Nothing can be worse than taking the journey of death to the West just to escape Africa. That migration is an open invitation to re-colonisation, if you don't know. Tell us what happened under colonialism that worst hasn't happened under self-rule African. You don't know what it is to be a slave in your own land. That is what Nigerians are in Nigeria. All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.

It is obvious, Africa is the orphan of the world. No other continent except the war-ravaged Middle East has record numbers of its youths risking the journey of death to get to Europe for a second slavery. African leaders have failed to look after Africans. It is only a matter of time before the civilise world re-colonize Africa since the future of Africa as represented by its youths now begging to go into slavery in the West.

The plight of Nigerians are not better under self-rule, hence, the truly impoverished Nigerians would mind not re-colonization which sincerely hold the promise of an absence of hunger and reduced poverty.

Nigerian leaders are incapable of looking after the country Nigeria. But will rather continue to line their pockets with government funds. If only these shenanigans calling themselves protesters know what is best for them, they would not have embarked on this foolishness. The black race self. Na wa o.

Be mindful of others misinterpreting your words. You could be misconstrued for giving a tacit support or justification for the unjust brutality soldiers inflict on innocent civilians.Some civilians were brutalized for as much as walking too slowly in front of a soldier on a sidewalk. We all deserve to be respected but the respect we ask for the soldiers is that of the nation because they shield us from threat from either within or external.

@Bensiah,
Is that the exposé? What a disappointment.
Anyway, I see a desperate attempt to deflect issues from the crux of the matter which is the land being sold by Monan Garden Estate is a disputed land and Monan should stop selling it until the many litigations on the land are resolved.

@Bensiah,

‘’Deceive’’ is when you say or claim what is not true. I challenge you to tell everybody that the pictures are not true?
Did EFCC execute an interim order of forfeiture on Monan Garden Estate Sangotedo or not?
Hence, I humbly request you to clarify what you meant by deceiving people.
I suppose anybody can go there to take the pictures.
And, you need not get emotional, please. And insulting people on a public forum says a lot about moral standards. The worst thing, cursing people on a public forum.

@TheHeat and McJay, you are entitled to your opinions. I am not mischievous but only informing the public. Is there anything wrong in informing the interested public who have been reaching out to me in their numbers for updates . I do not see anything wrong in EFCC obtaining an interim order of forfeiture considered that Monan has been hurriedly selling the land in dispute in contravention of the directive by EFCC TO all parties to cease further sale or development on the land pending the conclusion of the matter. Whilst, I hold no brief for EFCC, it makes sense that EFCC strives to ensure no party to the disputed land continues to develop the land when the matter of ownership remains unresolved.

Since TheHeat is a journalist, I implore him to go on a fact- finding mission to EFCC rather than disparage the commission on Nairaland. The thing with most Nigerians is whenever, EFCC takes an action seemingly against our interest, we publicly lampoon the commission unfairly.

In this case, the commission is ensuring that justice is done and yet our ''learned lawyer, McJay and Journalist, TheHeat'' are castigating the commission.

I am surely not a lawyer and do not have an inkling on why the esteem Judge has continued to defer judgment on the matter, but I am certain that Justice will prevail.

Thanks

Dasuki should defend himself. If you did not do what you are accused of, you will be vindicated. Most fatal blows are delivered by enemies when we give them the weapons to harm us. Dasuki gave the so-called old foes weapons to harm him by squandering the commonwealth. Children, women, and families were dying while Dasuki and his cohorts were diverting the money that could have brought the Boko Haram victims' miseries to an end. They bought luxury cars and houses with the blood money. The blood of those who died unjustly cried for justice by ensuring that the person who will hold Dasuki and his cohorts to their crime assumes power.
No sentiments will save Dasuki. Justice must be done.

How easy to pass the bulk. How is Buhari responsible for diesel scarcity. Scarcity is reportedly due to the scarcity of foreign exchange. Foreign exchange is scarce because Nigeria is not earning enough from the sale of oil unlike in the past couple of years. Even if Buhari had devalued the Naira earlier as canvassed in some quarters, it is inevitable that prices of commodities including diesel will become higher. I do agree Buhari has his sore points but it is not right we just come out posting things uncalled for.

@McJay,

Patience is a virtue. We will follow the course of justice. The court will decide the matter and neither you, I or any other parties.

@Lawyer,

Your responses are being awaited please.

Cheers

MrMcJay:

Bro, If you are sure of your title to the disputed land, kindly take the matter to court. The criminal matter by the EFCC is just a ruse which would be kicked down by even a 100 level law student.

I refuse to tell you why (as it is the duty of your lawyers), but the Court was already giving you a pointer to that when it asked the EFCC to go and prove that land is capable of being stolen.

However, I suspect this is done on purpose for the sake of red herring. Trying to use the criminal charge to stampede the other party.
Talk of ignorance and mischief. Have you ever heard that a court trying a criminal matter awarded title in land to a complainant? Has any court adjudged you as the RIGHTFUL owner of the land? In this matter, you are at best a Prosecution Witness.

In any case, my simple advice for you is to gather your documents together, hire a COMPETENT lawyer and approach the appropriate court for redress. Don't disturb us here, Nairaland no be High Court.

Just an advice.

@Lawyer,

The Monan Trading Company land dispute matter

I did not see your post until some days ago and have equally being busy. Please see the post at the bottom of mine.

I note your continued efforts to shift the public attention from the crux of the substance to attacking my personality. Please note, there is no correlation between the number of post a person makes on Nairaland and being quarrelsome as you alluded in your response to @lonso.
Furthermore, you dragged yourself into this matter by claiming a close relationship with the lady who owns Monan trading coy. I did not drag you into the Monan land grab matter but rather, I wanted you to help warn the public being a lawyer that is respected on Nairaland.
However, you chose to do otherwise. Please recall you initially claimed acquaintances with Monan and promised to investigate the matter and report back.
You subsequently reported back that Monan’s title checked out at Alausa and that the title was not only genuine but also superior to the titles of others like me who had bought same land 10 years before and with registered titles.
Despite all my warnings, you choose to attack my person and boldly encouraged Nairalanders to buy this disputed land. Those who followed the post then may likely testify to this if they care.
On the crux of the matter, what @lonso and other admirers of your work on Nairaland are requesting from you are your sincere responses to the following harmless questions;
1. Did you actually check Monan’s title at Alausa? Did you truly sight Monan’s title document?
2. What is the date the title was registered at Alausa? What date did she register the red copy of her survey plan?
3. How did you come about the opinion that Monan’s title was superior to the title of other people she was in dispute with over the land?
4. How did you come to the conclusion that the title of the other people which you never saw was inferior to that of Monan?
5. Was the due diligence you did on Monan’s title done same way as you do for your clients especially the ones on Nairaland?
6. Are you aware another gentleman accused Monan of fraud on another land matters. Please use google.

Hello Lawyer,

Goodevening House, My mother just informed of one of her tenants who has refused to pay his last year rent. When he moved in 2014 he didn't complete his rent, he owed 30k and the rent of 2015 he hasn't paid which made his total rent owed to be 280k as at now. The Major issue now is the 2015 rent is due March and by April he is suppose to pay for 2016. And she explained to me that this man has made no attempt to pay. She has spoken with him and sent letters or reminder. Mind you my Mother said she was considering the man's plight as a family man . Please should she serve theQuit notice to this tenant. And the 6months Notice I want to ask is it free or the tenant pays for the 6months used. Please advice as she wants me to come and intervene. I really don't know much of Property issues.

Await your replies.

Thanks

The last time i joined issues with olaoreawofele because of Monan i regretted doing it because some people come to Nairaland to instigate fights to make people look silly. I have learned not to do that again. I won't join issues with anyone again here. You can bring my name into your conversations to provoke comments but i won't not wrestle in the mud with you again. Monan issue is the only issue you bring to Nairaland and i gullibly got sucked into the conversation that went out of hand. You are free to update us on Monan but i would not be participating in it in anyway. If you say i attacked you back then, i am sorry and it was done in the heat of passion when you also provoked me me to react.

EFCC have charged Monan trading company and others including Mrs. Moji Yakubu for forgery of deed of assignment and the stealing of Oyetubo Joko Tade Estate Resources Limited’s land in Sango Tedo, Eti-Osa LG, Lagos State.
This is the culmination of a long drawn battle between the plot owners on one hand, and Monan trading company alongside some disgruntled family members (Omoniles) who allegedly aided the alleged forgery and resale of lands already sold and possessed by legitimate plot owners from Legal Partnership Consult, the authentic attorney to Oyetubo Joko Tade Estate Resouces Limited.
It has been a long walk to seek justice but we, plot owners, have faith that justice, equity and fairness will prevail. We have pursued legitimate route to address the matter and have also warned members of the public not to buy stolen lands from Monan.
In the course of such warnings, we encountered many attacks from the foot soldiers of Monan trading company, even on Nairaland. A respected lawyer on Nairaland is one of them.
Please see Punch report of the proceedings at the last hearing of the case. Case has been adjourned to 11th February for arraignment.

Tell me this is not true.

Buhari was at the villa in connection to setting up a transition committee for handing over. At the meeting, Goodluck asked for the list of representatives of APC & the required remuneration. Buhari was surprised that Goodluck's list & corresponding cost was put at #3billion for a job estimated to last only 2months. Goodluck then asked why Buhari's list didn't show corresponding cost? Buhari answered that his team was made up of volunteers and their feeding would be by individuals/self even if they have to bring in leftover food from their homes. This is the beginning of purposeful leadership....
Politics / Re: Buhari Visits Owerri As Okorocha Champions The Affairs Of Ndi Igbo by olaoreawofele: 11:30am On Apr 07, 2015
EUROBOMBER:
The recent happenings in Lagos have created so much tension between the Igbo and the Yoruba. There is so much bitterness and hate talk flying around and this will not do us any good.

When you try to break a wall using a sledge hammer, you need to apply several blows before it gives in. You might need to apply a 100 blows but one thing to note is that it is not the 100th blow that breaks the wall, it is a combination of effects from the very first blow. This brings me to the recent statement credited to the Oba of Lagos to the Igbos. I condemn the statement and I believe every right-thinking person should do the same in the interest of peace and civility. What I want to tell my Igbo people is that the Oba's outburst is not just as a result of the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Lagos but a combination of factors. I hear some of our people calling Lagos a no-man's-land and this is just too bad; this is the height of arrogance and disrespect. How can we move into a Yoruba land, enjoying God's blessings and prosperity only to turn round and tell the people that their land belongs to nobody, that we feed them, and that they cannot survive without us and all the other rubbish and provocative stuff??

Clearly the Oba has been harbouring this anger as a result of the arrogance and provocation of our Igbo people and just could not contain it this time and lashed out.

My Igbo brothers, can we sit down and ask ourselves why we have been so aggressive towards the Yorubas? What have they done wrong to us to deserve this provocation and arrogance? The Yorubas are a very peaceful people and we turn round to call them cowards and all sorts of names. What do we want the Yorubas to do to prove to us that they are not cowards, rise up and go on a killing spree? These Yorubas even returned all our properties to us after the civil war something even our close neighbours in the SS didn’t do!

What does it take to respect your host and do as they wish my people for Christ’s sake? We are prosperous in Yoruba land and are enjoying the land and have no problem with the people, all they are for is for us to know our limits and give them their respect is this too much to ask from us? Let me ask my people one honest question, why are we not shouting that Kano is a no-man’s land The Yorubas have been very nice and taking all these insults from us and we turn around to point our fingers in their noses and call them cowards! Jesus! We claim to be Christians and worship God, is it not written in the bible that blessed are the peace makes for they shall be called the children of God?

My Igbo people please see a sample of what is making the Yorubas very angry with us:

1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE.

2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI UBAH

3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN CAMPAIGN.

4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM

5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO

MY QUESTIONS TO IGBOS,

1. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED?

2. CAN EMIR OF KANO ACCEPT ....?

3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SINGLE TRIBE IN YOUR CABINET IN THE EAST?

4. CAN ANY TRIBE CLAIM ONITHSA OR ABA TO BE NO MAN,S LAND?

5. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT THE ELEVATION OF SARKIN HAUSA IN ONITHSA TO OBI STATUS?

I want to use this medium to appeal to well-meaning Yorubas to forgive the childishness and foolishness of our people. Please drop any plans of violence being planned against our people and all other diplomatic ways of punishing our people in your land including Lagos.

We recognise that LAGOS IS A YORUBA LAND and will respect that. Please I appeal for calm and understanding. I am inviting some Yorubas I respect on this forum to help reach out to your people to be calm, I have personally decided to start a campaign to reorientate our people as God helps me in my own way to change the way we think.

Even God told Moses that if he could find just 10 righteous people he will not destroy Sodom & Gomorrah. Igbos like me are far more than 10 in Lagos and other areas of SW. Please do not bring out the beast in you and and please allow better judgement prevail over emotions.

Good message to cure the hatred from both sides. Spread it far and near. Many Yoruba feel disrespected but would not do what the Oba did though.

I cannot agree less with your reasons and submissions.

irunoobo:
[b]This election is not about GEJ been scammed in southwest or not. The people of the SW and north spoke the truth with their votes. It is unfortunate the Igbos made a wrong political gamble by supporting GEJ even though he failed woefully and did nothing tangible for their region. They failed to forget the past and embrace national unity hence their political decisions has always damaged their chances of having a major political influence or relevance in the Nigerian system.

There were so many indications that Jonathan was going to lose - He prepared late; he was careful with the timing of his declaration, when body language showed he was interested. He had no message for the people. All I heard were trains and fertilizers, YouWin, benin-Ore road and SureP(Really?) for 6 years. His campaign strategies reeled of derogatory statements and unnecessary personality attacks instead of concrete manifestos. APC employed consultants, PDP employed losers (FFKs, Okupe, Abati, Reuben, TANs etc). Jonathan heated the polity with ethnic-religious campaign strategies, jumping from one church to another; what do you think the Muslims would do? His wife continued to make derogatory statements against the North calling them names for making babies they can't cater for and insulting them with the constant mention of Almajiri schools. He was deceived by his aides , greedy people around him and he became a sectional leader. He was a bad product and I made mention of this regularly, a bad product never sells.

So I would say he scammed himself, he deceived himself by running to the south west bribing kings for endorsements as if the masses don't know what they really want.

He has successfully created a divide along tribal, religious and ethnic line all around the country and it will take a massive national reorientation to restore our national unity.

I will not pat him at the back for conceding defeat cos he already knew what awaits him if he acted on the contrary. He was part of the crew that ousted Gbagbo and he is fully aware of the watchful eyes of the ICC and instead of spending the rest of his life in jail like Gbagbo, he chose to return to Otueke to enjoy his loot in peace.

Gej should have won this elections easily if he had the interest of the masses at heart. He will forever live with the stigma of the first incumbent president to be ousted in Nigeria.
