on A, the man would swerve into line B. And for God's sake, can someone remind the president that insecurity is not limited to Boko haram? Instead of throwing up his hands in defeat and admitting failure, he goes on the usual escapist excuses. Yes, transition is sometimes accompanied with pains but in your own case Sir, the pain is as a result of your incompetence and incurable sectionalism .All the grandstanding of becoming the president for more than 12 years was nothing but mere egoistic desire to be called "Your Excellency". It's only in Africa that someone would contest for the presidency at 5 different occasions and still end up acting like a leaner when given the opportunity to serve. This man was raised (like Saul in the bible) just to punish the nation for its sins.

I can't remember the last time you informed Nairalanders that you're now a local herbalist. Oshiomole would become the first APC governor to hand over reign of leadership to the opposition in Nigeria.
PoliticsWhen Hunters Can Become The Hunted; The Turkish Coup Experience. by OLADD(op):
Many times have we alerted fellow compatriots and those at the helms of affairs that those wittingly deploying State apparatus (DSS, EFCC, Soldiers, Police etc) to oppress and harrass the opposition under whatever guise can become victims of their own machinations.

International TV screens were awash this morning with footages of soldiers involved in the attempted coup in Turkey been accosted by ordinary "bloody civilians" enroute military detention. What an irony! Can someone ever imagine ordinary citizens arresting fully kitted soldiers?

What's the lesson here? Let oppressors, despots and maximum rulers have it at the back of their minds that someday, somehow the table can turn against them and the hunters becoming the hunted.

Leaders should cultivate the habit of endearing themselves to the hearts of the led through purposeful, impacting, poverty-alleviating and nation building policies instead of bullying and scapegoating those perceived to be political opponents under the pretence of fighting corruption. Chasers can suddenly become the chased. A word is enough for the wise.

IVORY2009:
Why is it trash
This is no trash my friend. Let's try to dissect topics before jumping to conclusions.

Can you take your mind back to Obasanjo's era when Senate Presidents(Wabara, Okadigbo, Anyim etc) were removed unceremoniously from office as a result of frosty Executive-Legislature relationship? If the President, Governors and their deputies can enjoy some protection from unnecessary distractions, Senate leadership should also be saved from the strangle of Executive victimization. What's good for the goose is also good for the gander. Chikenna.

Good question

For me, the fact that nigeria hasnt turned into another venezuela is a big plus. Many do not know how close we came to chaos under the former slowpoke, coupled with the lowest oil price in decades + massive corruption

Fighting corruption
Respect for the rule of law
Refusing to intervene in any and every political matter no matter how trivial
Forcing contractors to complete the jobs they have already been paid for
Maintaining and upholding nigeria's foreign interests
Destroying and decimating boko haram to its barest minimum
Ensuring the country's togetherness
Investing in the youth through several governmental programs
Refusing to interfere with the judiciary

To name but a few
I am sure a part of your body, soul and spirit is telling you virtually everything you mentioned is a lie. We leave you to your conscience.

PoliticsRe: Lists of some of the Achievement of Past President Goodluck Jonathan by OLADD: 5:15pm On Jul 14, 2016
Only sadists and mentally impaired elements would discountenance GEJ's laudable achievements in office. Efforts by the new emperor and his janjaw'ed party to rubbish his legacies would end in futility. No power can prevent the sun from shining.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Has Only Fulfilled One Campaign Promise – Buharimeter by OLADD:
Lies from the pit of hell. Buhari hasn't fulfilled any of his campaign promises. Rather, he's using the so-called corruption fight as ploy to pull down the opposition and further coverup his docility and incompetence Those praising him for witchunting perceived enemies in the name of fighting corruption while pampering his party cronies, are the real enemies of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Govt’s 45% Electricity Price Hike Illegal, Court Declares by OLADD: 3:31pm On Jul 13, 2016
Fashola was aware of a subsisting order against hike in electricity tariff on assumption of office but still went ahead with the increase. The man is obviously been controlled by a wicked and oppressive demon. How someone derives pleasure in making life difficult for others is a mystery to me.
Foreign AffairsRe: David Cameron Carries His Luggage As He Moves Out Of State House (picture) by OLADD: 12:20am On Jul 13, 2016
Oyinbo people and their simplicity. They don't serve God the way we pretend to do here in Africa, yet their ways of life are made in heaven. No mundane thing attracts their fancy in any way. Always contented , self-fulfilling and natural.

But looking at that picture very closely, did anybody read any meaning from the luggage Cameron was carrying? I guess he was simply telling May (the incoming PM) to handle Brexist with care. In other word, Britain's economy and European status are now more fragile than ever.

Hausubilahi. When Reinhard Bonnke Crusade pictures were used to deceive some gullible Nigerians as the pictures of APC's campaign in Kano Buhari didn't raise an eyebrow. Don't worry, these are the handworks of your 2015 social media apprentices who have now become gurus, so, enjoy it while it lasts.

Instead of condemning a heinous genocidal crime, all a senseless govt can do is to embark on trivialities. Arrant nonsense!

So you don't know the stock-in-trade of this propagandist government? This is just to massage the ego of their zombie followers and give the impression of a working government. NNPC and co are declaring profit, yet kerosene is been sold at N300 per litre to common Nigerians. Billions are reportedly been recovered but cost of living is skyrocketing on daily basis. The Isrealites murmured for a king and God gave them Saul.
PoliticsRe: Call For Buratai's Sack: CESJET Carpets Falana by OLADD: 11:44pm On Jul 10, 2016
While I firmly believe Falana deserves the bashing he has been receiving lately from different quarters, what I detest is how this bunch of id1ots called CESJET are muddling corruption with fight against terrorism. Why is this country filled with moronic individuals who take the entire nation for a fool? Should we close our eyes to Buratai's corruption allegations just because of his antiterrorism feat? Was the "defeat" of Boko haram tied solely to Buratai's singular effort? Whether CESJET likes it or not, any further attempt by Buhari to sweep Buratai's looting under the carpet will attract the wrought of God upon him and his government.

When the desirable is unavailable, the available becomes the desirable.

Meanwhile, if you expect Nigerians to fight back when pushed to the wall, you're joking. An average Nigerian would use his head to break the wall and continue walking instead of fighting back.

If Fayose and his aides are evil men, what adjective will you use to describe Buratai, Jafaru (Buhari's associate) and other APC stalwarts who are walking free despite damning evidence of looting hanging on their necks?

My problem with people like you is your inability to learn from history. The end of despots, discriminatory and oppressive rulers is always brutal and shameful. I can assure you that Buhari's end would be more catastrophic than that of Samuel Doe.
PoliticsRe: Only Few Nigerians Are Complaining Of Going Through Hardship – Femi Adesina by OLADD: 7:30pm On Jul 09, 2016
ivandragon:
Enough of the blame game. If everything the PDP did for 16 yrs was rubbish with no positives. then I expect the APC to:
1. Reverse the deregulation of the telecom sector;
2. Reverse minimum wage to pre-1999 levels
3. Reverse the partial deregulation of the power sector & shut down the power plants built within the period
4. Stop/scrap all rail projects undertaken post 1999
5. Scrap the automobile policy that has revived/created over 14 assembly plants
6. Reverse the recapitalization of the banking sector
7. Review all bilateral & multilateral agreements post 1999
8. Reverse agricultural policies (including Fadama & dry season farming
9. Reintroduce the corrupt practice of fertilizer allocation
10. Scrap all public educational institutions created post 1999
11. Scrap UBEC, TETFund, SME & other similar programmes introduced post 1999
12. Sack all public servants employed post 1999
13. Scrap the NIGCom sat programme
14. Scrap the SWF & ECA (investment & savings accounts)
15. Reverse petroleum & associated products prices to pre 1999 rates
16. Stop all road contracts awarded post 1999
17. Reverse all policies that led to the growth of the entertainment & ICT industries
18. Reset INEC to pre 1999 performance levels...
19. Repudiate the rebasing of the economy & exclude sectors that have been captured in the tax bracket
20. Stop TSA & IPPS
21. Scrap the 13% derivation payments
22. Seek to repeal the FIB
23. Fully scrap the amnesty programme
24. Destroy all weapons purchased post 1999
25. Remove all upgrades done to the airports
26. Destroy all grain silos built post 1999
27. Shut down all teaching hospitals built or upgraded post 1999 & reverse all policies in the sector.
28. Scrap EFCC, ICPC, FIU etc established post 1999
In fact, reset the Nigerian socioeconomic & political landscape to pre 1999 levels. Only then can people appreciate the 'damage' done by the PDP to Nigeria. After all, why 'build' on a totally rubbish foundation?
You're a genius. So proud of you.
PoliticsRe: Dele Momodu: "I Don't Care If All Buhari's Appointments Come From Daura" by OLADD:
Dele Momodu is fast loosing his esteemed regards and it won't be long before he sinks to the abyss of yesterday men.

To start with, there seems to be a similarity between the way Abacha packaged Buhari to power in 1983 and how Dele Momodu and his clique of Yesmen repackaged a "reformed" Buhari to Aso Rock in 2015. The nation was pranked into believing that a messiah had come only to quickly realise how gullible they were. In this regard, we do not need any clairvoyant to predict how Buhari's exit would be announced on or before May 29, 2019.

Secondly, instead of wailing like a child stiffened of coveted breast milk, Dele Momodu should bury his head in shame for fooling fellow citizens into investing their time and PVC in electing an over hyped Buhari in 2015. This clearly shows that the likes of Dele Momodu are nothing but mere empty barrels who shouldn't be taken serious any longer by patriotic Nigerians. It further accentuates the fact that Dele Momodu knew virtually nothing about the personality of Buhari, yet he led his army of praise singers in the buildup to the elections.

Dele Momodu, Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana, Omojuwa, et al are just a bunch of attention seekers with no signature of known ideology. They give the impression of knowing a lot about the Nigerian evolution but end up like common men on the street.

May God help us in Nigeria. These are the tales we would be hearing in the next 3 years and I just pity our people for falling for these pranks on daily basis. This government has perfected the act of saturating the media with stories of looted funds just to take people's attention away from its poor governance and stark failure. How crafty can a leader be!

Can somebody ask the long-throathed human beings what Buhari did in one year that Jonathan failed to do in six years. These are the sycophants that sacrifice future of their communities on the altar of politics and personal aggrandizement. Usurpers!
