massinola:Only cowards keep mute when evil engulf the land. Fayose was only exposing the true nature of Buhari to low-brains like you. Amaechi did more than these to Jonathan and your gods did not kill him. Only the will of God shall prevail on Fayose's life. OK? |
Pavore9:What indiscipline? That's how some of you arrogates self-efforts and self-discipline to your successes in life. Etim Esin might have made some mistakes but he was just an unfortunate dude during his playing days. There were so many sport personalities who did not deserve prosperity because of their lifestyles but God showered mercy and successes on them. If you succeed in life, it's by God grace and not by been careful or self-controlled. There are so many 2:1 graduates who earns stipends while Third Classed are swimming in millions. May God shower His grace on us. Etim Esin was down but he's back on his feet. |
Aspiring for lofty political, economic and leadership positions is commendable but never aspire for positions you don't have the wherewithal to handle. This govt has beaten more than it can chew. |
Spending one's ample time in highlighting the unpreparedness and inefficiencies of this adminstration is a waste of energy and data. Events in the last 5 months (or 8 months post election) only point to one altruism; Buhari cum APC never had a handy blueprint on how to tackle Nigeria's economic, political and sociocultural upheavals even while in opposition. All the talks about change at different symposia and fora were nothing but mere rhetorics and hoax. APC CAN BE LIKENED TO A CAT THAT BECAME UNUSUALLY FRIENDLY TO AN OLD WOMAN JUST FOR THE PURPOSE OF STEALING FROM HER POT. However, one great lesson we all have to learn (most especially online gladiators and poor students of Nigerian history) is never to fall for politicians' propaganda. |
We alerted Nigerians about APC and Buhari's scam prior to the last elections but 15million people failed to listen. Where is the drone pipeline surveillance this govt promised and hyped in the media at their inception? How come Lai Mohammed is no more talking about "cluelessness" in securing lives and properties in Nigeria? APC must fully bear the brunt of ascending to power through falsehood. It's a matter of time. |
Tundenoni:It seems the preelection veil APC and Buhari deployed in deceiving nincompoops like you is yet to be completely removed. For your information, kid-brains like you who knew little or nothing about Nigerian history were the ones who wrongly believed that Jonathan failed. And for those who rode to power while deceiving gullible blockheads like you, how has the nation faired in their 6 months in power? Put on your thinking cap and stop talking like a toddler. OK? |
moodswing:Very true. GEJ really renewed my faith in Nigeria's unity. He was such a detribalised and peace loving President. There were many times I rose up and recited the National Anthem conscientiously each time GEJ appeared at public functions when he was president God Bless him. |
OP, there's no need to add or subtract from your well-thought out piece. May God Almighty bless you and may the legacies of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan live long in the annal of our history. Happy Birthday our amiable GEJ. |
feeloscar:What a reasoning! In your blind thrust to defend a misfiring govt, statements of this nature tends to raise dust about your level of intelligence. So if the contract was actually signed by the last administration, shouldn't commonsense dictate that a thorough review was carried out by Buhari before hurriedly implementing it? Is this how Nigerian wealth will be cornered into people's pockets knowing fully well that we have a manipulable and insensitive president? Obviously, Buhari did not know the full picture of the TSA before sanctioning its implementation. Period. |

juman:The only spirit that eats fried rice and drinks Five Alive juice. |
Thank you OP. This is one of the reasons I hate APC with passion. If there's anything I detest to my bone marrow, it's hypocrisy. This attests to the fact that APC and their praise-singers are the most devilish personalities around. Blaming and condemning others for the same evil committed by them is the most despicable thing on earth but they get away with it because the 15million Nigerians that voted for the party have the same personalities . If anybody is looking for the twin-brother of APC, it's Satan. They are wolves in sheep's skin. |
temitemi1:Do you know how many billions allegedly stolen under his watch as head of state? Wait and see what Tinubu, Ameachi, Fashola and the other pretenders will do to Mr Body Language in the next 4 years. |
eyesofgod:Thank you Oshokomole, the only spirit that eats jollof rice. Whether Buhari/APC likes it or not, the voice of opposition can never be quelled. Some of us who constantly expose the hypocrisy and evil in APC (and their supporters both in social and conventional media) had faced (and are still facing ) persecutions in our locality but we remain unperturbed. By the grace of God, darkness will not prevail over light. |
PassingShot:Your comments are quite amusing. If you term Olisa Metu's harmless criticisms as "negative", how do you now rate the many nation-destroying, propagandist and deceitful comments made by Lai Mohammed and APC before and even after attaining power. I am not a member of PDP but I follow Nigerian politics with keen interest. Pls be objective and stop sentiments. |
PassingShot:PDP never blamed Buhari for Golden Eaglets victory. The president was castigated for not entrenching youth empowerment policies in his roadmap in contrast to the sacrifice made by the youth in enthroning his presidency. Try to understand people's position before condemning them. |
malton:I have followed Opposition politics for years and I can't attribute any of those listed anomalies to the PDP in the last 8 months. Olisa Metu and PDP have been reasonable and patriotic in their actions and inactions so far. That's a departure from the "destroy the nation to get power' politics played by Lai Mohammed and APC before the March 28 elections. |
PassingShot:That's a conclusion that lacks empirical evidence. Do you know how many States and Legislative Seats under the control of PDP? |
The much awaited PDP National Conference holding at Thisday Dome, Abuja is currently live on AIT. This event will go a long way for the party to chart a new course for its reassessment, remoulding, rebranding and reinvigoration in preparation for the battle to reclaim the Presidency in 2019. Happy viewing. |
It depends on what angle we are dissecting the statements made by Dokpesi and FFK from. The later was right for saying that PDP did not make any mistake fielding Jonathan as the presidential candidate in the last election in view of his moderate performance in office (compared with those of his predecessors) and also combining it with the fact that it would have amounted to an unparalleled ridicule if a sitting president had been asked to step down after one term in office. However, the north felt aggrieved on the possibility of the presidency slipping from their hands till 2019 in defiance of PDP's Constitution and that synchronised with the statement made by Dokpesi. Whichever way we look at it, PDP found itself in a dilemma and quagmire in the last election and they paid dearly for our politics of ethnicity (turn-by-turn democracy). |
Phatbutty:I will not dignify you with retributive and provocative response. However, name one aspect of this administration that's youth tailored. Else, may your life be run on deceit and propaganda. |
billyG:Obviously you didn't read the entirety of my post. Did the ministerial composition suggest youth representation in the upcoming cabinet? |
Kuwaitboy:Your moniker says it all. You're indeed from Kuwait but living in fools' Paradise in Nigeria. For your attention, I have never commented on PremiumTimes as insanely alleged. It seems you woke up from the wrong side of your mat today. |
It only goes to show that Buhari was a complete alien to economic, political and sociocultural architecture of Nigeria despite toiling day and night to rule the country for over 12 years. It portrays a leader who's totally naive and uncoordinated. He's now been auto piloted by the post election transition committee he set up before his inauguration. Whatever they ask him to do is what he does. Completely lost on how to kick start economic revamp. |
Timbuktou:You are the one that's spewing trash. What insane crash course did you take from Lai Mohammed? Crash course of lie and blatant deceit? As a youth, can you beat your chest and proclaim Lai Mohammed as a role model for the younger generation? Olisa Metu was saying the obvious by exposing Buhari's disdain for youth empowerment as typified in his incoming ancestral cabinet. If lie and ignominious propaganda is your own type of acceptable crash course, good luck to you. |
sleazy5:Okorocha should tell Nigerians if it was in PDP state a sitting governor spent N78 million on ordinary website and N300 million on a borehole. Bunch of deceitful elements. |
Dannyset:Take it or leave it, APC is not yet a (national) party. It was just a pawn in the chestboard of taking over power by all means. The party is an amalgamation of power mongers who never love or believe in themselves. Can't you see the unfolding events-infighting amongst APC members in the National Assembly, tussle for ministerial appointments, the shenanigans in Bayelsa APC and other states? It's a nest of enemies who came together to fight a common enemy. It's just a matter of time before they implode. |
Dannyset:Chief, I am not a PDP member but that party can never die in Nigeria. Many of you seem to know little about Nigerian politics but here is the caveat; the north rejected PDP the moment they discovered power would slip from their hands till 2019 and having seen APC as a veritable tool to checkmate that from happening, they quickly turned their back away from PDP. Let this be on records, the moment PDP throws up a better (manipulatable) northern candidate in 2019, APC would go into extinction. Many northern politicians are not comfortable with Buhari (and other APC stalwarts')personalities but sticking with them till 2019 for the sake of power is their best option. |
PassingShot:Dude, don't be too harsh. It was the soul of Nigeria as a nation that was defeated on Match 28. Jonathan or PDP was not the loser but the unity and egalitarianism of Nigeria. Mark my word. |
So PDP could still pull 20% of total votes in a predominantly APC state in the north despite all the vilifications from Buhari. I thought the babies on Nairaland and elsewhere say PDP is dead in Nigeria. |
We screamed to high heavens about APC's hoax. We drummed the impending doom APC was bringing into Nigeria thru Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Tinubu and other chameleons masquerading as agents of change to the ears of Nigerians but they never listened. Nigerians, you asked for a King and now you got Saul. Enjoy this unparalleled scam till 2019. |
QuotaSystem:Here you go again! Those vices you mentioned (impunity, embezzlement, deceit, mismanagement etc) are the second names of APC as a party. If there's any of their members (including Fasola, Fayemi, Okorocha, Kwankasso et al)who can swear with their lives and children of non-involvement in those societal ills, let them signify. My grouse with APC is their penchant for pretence and blaming PDP for what they too are engrossed with. PDP will never deceive the masses, they would never call others thieves knowing they too are culprits. APC is nothing but a cult of liars and satanic individuals. I hate pretence and deceit with passion. |
