londongal03:Don't be evasive! Buhari was only playing smart having seen the reality in his three weeks old government. When confronted about his health status on his way back from UK just before the elections,, he boasted of his ability to beat the reporter in a relay race. He has only traveled to four countries and the message is setting in. Buhari is too frail to govern a country as complex as Nigeria. |
God bless my amiable and patriotic ex president. I, amongst the 170million fellow countrymen and women will continue to see you as a hero. Some kidbrains said you did not have any choice other than to concede defeat on March 28, but those of us (who still have our senses intact and versed in our nation's history) knew the sacrifice you made to keep Nigeria one, even in the face of monumental electoral fraud committed to BRING-BACK-THEIR-GOVERNMENT). The victory of the wicked is just temporary. Cheers President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and best regards. |
Farewell President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the most humble, patrotic, civil, amiable and progressive leader in Nigeria's history. The nation had missed another begging chance of cementing her fragile unity and fogging a united entity due to unbriddled power covetousness by a few. They called it "Change" but the saner minds see it as "power-must-go-back to-the-Sahara". Though you had your shortcomings as a mortal, the nation will remember you for good in no distant future. Byebye my GEJ. |
barcanista:God bless you too. God bless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Though he had his shortcomings as a mortal, he obviously is the best president in the annals of our history. Farewell GEJ. |
I had deliberately withheld comments on Nairaland since the historic declaration of Major General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of March 28, 2015 presidential elections. My silence though propelled by circumstance, has however afforded me the ample opportunity of further assessing the minds of Nigerians as typified and represented on Nairaland. In the rundown to the elections, many of us who were (and are still) ardent supporters of the outgoing president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, had reeled in absolute confidence of his emergence as the president-elect going by his moderate performance in office. How wrong can we be. In all sincerity, I began to nurse palpable fear of likelyhood of the president loosing when INEC released the statistics of PVC distribution across the country. With a large percentage of distribution and collection tilting favourably toward a particular region of the country, the reality of the unexpected happening began to sink in. However, let's leave that discuss to another day. While the elections were approaching, many of us including my good self even tried to 'pressurise' God to ensure GEJ's victory. I can vividly remember some of my posts such as 'My faith in God will diminish if Buhari/APC wins the presidency', 'Nigeria is dead both Spiritually and physically if APC wins the presidency'. While I sincerely regret premising my continual faith in God on the outcome of elections conducted by mortals, posterity will judge whether or not Nigeria remains a Going Concern post April 11th, 2015. Before we loose touch with the pulse of the topic under discuss, I sincerely salute the courage, perseverance, patriotism and doggedness of GEJ's supporters before, during and after the March 28 elections. No doubt some of us might have been propelled by pecuniary considerations (though I don't have any prove to that effect), one thing that remains incontrovertible is the fact that many of us pitched tent with President Jonathan based on personal conviction and principle. In fact, contrary to many APC apologists who accused us of been "paid e-warious", TANOIDS etc, someone like me was enmeshed in acute, pathetic and pitiable financial constraints. So, whenever I got bashed by some vociferous opposition elements of been paid to support Jonathan on Nairaland, I just laughed. It's interesting to note that I am not a Niger Deltan neither was I directly or remotely benefitting from Jonathan's Govt other than been a concerned Nigerian. My support (and presumably that of numerous GEJ supporters) centred on the following; 1. As an astute follower and watcher of Nigerian political evolution, Jonathan's presidency (till 2019) would have healed so many wounds and further cemented our fragmented bond as a united nation. 2. The president would have had the opportunity to consolidate on his modest achievements for a better Nigeria. 3. Allowing the opposition to catapult themselves to power through despicable propaganda, outright lies, blatant deciets portends danger for a Godfearing nation like Nigeria. 4. And lastly, though of little significance, the Niger Deltans would not have asked for too much, to rule Nigeria for paltry eight years of our existence as a nation. While congratulating Buhari and his supporters (both on Nairaland and elsewhere), I wish to celebrate my amiable president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for redefining how politics should be played in Nigeria. Though he indeed had a fair share of shortcomings while steering the ship of this highly complicated and volatile nation to smooth sail, there's nothing presently or in the nearest future that would erase my deep love for his humility, civility, tolerance and patriotism. In the anals of our political history, GEJ's name will continue to vibrtae in the minds of his teeming supporters as an architect of modern day democracy in our nation. As God permits us to live, we would continue to read and tap from his encyclopedia of civil governance. FAREWELL Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (2010-2015) and God bless Nigeria. |
santity100:Friend, Buhari WILL NOT WIN this election. Mark my words. |
DeCritique:Well said. The card reader recorded a 40% failure in 12 states of the federation during the mock trial and Jega did not see a looming crisis. Even in Ghana whose population is a little more than a combination of Lagos and Ogun, the card reader had lots of hitches how much more a voting population of 56 million! Many sane Nigerians saw this coming and raised alarm but Lai Mohammed, Tinubu, Buhari and other satanic individuals turned deaf ears. Nigeria has a long way to go. |
franciskaine:Your dullness is beyond any spiritual or physical redemption. If you don't desist from mischief, your eternal abode with Lucifer is guaranteed. Was it PDP that forced Jega/INEC to introduce a defective device for a general election? May God punish all of you that called PDP names when they raised alarm about the dysfunctionality of that fake Chinko box called card reader. |
It's obvious we have more almajiris in the south than the north contrary to popular notion. When we cried out that the card reader was an accident in waiting, the misguided APC miscreants called us names. And as for Jega, universities in Nigeria need to do more due diligence before awarding PHD. How he became a professor is a mystery. |
lalasticlala:Unbelievable!!! Tinubu is talking about legacy and ethics. Lucifer may soon begin to preach about righteousness. |
jomoh:Whether you reply or not, that's you and your father's business. Actions and reactions are equal and opposite and that implies that you deserve all tantrums thrown at you. Take your stup.dity from Nairaland but let it be known that thousand of your likes cannot curse me. Son of Lucifer. |
jomoh: |
jomoh:Arrant bumkum! Do you think I am impressed or agitated by such rants? You didn't seem to fully understand the context of my last post, if you did, there's a part that says non of your stup.id curse will have effect on me and I hereby say you are a bastard if you desist from further curses. Ironically, I am amused that an idi.ot like you was talking about hypocrisy. Gosh! What's an height of hypocrisy when you crookedly and satanically accused the PDP for an error committed by INEC? Was it PDP that caused INEC to distribute Bauchi State election materials to a southern state? You are a pathetic human being. This only shows that a lot of kid brain and sons of Lucifer (one of whom you are) are so many on Nairaland. On a last note, take your animalistic threat back to your bossom, it's not meant for me. You are nothing but empty barrel. |
Collynzo419:That's a lie. He was only been accredited. Voting will not start until 1.00 pm. Get your facts right. |
jomoh:For your information, no curse, I repeat no curse will have effect on me now and in the future. And how can you unreasonably say national issues are not my concern? If issues bothering on our polity and peace are inconsequential, what does? Be a part to Nigeria's greatness and not a clog in her progress. Get that into your brain. |
PassingShot:Hope you're not suggesting that the security operatives should not do their jobs again because of party politics? Do you know what those people had done that warranted their arrest? Let's talk as liberal Nigerians and eschew partisanship. Ok? |
oluwafemi113:This only shows you're a criminal. Today is election day and you're campaigning for a political party by showing a thumbprinted specimen of ballot paper in favour of a political party on social media. This is how you court trouble by violating the law only to turn around and blame law enforcement agents for going after questionable characters like you. I am compelled to say you're a disgrace to Nigeria |
jomoh:Woe betide you. Yes, I say may your life be bedeviled by misery. You want to curse me? Try it and see how you'll run amok incurably. PDP is not my family neither am I a politician but comments from idi.ots like you contribute to the pitiable state Nigeria has found itself. What is the relationship between INEC inefficiency and PDP as a party. If you are not mad, why should you blame others for things they probably know nothing about? As said earlier, try the curse and live a devil-tormented life thereafter. Bastard. |
harrysterol:This guy, what's wrong with you? Do you need to be told that Bauchi's result sheets would have been short changed? |
harrysterol:Not intentional? It's obvious many of you hardly read the news before coming to say rubbish on Nairaland. Five weeks ago, PVCs meant for Kebbi were found in Cross River, Ogun State was flooded with PVCs meant for other states and now, presidential results sheets for Bauchi were found down south and you claimed that's a mix-up. I am compelled to believe that your life was configured with mediocrity. |
jomoh:May God punish you for spitting that arrant nonsense. What has PDP got to do with INEC misdeamenour? You are a disgrace to the people through whom you were brought to this world. Empty brain. |
ozoigbondu:God bless you too. |
daroz:OP, that's a blatant lie. It actually means PIGS VOTE CONMEN (i.e All Progressives Conmen). You got it? |
Valto:Well, I don't blame Mbaka but the church that encourages deceits by pastors and their followers. Ours is a clime where some scammers parade themselves as men of God. That's why the bible says we should put all spirits to test. |
goryorhal:Baba, iya ati gbogbo idlile e ni were. The hatred you nurture for the president will confine you to psychatric hospital. Animal. |
MrEverest:Thank you. God bless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
PassingShot:Oh! market is good. The signs are positive for good sales of all Jonathan's brands as from tomorrow. Watch out. |
goryorhal:It's "nonsense" in the minds of evil-minded individuals like you but after tomorrow, you can do the needful by looking for the nearest lake around and take a plunge. |
Temmi001:Hate will definitely send you to eternal damnation. The president has given vivid details on the stealing-corruption statement but it's unfortunate that evil-minded individuals like you will never listen. It's in your DNA. NAMASA has disputed the claim of Tompolo owning any warship but busybodies(one of whom you're) will never close your bucca cavity. Concerning the "missing' $20b , you can join other members of your family to set up another audit team to vet NNPC books if you're not comfortable with PWC Reports that reveals such money was not missing. In the alternative, kindly shut your mouth now and forever. And finally, why do myopic brains like you always heap the entire blame of unemployment on the Federal Govt? Have you ever asked questions on the rate of employment at state level? Is it the sole responsibility of the president to provide jobs for all Nigerians? How many states in Nigeria has provided quality jobs, affordable housing, portable water and other social security schemes for their respective inhabitants? The Jonathan administration might not have scored 100% but it has done well in the last few years. Stop all this unreasonable antagonism. |
PassingShot:Another untamed APC parrot on the loose! Why can't you shut your dirty mouth and await the outcome of tomorrow's election before spitting trash. The president as a candidate and leader of the nation has every right to comment on national issues including expressing opinions about his political opponents just as Buhari has done against him severally. From your bunkum, it's obvious you're a poor student of Nigerian political history. Placed side by side, the Jonathan's administration is by far the best compared to its predecessors using all performance indicators, the facts are there for liberal minds to see. And whether you like it or not, Jonathan's mandate to rule Nigeria till 2019 has already been renewed. Watch out from tomorrow. |
goryorhal:I only hope you won't die of shock after Buhari's humilation on Saturday. Qoute this mail after the elections. |
steppin:Association of Political Conmen. Very deceitful, chamelionic and hypocritical. |
