In fact Diezani Allison Madueke got in on merit. ![]() Her dad's connection had nothing to do with it. ![]() Hmmmmmmm |
seedgie: Greeting to every body in this room pls @ xfire u re wrong, take correction. An adjective is a word used instead of noun. Do u copy that? ![]() |
This is really hilarious! It is funny how black people lay claim to smartness, intelligence, etc. People like Jarus and OYB are right! You mostly have to be hardworking to get in. It is true it isn't easy to get into these MOCs but it isn't impossible. And, you don't have to be Einstein to get in. This is what BlueDiva needs to understand. We can lay claim to our theoretical intelligence all we like, we are still not smart enough to run ordinary refineries. Even where these companies come from, Western countries that is, man sabi man dey wellu wellu. BP is one of the world's biggest oil companies, man know man dey there. In a recent report in Britain, it was discovered that best jobs are occupied by highly connected people. Not through beautiful CVs. Some don't even do any rigorous interviews. And I am talking about UK's leading law firms, entry level jobs in investment banking. Even O&G and journalism. If you think GEJ's candidate, for example, would struggle to get into Shell because Shell is so special, then you are in your own world. Well, that world is la-la land. Thank God for these Oyinbos sha. We wouldn't have known about this O and G anyway. |
BlueDiva: You are a fool for saying i'm wrong. ![]() Easy, Madam |
nitrogen: ^^^ You are a mediocre!!!!Quit this, man. You're wrong! You are human! |

morufoye: from the posts here I conclude that the average IQ of Nigerians is far less than 45. Imagine someone here hates medicine so much that he does not wish it for his enemy all because they are not rich.Don't feel like attacking you. But, you can go into it, you know. There are many universities around. To become a consultant, you need about 2 decades! After graduation, get a job at Adeoyo or Oluyoro General Hospital or any other hospital in your area and come back to let us know what you think about the profession. There are rooms for doctors in these hospitals. Just be careful, bedbugs bite a lot! |
jennykadry: Lol. Medical doctors in this generation and in westernized countries earn heaps. Money aside, you have to love the profession first and not the money. Loving medicine will take you to places in life.We are talking about doctors in Nigeria. The profession is okay in the West but not in Nigeria. You can even make more than 2,000 dollars/day. In Nigeria, It is different! Imagine, consultants in Nigeria don't like to be addressed as 'mister.' When a doctor in Naija becomes a consultant, he/she simply stops working. He/she does what he/she likes. Well, no motivation. I respect doctors but, like all professions in Naija, doctors are not really doing fine. It annoys me when I see jobless/unhappy doctors. They should be well paid. And, the lazy ones should also work harder. |
centje: you're very very far from the truth. Medicine and surgery is one of the oldest profession and one of the best thing that happened to mankind. You are right but doctors in Naija are not happy! They are poor |
Messilo: Medicine and surgery the best course for brilliant and hard working students. Medical doctor the best profesion. let me remind all of you that one of my brothers are just finish in law school, but they offer him N25,000 a month salary job, but that can never be happen to a medical doctor. up noble course, up medicine&surgery, up noble profesion, up medical doctor. You are kidding, right? Just visit private hospitals in your neighbourhood and let them let you in on the unpleasant details of the medical profession |
Medicine is a very useless course. Most doctors are not really happy. Most of them are not rich. Many are unemployed. . . many are frustrated. And girls are now saying NO to doctors. Why go for a doctor when you can have Okey Japan at Alaba International? Medicine? I no go even wish am on my enemy. |

Okay . . . okay. I have to employ this strategy in order to "fight" (if you understand code word "fight" )hard-to-get naija girls - a weekend at my parents'. The guy clever no be small. E be like say na this "weekend at my family house" na im dey get naija girls these days. Lemons dey sweet ![]() Singing everybody in love - JLS |
Take it easy, guys. Seun is not perfect but this doesn't mean we should lay into him with angry, venomous outbursts every day. He knows his weaknesses . . . . he acknowledges them. I think Jarus is also mature enough to handle this. All in all, sheathe your sword, guys. Happy new year! |
Seun: Jarus didn't resign because of anything I did. He resigned because he was too busy to moderate. He tried to use me as a scapegoat, though. . This Seun na real case |
Odunnu: I will so appreciate it. Happy new year.Happy new year, Omalicha. |

^^^This thread isn't devoid of errors! This year, I may rejuvenate it or start another thread about office issues and jokes. |
Idolys: lolThanks. I didn't make any clarifications; so, I'm sorry. I should have been more explicit. It is countable. And, it is uncountable (mass noun). http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/space?q=space noun |
AjanleKoko: Iro oh.Yes! I have to defend my blue-ribbon club. We won Cup Winners Cup - a trophy in Europe! |
Congratulations! |
Merry Xmas, Nairalanders |
wellmax: Guy go get a life. Why are you taking panadol for another man's headache. Did I hear you say OYO workers are less than 5% of total population? Did you also say govt is spending too much on a welfare package. Morons like you don't deserve a response. You don't have facts Äπϑ its evident you don't use your brain.Yes they are less than 5%. I think he re-painted some FGN-assisted mass transit buses |
@ topic That is not true. In English, for example, one may say, "Joshua gave the book to Tom," as a statement and also ask "Joshua gave the book to Tom?" as a way of confirming an assumption. The difference is always in the tone of the sentence.
Thank you! |
Gentle Naaz: guy its nt askd as question. Dia is diffrnc btw ![]() Sorry, you are wrong |
