Politics › Re: Why I Dumped PDP For APC — Ali Olanusi, Ondo Deputy Governor by OLADD: 3:56pm On Mar 26, 2015
One of the most inconsequential defections so far. Ondo State will not have a governorship election, hence his defection portends little or no significant impact on the decision of the people to vote Jonathan. PDP will score nothing less than 80% in Ondo State. I am absolutely sure of that.

Who dash monkey banana? But really should this kind of thing make news? Will Americans or any other westerners post where their presidential candidate is operating a computer? This really show how backward we are as a nation. If he cannot handle a computer how do you expect him to steer the ship of Nigeria effectively. Really this is dumb if the poster posted this to show us how advance or sophisticated Buhari is
There are too many kids on Nairaland.

Sai Buhari . Clueless GEJ would be confused in front of that PC.
I guess you hardly see the Federal Executive Council meetings on TV. Those laptops on the workstations of Mr.President and other members of the Executive are not mere decors.

Dele painted Enugu green? cheesy

That fat Nigga has definitely lost touch with reality
Dele Momodu is just one of those serial election loosers (just like his mentor Buhari) whose utterances and writings are based on personal emotions and sentiment rather than substance. He's a nobody as far as election result projection is concerned.
Politics › Re: GEJ Hates The Yorubas Says This Newspaper Advert by OLADD: 9:15am On Mar 26, 2015
kastonkastrol:
very true.... I just pity the gullible yoruba sons and daughters that are being deceived by this clueless president. Was it not the same jonathan that opened his smelling mouth to call the entire yoruba leaders rascals some years ago? Now the man is running amok in odualand because he wants our votes.

How many yoruba sons and daughters are even holding a reasonable position in his government? SMH
Your senile and unknown parents have just wasted their entire livelyhood in educating an animal like you. The president never abused the generality of yorubas but he indeed directed the said statement to Tinubu, Fashola and their fellow conmen whose actions and attitudes are nothing but rascally . Ironically, in your absolute stupidity, you did not mention the statement credited to Tinubu where he described Yoruba Obas as untrustworthy. Your absentmindedness does not avail you the opportunity of recollecting how the same Tinubu connived with some disgruntled elements in the House of Representatives to deny the southwest of Speakership position. The ongoing Ibadan expressway reconstruction project, is it not in the southwest? We know those who are working against the interest of Yorubas, certainly it's not Mr. President.

Something tells me this Nigerian military is doing nothing but deceiving Nigerians, and that's probably the reason behind the arrest of these Al-Jazeera journalists, so they don't expose them. All we keep hearing is Nigeria military has recaptured so so and so town with no solid evidence..

..And After watching the video released from their H/Quarters the other day, it became clearer they ve bn deceiving us all along.

wen u turn robot?
So the pictures of liberated towns and villages, recovered arms and dead Boko haram members (even posted here on Nairaland) are fake? Was the interview granted by Emir of Mubi confirming his return to the palace not real? Common!

GEJ is winning this elections for sure. I don't pray for any court to disqualifies Buhari because it might serve as an excuse for trouble makers to reject the results and create the parallel govt. they have been planning for. Please allow GEJ to trash this man neatly for the last and final time!
Yes, you are right. Buhari's political sojourn is better ended at the polling booths instead of in the court. Disqualification will still give him some bragging right.

Only women of virtues stand by their men through thick and thins. No wonder GEJ love am well well.

Buhari doesn't deserve southerners vote too, since his wife called Edo women prostitute. Equation balanced.
Buhari once stopped metro rail project in Lagos yet he wants Lagosians and other southwesterners to vote for him. He arbitrarily jailed prominent leaders from the southwest on thrumped up charges, yet he's seen traversing the region for votes.

If there's anybody who is 'scared' of Buhari, it's obviously not Fayose of Ekiti. Will a man who's afraid of someone continually give such a person less breathing space as Fayose is doing to Buhari?

Fayose will be disgraced out of office, mark my words.
Who will disgrace him out of office? You're too funny. Fayemi was more intelligent than you, yet he was disgraced out of office by a Fayose that possess even lesser academic qualifications. APC is dead and buried in Ekiti at least in the next four years.

Point of correction. Fayose was not speaking as "if his party would win". It's an incontrovertible fact that Jonathan/PDP WILL WIN the Saturday polls. Qoute me as from Sunday, the 29th.
Politics › Re: Is Buhari's 1984 Regime A Replica Of Lee Kuan Yew's (RIP)? by OLADD: 5:05pm On Mar 23, 2015
major466:
Exactly. Mr Lee is well grounded in basic laws of economics - demand, supply and the principle of free enterprise. Qualities Buhari lack.
Good points. The same way Buhari cunningly sheilded his deficiencies from public scrutiny as a young head of state (when virtually all govt routines were vested in the hands of his deputy) is what APC is replicating by streamlining his public speech and appearance. Buhari simply lack basic governance attributes.
Politics › Re: General Buhari When He Was Oga To Abacha(picture) by OLADD: 4:52pm On Mar 23, 2015
GBTYO:
Buhari never ended Maitassine and Maitassine movement differs completely from Boko Haram
You are right. Maitassine was not a full-fledge terrorist organisation but a conventional ragtag militial ,hence they were defeated with conventional military onslaught. Boko haram on the other hand has terrorism, insurgency and political colourations. In the same vein, nobody tagged the decimation of Maitassine as a fight against the north as Buhari did. The then oppositon political parties did not criticise the govt as APC did when they condemned Jonathan for proscribing Boko haram.

JonBee1:
Lee kwan Yew's tremendous role in Singapore economic development is beyond doubt but it also came at a significant cost for human rights.
His determination to lead his country from a third world contries to the leader of first world nation, also came with restricted freedom of expression, strongly enforced discipline and self censorship.
Don't just try to compare death with ordinary sleep. Don't dare equate light with darkness. Lee Kwan Yew did not trample on the rights of common masses when in power. He did not undermine the laws of demand and supply by forcing people to sell their wares below cost price. He did not enact a decree that retroactively snuffed life out of an accused whose offence did not attract death sentence. Lee did not engage in international high profile kidnapping of his fellow citizen. The architect of modern Singapore did not condemn his govt for killing insurgents. He did not instigate people from his faith to vote only those who can protect their faith.

To show how truly clueless Buhari as a soldier was :

Buhari claims never to be part of the 1983 coup that overthrew Shagari. He claimed ignorance of the coup i.e. to say that Buhari as a Maj. General was unaware of a plot to overthrow his commander and chief.

Fast-forward 20mths after Shagari's ouster and Buhari's dismal despotic regime, Buhari is still ignorant that a coup is about to be staged to get rid of him. The pic below was at most a few months before Buhari's ouster with one of the prominent figures behind that plot in it.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/2239292_wyi6fewwaed6drxqeuimre9b_jpeg0ebbd3c22a193f96077253f9369562eb
In one of his interviews, Buhari actually claimed he had an inkling of IBB's plan to topple him but ironically he was just too lame and docile to stop the impending (palace) coup. A man who could not stop mere bloodless coup is today boasting of ability to combat Boko haram insurgency. Someone who publicly said Abacha was not corrupt is now using the fight against corruption as a campaign gimmick! Buhari is too deceitful to rule Nigeria.

The Presidential debate has just ended and Buhari unsurprisingly was not in attendance. This is the man that claimed to be the messiah that is to bring about the change that we all needed. A man with respect for the rule of law nor for the people. It is a slap on the faces of every true Nigerian for him to stay away from the debate. For this sheer act of insult and a belittling of the Nigerian nation, Buhari is long gone. NTA and AIT doesn't belong to Jonathan neither was the debate an actual election hence whatever his reason for boycotting it is unjustifiable. It was only a medium to air your manifestoes to the Nigerian nations on the reasons to be voted since most of us do not follow your campaign train. Besides, it's also a test of wit, strength and articulation for this country need no faint hearted as a leader. If I were an APC member, today I would have thrown in the towel, for it is indeed a truth that my intended president cannot face the crowd.
Great points.

The President has just made his opening remarks where he mentioned his landmark achievements in the last 4 years and the need to consolidate on them in the next four years. He specifically dwelt on his administration's positive impacts on agriculture, road construction and rehabilitation, railway revival, almajiri education in the north etc.
