This is a good development. Where is Femi Falana our defender of the universe this time around? When soldiers were accused of betrayers and indiscipline leading to their court marshal in the last govt, APC and their unconscientious supporters including Falana did not allow the world to hear words. In their usual shallow myopia, instead of calling a spade by its name by condemning the soldiers' act of sabotage, they premised the accused soldiers' actions on lack of ammunition to fight. Ironically, under the nose of Mr. Integrity, his body language couldn't prevent these unscrupulous elements from selling ammunitions to Boko haram and other militants. A top police officer who was reprimanded for facilitating the escape of Kabiru Sokoto was even reinstated by Buhari on assumption of office! As God Almighty lives, every lie and politicking embarked upon by Buhari and APC to hijack power would turn against them in droves and the whole world would know that it doesn't pay to do evil.

As regards empowering OPC to secure pipelines, are you not surprised that Buhari has decided to empower ex-militants to secure the nation's oil installations having seen deficiencies in our armed forces ? Were civilian JTF members not deployed to compliment the military in fighting Boko haram?

And let me further ask you this; how many times did Buhari condemn Boko haram before he became the president? Have you forgotten how he openly castigated Jonathan's govt for killing Boko haram members?

No matter how you hate Jonathan, no sane human being would fault his civility, humbleness, tolerance, temperance and humane nature. He who God has blessed, no man can curse.

I have deliberately avoided commenting on this Aisha's US trip because of its petty nature but after reading comments from different camps on the holabaloos it has generated so far, I can't but satisfy my curiosity by asking the following questions;

1. Even if the said trip is private as APC apologists want us to believe, why was the wife of the president completely shut out by US govt and any of its official protocols? It's a national disgrace for our No. 1 woman to be ignored like plaque by any foreign govt on their own soil. Let's not forget it's wife of the president of the most populous black nation on earth we are talking about here.

2. Why was there no official statement from the govt of Nigeria informing its citizens of the President's wife itenary outside the country knowing how her movements within the country were always heralded with fun and pageantry?

While I still don't believe that the trip is a scam, some things don't seem to add up in the entire narratives.

The same way "the presidency will not condone any banditry by herdsmen" yet scores of Nigerians are been mowed down on daily basis.

If this budget padding saga had been a PDP affair, Lai Mohammed and Buhari would have made a mountain out of mere molehill but since the APC saints are involved, this deafening silence and indifference attitude are expected. Fighting corruption my foot! Hypocrites!

Under whose watch was forex priced out of the reach of average Nigerians including those schooling abroad? Was the last govt responsible for increase in the price of kerosene, petrol and foodstuffs? There's nowhere in the Bible where pilgrimage is commanded while Quran specifically prescribes it for those who have the financial capability.

Very daft response from a direction-less govt. Whether the policy was approved three or ten months ago is inconsequential but its impact on the nation's economy. In a country faced with acute forex contraption the last decision a reasonable govt can take is to subsidise voluntary pilgrimage and increase pressure on its currency.

OP, ask yourself if your post really makes sense. You're praising the president for been slow and meticulous yet you ignored the fact that despite the delay and so-called scrutiny, the president still went ahead to sign a padded budget into law.

The padding disclosures in the National Assembly is not borne out of Buhari's ingenuity but power play amongst conflicting blocs. Nobody would have known anything about the fraud if there was no fight between Jubrin and Dogara. Simple.

Having realised his incapability in solving Nigeria's economic problems, the president's effort is now geared toward diverting the attention of citizens to his so called vindictive and selective anti-corruption crusade. At least this would keep Nigerians busy and prevent a repeat of OCCUPY NIGERIA.
