A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), on 27 January 2018, successfully destroyed an artillery gun and some gun trucks belonging to the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) in the Sambisa Forest. A NAF Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform and the RPA had observed the terrorists withdrawing with the artillery gun and gun trucks after an unsuccessful operation. The NAF crews on both the ISR and the armed RPA trailed the withdrawing insurgents to their final destination in Parisu. Thereafter, the RPA acquired the artillery gun position and attacked the piece, causing a huge explosion and destroying the equipment. The explosion also killed insurgents operating the equipment and those around it while a few others were sighted fleeing from the site of the explosion. The successful air strikes are part of the ongoing coordinated air and land operations aimed at ridding the Sambisa Forest of the remnants of the insurgents.

Some workers at the national assembly created a scene on Monday, after Biodun Olujimi, senator representing Ekiti south, allegedly asked her aide to assault a member of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).

The lawmaker was reportedly irked by the decision of the PASAN member to ride in an elevator with her.

The senator was on her way to the public hearing of the senate committee on petroleum downstream, investigating the N5 trillion subsidy payment to the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC).

Olujimi allegedly ordered her aide to slap the official. The national assembly staff immediately told members of PASAN who were holding a congress on the second floor of the new wing of the senate.

This caused an outrage as his colleagues stormed out of the congress in a bid to attack the lawmaker, who was scuttled to safety by her security guards.

“From today, I will start entering lift with senators. No senator will ever push me out,” a national assembly staff said in anger.

TheCable learnt that the parliamentary staff were holding the congress to embark on a strike.

Speaking with journalists after the incident, Olujimi vowed to take the matter up with the police.

A lot of IEDs must have been made considering the secondary explosions after NAF strikes. BHT were dealt a real blow there.

Swift move by NAF and NA to destroy these vehicles. It will seem to me that they were mostly taken from the assault around Diffa early this month. Very very impressed by NAF and NA for this victory. Those cars are a lot!

The NFF have got a very good coach in Thomas Dennerby. He seems to have been in Women's football for very very long time. A former police officer, he has coached (assistant coach) at 2 olympic games, UEFA U19 champs, and 2 world cups. We can expect him to bring some organisation to our womens' football. Hopefully, he will also open the door for our ladies to play in Scandinavian leagues, which will be very good for them.

I dont know why you're ashamed. I am a teaching staff at a university that ranks top 20 in Pharmacy worldwide. I tell you again that a Pharmacy student has no need for physics.
Analytical chemistry has no need for physics. You can stick to naming individual courses in pharmacy, but none of the ones you've mentioned so far requires O'level physics knowledge.

Have you heard about a course called pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology? Without a sound knowledge of physics you can't understand that course. Also, So many aspects of Pharmaceutical chemistry encompass physics.
Do you also know that Pharmacy students study pharmaceutical mathematics?

I would think this is not true as I lecture in that area and I've been doing that for 4 years now. No prior knowledge of physics is needed to study pharmacy. You can take that to the bank.

I dont get why pharmacy students need physics though.

I must confess, that drone video on our troops is very depressing. All BH need is a good intel officer and they can take out ALL the troops at that position.
