The bad that Jonathans Administration did to Nigeria by far outweighs the good many times over. So how do you wish us to clsassify such an Administration: as a good one or a a bad one.

i doubt if there is any administration that does not have a few good things. It is the combination of the amount of good and bad and the final outcome that matters.
Pls endeavour to highlight those "bad things" Jonathan did which were different from the ones done by Buhari (in his first stint as a military head of state), IBB, Abacha. Abdusallam, Obasanjo and even the late Yaadua. Buhari who's now been revered as Mr. Corruption Fighter and "man of integrity" once said Abacha was not corrupt. Singling out Jonathan for slaughter is an injustice to mankind and gross disservice God.

Please enough with all this rubbish write ups. Jonathan ruled in a period of six years, and most of them, oil was selling at all time high record of about $100 dollars per barrel. Because of that high price crude oil, even with all the looting going on, the naira still mainlining its value not because of any special magic or due diligence. If the administration had really done a good job, naira should have even appreciated and our external reserve should have quadrupled. With all the high oil prices of about five years, Nigeria has nothing to show for it because all the money was looted.

While it may be true that we expect this present administration to stop giving is excuses and clear the mess on ground, it is also completely false to say the last administration is not responsible for the mess on ground: this quagmire in which we find ourselves as a a nation. if the last Administration is not responsible, then who is responsible. is this new government which is just seven months old?
We are a nation of highly religious but utterly ungodly people. Can you swear by your name that Jonathan's 6-year rule could not be associated with any meaningful development? Search your conscience. No matter what anybody says, he's still the best president Nigeria has ever had.

Nigeria is a country filled with hypocrites and "chichidodos".

A chichidodo is a bird (mythical) that hates faeces with passion but feeds on maggots that emerge from faeces. This is exactly what a vast majority of Nigerians are - Buhari included.

Buhari happily worked for one of the most despotic and corrupt governments in the history of the world, he defended the government at all times even after it ceased to exist. It is extremely embarrassing that such a person would have the a moral standing and talk about anticorruption or even fight corruption. Buhari has been a beneficiary of corruption all his entire life.

How would catholics feel if they found out the Pope once happily worked in an abortion clinic? How they would feel is the same way Buhari fans and all Nigerians should feel about President Buhari.
Sound and intuitive reasoning. Nigerians are expecting someone who labelled the fight against Boko haram as a fight against the north to foster a united nation. It's impossible.
Politics › Jonathan, It's Now The Time To Act Or Never! by OLADD(op):
Meekness is often regarded as one of the virtues required for greatness. It's also constantly recommended as a vital attribute needed to subdue retrogressive and negative forces. However, the history of mankind from time immemorial do not seem to support an overstretched imbibing of this attribute. If there's anything most vociferous critics of Jonathan would agree with, it was his display of uncommon meekness and civility both in private and official carriages. Unfolding event in the past 7 months is however pointing to the fact that the ex-president's strongest attribute is beginning to become his albatross and if care is not taken Jonathan would go down into oblivion as the worst president that ever ruled Nigeria no thanks to the campaign of calumny and character assassination been mounted against him by Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Tinubu, Oshiomole, Sagay, Ameachi and the entire APC leadership. No doubt Jonathan had his shortcomings just like any other leaders that have ruled the nation the rate at which he's been singled out as the sole architect of our national problems calls for concern.
How do we match the comment of a prominent northern leader, Sagay who sarcastically "advised" Jonathan to confess his sins to the saint of our time, Mohammadu Buhari who's gradually been revered as a Messiah whose garment is as white as a snow? Curiously, it was reported some weeks ago that one of Sagay's sons had headed for enlistment as a member of ISIS. On what moral ground is this SAN condemning the person of Jonathan? Agreed, Jonathan's govt might have indulged in some corrupt acts, singling him out as the most corrupt and condemnable leader is a crime many of his accusers had committed in the past. For record purpose, the present president, Buhari had at a time defended Abacha as a corruption free leader. One of the reasons Buhari seized power in 1983 was the alleged act of monumental corruption carried out by Alh. Shehu Shagari and his govt. Today, not only is Shagari walking free as an ex president, he's also been celebrated as an elderstateman. Why is Jonathan now been demonised by all and sundry?
Just yesterday, Lai Mohammed had the temerity to premise the ongoing protracted fuel hike and economic woes which has seen the naira plummeting to its lowest ebb from N145/dollar when Jonathan was in power to its present N180/dollar valuation on the ex-president's administration "sins.". It's amusing that a corrupt and clueless Jonathan govt was able to substantially stabilize the naira and also grew our economy to the largest in Africa, a feat never achieved hitherto but we now have a govt that portrayed itself as "the progressives" almost grinding the nation to a halt.

It's from above background that many of Jonathan's admirers are calling on the ex president to halt his deafening silence and defend himself from the vindictive satanic, condemnable and immoral tantrums been splashed to his face by characters who ordinarily should never be seen in the corridors of power talk less of been heard in the public. Jonathan should as a matter of urgency speak up on the corruption allegations which Buhari is now professional using to cover up his administration's ineptitude, incompetence and gross nativity. Even if some of the allegations are true, the president should be seen putting up a robust argument to justify some of the decisions he took while in office. In as much as he's not linked to any act that directly enriched his pocket, Jonathan should speak up and shut down these lousy mouths.

Don't worry, 2019 is around the corner. Past corruption allegations will be a child's play when compared to what APC and Buhari will unleash on Nigeria. If you think the money spent on his campaigns was from the moon, you will soon know the reality when his corrupt backers begin to ask for their Return on Investment. The REMITA/TSA fraud is a tip of the iceberg.

Yet Other Questions: 1. What is the propriety of Buhari's receipt of the putative SUVs ostensibly valued at about USD300,000 when the average man on the streets can barely afford three square meals?

What happened to the much vaunted assertion that Buhari is an man of moral rectitude and integrity who even refrained from receiving statutory entitlements as per pensions?
Stella Oduah was maligned and vilified for acquiring cars of similar nature with those given to Buhari. Why are we shifting the goalposts?

2. What is the connexion between the office of the NSA and the replacement of the status cars of past political office holders? In other words, is it Dasuki's call to replace Buhari or indeed any past office Holder's cars?

3. Why would Buhari accept cars that were not procured in conformity with due process? Was the SGF and other relevant government officials/agencies carried along before the ostentatious/exotic cars were purchased and delivered?

Questions all over the place...
Good points. It seems Buhari's integrity status is cosmetic and media-coined. He has failed various tests when it matters most.

Did Buhari return the old ones given to him four years ago before collecting new ones? Was there any statue that backs replacement of vehicles before the expiration of the normal four-year circle?
Politics › Buhari And The SUVs: The Unanswered Questions. by OLADD(op):
Few days ago, news from filtered in about the likelihood of Mr President soiling his hands in the much publicised Arms Fund Scandal. The President was alleged to have received covertly or otherwise from the office of the then NSA, Colonel Sambo Dasuki the sum of $300,000 and two numbers of SUVs in compensation for the "attack" suffered in the hands of Boko Haram few months to the 2015 general elections. Alarmed by the hues the mindboggling revelation was generating in the Social Media, the Presidency through the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina reactively released a statement denying the cash receipt allegation but alluded to the president's receipt of the SUVs cars. In a bid to completely wash the hands of the president from the allegation. the President's spokesman laid emphasis on the fact that the vehicles were received in conformity with relevant statutory provisions and this further throws up many unattended questions:

1. Allocation of Vehicles to past Heads of State and Presidents on 4-year circle is backed up by relevant Statutes but the question remains, were the two SUVs in question received by Buhari at the appointed time, that is after the expiration of the last circle?

2. The vehicles were allegedly collected from the Office of the then NSA, did Buhari undertake any due diligence in determining compliance with established government protocol and bureaucracy?

3. As a former Military ruler who thumps up himself as a man of "integrity", did Buhari endeavour to establish the source from where the vehicles were procured?

4. Throughout Mr. Jonathan's tenure as the President, Buhari was reported to have deliberately stayed away from National Council of States meeting citing disdain for the estwhile administration's corruption tendencies, what suddenly propelled Buhari into collecting gifts (statutory or not) from a govt he did not trust? What's the rationale for dealing with a corrupt govt in whatever capacity?

5. With these revelations, do we have any reason to further subject Mr. President's aura of Integrity to in depth scrutiny in view of recent developments where the president and his party surprisingly denied virtually all their campaign promises in the rundown to the last elections?

6. Do we need to impress on the president the need to resolve the mystery about his WAEC Certificate by asking him to compel the military to fish it out from their archive? It's surprising that 7 months into his administration, the president has not seen the need to bring up the certificate issue even as the Commander In Chief.

Those who live in glass houses should be careful in throwing stones and he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. The President should live by example both in truth and reality.

What do you know about govt bureaucracy? Who told you that the ONSA cannot delve into publicity? Whether you believe it or not, the NSA office is responsible for everything about the LIFE of any sitting govt including image laundering. Whatever it takes to ensure the govt retains power is his responsibility. Get that into your brain and stop thinking like stillborn babies OK? I am not moved a bit by your senseless tirade.

The so called security advice they paid 345m for was based on what? What other security work has the so called company done? Fear God o!
Are you kidding me? Whether my post makes sense to you or not is inconsequential but as far as I am concerned, I don't write for writing sake. The money was paid to DAAR Holdings Ltd a company owned by Dokpesi and he has explained what it was meant for. Whether you believe him or not is beyond your realm of judgement.
As regards the NSA office usurping the responsibilities of Information Ministry, the president can assign responsibility to whoever he deems fit depending on the level of trust. In Abacha's regime, the Chief of Staff was mostly sidelined in the scheme of things for the office of the then NSO (AlMustapha) due to perceived disloyalty. I am not inferring such scenario in Jonathan's administration but such cannot be completely ruled out. The court is there to establish what the money given to Iyochia Ayu was meant for. I stand by my post on Nairaland with 100% convictions.

Friend, I am a man of conscience who hates to support evil acts but equally stands for justice. If anybody is found to have deliberately embezzled security fund meant for the fight against insurgency, the laws of the land should take its full course. However, I am convinced before any doubt that Buhari and APC are just using issues surrounding the NSA office to nail political enemies who're seen as a treat to them. If you don't believe this, why didn't the president query the source of money used for his campaigns? Why didn't he act on petitions of corruption written against Ameachi and Fashola and submitted to his office and EFCC months before they were confirmed as Ministers? Do you know that Kwankwasso's injunction against arrest for corruption has not been appealed by either the presidency or EFCC? Who's fooling who? Security Votes both at Federal and State levels had always been deplored for issues other than security, an act that cut across all the States including the ones under the control of APC. There's also no prove that the funds been investigated were entirely meant to fight Boko haram. Buhari should first of all clean the rots in APC before making scapegoat out of PDP. That's my point.

One wonders where you kept your curiousity when Fashola told the whole nation that he should not be blamed for the N78millon and N300million Website and Borehole fraud simply because he "was not responsible for signing cheques" Did you ever ask where Fashola directed the funds to?
For your information, the NSA and any funds allocated to his office were not meant for the purchase of arms alone and don't be fooled to think that SECURITY is about the army, police and other security issues only. National Security also involves the media, social welfare, intra-religious conflicts, national image laundering etc.

1. Raymond Dokpesi has told the nation that the N2.1billion he collected was for the projection of Jonathan's administration's achievements and NOT EMPHATICALLY FOR PDP CAMPAIGN as you and other misguided APC liars have been peddling. In addition, it's not out of the NSA's jurisdiction to allocate money from the excess security vote for such purpose. If you know how costly media jingos and documentaries are, you wouldn't make any unnecessary noise about the so-called N2.1b.

2. The money given to Obiagbena and other media houses also falls within the responsibility of NSA's office as it concerned compensation for the erroneous military confistication of newsprints and terrorist attacks on some media houses. If the NSA was not justified in carrying out such function who else should have done that?

3. Anybody can offer security advise to the NSA and not necessarily limited to security experts alone.

Now let me ask you these salient questions;

a. Where did Buhari get his campaign funds which ran into billions of Naira from? Remember he had less than N1million in his account before the last elections.

b. How did APC governors spend the Security Votes allocated to their respective States in recent years?

c. From which sources was APC able to prosecute elections in Ekiti, Osun, Anambra, Ondo, Lagos and Ogun in recent years? Was is from the private pockets of its leaders?

Buhari and APC in connivance with uninformed commentators like you are just playing to the gallery. A thief should stop demonizing others as thieves.

There's a palpable fear that many Nigerians are either suffering from lack of retentive memory or have simply sold themselves to mischief of Buhari's govt. Anybody that blames Okonjo-Iwala for releasing fund to prosecute the insurgency war must be an enemy of Nigeria. How many of us remember when the opposition-manipulated Legislature vehemently frustrated Jonathan's loan request to purchase Arms and Ammunition for the Army? How many of us still recollect how the US blocked our attempt to purchase arms from Isreal and their allies? Have we forgotten how a cladenstine attempt to purchase arms from South Africa was blocked by Jacob Zuma in connivance with the opposition? If the former Finance Minister saw the exigency in releasing fund so that the war could be sustained, should Nigerians be calling for her head? Buhari and APC are about compromising our National Security in the name of politics the same way they rubbished the Army, Police, DSS and other institutions before the last election and I forsee danger ahead.
